Story
Pet's Story Johnson is an affectionate cat and a survivor of cruelty. "He is now 100% recovered from the neck injury caused by a heartless person on the street."-he is 4- 5 years old, he’s a loyal companion who prefers floor play, especially chasing hands and feet; he was never used to being held and dislikes being carried. Ideally, his home should have hard floors for his cardboard scratching. Due to a move, I cannot take him. It would be incredibly cruel to let this sweet cat end up on the streets again. He needs stable environment. Guys !!! Please adopt Johnson; he’s a wonderful friend who deserves a safe forever home after everything he has endured. 470 407 8499

Story
Shadow is a sweet, mild mannered older cat. She is very independent and does not like help getting up and down the stairs. Her days of being curious and mischievous are long behind her. She is affectionate on her own terms, like most cats are. She is up to date on her vaccines, has been spayed and is healthy for her age. She had labwork done recently and I can provide those results. I will also provide her two litter boxes, litter, toys and food to come with her.

Story
Meet Texas Pete (Action Superstar) Texas Pete — The Spicy Superstar! 5 months old - Silky & shiny fur - Brave, brilliant, and full of heart Meet Texas Pete, the little cowboy with a big personality and a heart of gold. He and his siblings found themselves, through no fault of their own, in a rural shelter facing euthanasia. But fate (and a quick rescue mission!) had other plans. We pulled them just in time, and Texas Pete has been showing everyone what it means to make the most of a second chance. At first, he and his siblings were shy, unsure of what to make of humans. But Pete, ever the brave one, was the first to decide that people aren’t so bad after all. His confidence helped the others come out of their shells, too, he’s that natural leader everyone loves to follow. Now, Texas Pete is a certified superstar. He’s playful, energetic, and the first to come running the moment you pick up a feather toy. He’s always ready to show off his ninja jumps — yes, the kind that defy gravity — and he’s convinced he should be working as a professional action model. In between his stunts, Pete makes time for his daily routines: following you into the bathroom every morning to make sure you’re doing okay, sleeping in bed with you at night, and demanding a fair share of cuddles and head scratches. He’s also ridiculously smart. Food puzzles? Solved. Treats? Oh, he’ll do anything for them — and he’s not shy about training you in the art of snack delivery. He loves watching Cat TV and even enjoys playing tablet games for cats (yes, he’s tech-savvy). He’s also learning to walk on a harness and leash — though he’s pretty sure his foster mom is the one being trained. Texas Pete is a gentle soul with kittens, grooming them and acting like the best big brother ever. He loves other cats, adores attention, and thrives on companionship. He’s silky soft, loves being brushed, and even tolerates nail trims and teeth brushing like a little gentleman. He’s the complete package — playful, affectionate, curious, confident, and oh-so-loving. Texas Pete is still a kitten and thrives on companionship, thus he needs to be adopted with one of his siblings or into a home with another playful cat to match his energy and keep his big heart full. Here is some information why we have this policy: Two kittens are better than one For a pair of kittens we apply a $25 discount from each adoption fee. Pete are estimated to be 4.5 mo old as of Oct 2025 and fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. He tested negative for FIV and FeLV and heartworms Check out more photos and videos of Pete here: Pete Photos To meet Pete, start by filling out an application here: Adoption Application Questions? info@littlelivesatl.org

Story
Meet Socrates The Fearless Leader With Endless Questions If curiosity had a face, it would be Socrates. Born in a homeless camp to their resilient mom Era, Socrates and his siblings entered the world surrounded by hardship. After a devastating fire destroyed the camp, these tiny survivors were rescued at just 4 weeks old, still blue-eyed and learning whether humans could be trusted. Socrates didn’t hesitate long. He walked right up and asked, “So… what’s next?” Personality: Bold, Brave, and Born to Lead Socrates is the clear leader of the group. He is fearless, confident, and always the first to explore something new. New room? First in. New toy? Already claimed. New human? Already greeting you. While the other kittens eventually collapse into a cuddle puddle after hours of play, Socrates keeps going — exploring, investigating, learning. He’s the most independent thinker of the bunch, happily entertaining himself when needed, yet always choosing to come back for affection. Socrates needs to know what you’re doing at all times. Cooking? He’s supervising. Cleaning? He’s helping. Sitting down? He’s already there. He is mesmerized by anything new and thrives on enrichment — toys, food puzzles, kitten TV, and interactive play. He’s endlessly happy, tail up, eyes bright, and always ready for the next adventure. Socrates adores his baby brother Cicero and would love to be adopted with him. He’s protective, playful, and endlessly patient — the best big brother. That said, Socrates truly loves everyone and would also do beautifully in a home with another playful kitten who can match his energy and curiosity. He’s social, affectionate, and confident in new environments — a kitten who makes himself at home wherever he goes. Despite his independence and bravery, Socrates is deeply affectionate. He seeks attention, loves being involved, and wants to be part of every moment. He’s the kind of kitten who makes you laugh, follows you everywhere, and fills your home with joy. Socrates must be adopted together with his bonded sibling Cicero. Here is some information about why we have this policy: Two kittens are better than one For a pair of kittens we apply a $25 discount from each adoption fee. Check out more photos and videos of Socrates here: Socrates Photo album Socrates is estimated to be 3 mo old as of Jan 5 2025 and fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. Story
Foster sibs Ash, Hooper, Coal and TJ   Cole is a shy, sun-loving girl who can usually be found lounging happily on her favorite perch by the window, soaking up every golden ray. It’s her happy place—and she deserves many more of those. While Cole may be a little reserved at first, she’s quietly curious and open to connection. Approach her gently, and she’ll meet your hand with a thoughtful sniff.  She especially enjoys the quiet companionship of other cats—male cats, in particular, give her confidence and comfort. Laser toys are her passion!  Cole would thrive in a calm, patient home—ideally with someone who understands the gentle art of working with shy kitties. A home with a friendly male cat could help her blossom even more. If you’re seeking a peaceful companion with a soft heart and a love for sunshine, Cole might be your perfect match. All she needs is time, trust, and a place by the window.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 7, 2025, 7:34 am
