Story
Trevor is playful, curious and confident. He transitioned easily into his foster home of several small dogs. He is initially reserved with strangers but warms up quickly with toys or treats. He is quite the biscuit maker and knows how to put on the charm with his foster mom. He loves playing with toys and checking out the neighborhood sights from his window perch. This former long time shelter kitty resident is looking for a forever home to call his own. Trevor does have Feline Leukemia. Cats with Feline Leukemia can live normal happy lives they just have a shorter life expectancy. Feline Leukemia is only contagious to other cats. It is species specific and not contagious to other pets or people. Trevor would be fine living in a dog household or in a home with another FeLv positive cat. He does do well with other FeLv cats. Trevor is healthy but because of his FeLv status he would need to be indoor only cat and is at increased risk of illnesses if exposed to diseases. A good diet, low stress and regular veterinary visits are recommended. Trevor does not need any special medications or treatment. You wouldn't know Trevor is FeLv positive by looking at him and he deserves a life with dignity and to be adopted into a loving home. There is no adoption fee on Trevor. We are just looking for a loving and caring home willing to give him a chance at life. All cats/kittens are spay/neutered, fully vaccinated, treated for any parasites, tested for Feline Leukemia and FiV and receive a microchip with a lifetime of free registration.

Story
Hi this is Braxie, found as a stray along with another cat about two months ago . He’s extremely sweet and loving loves a cuddle and likes outside time. He loves window perches and looking outside . He’s sleeps easily through the night on top of his cat tree looking out window. Black cats are hard to find homes for but he’s the best most sweetest boy. Looking for experienced cat people who will give him lots of love and safe environment.

INDEPENDENT & INQUISITIVE  DOB 8/25/21 Hello everyone! I’m Elsa, a sweet, stunningly beautiful black DSH/ Bombay mix with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. I’m independent and very inquisitive. I’m initially shy but am so food-driven that I always nudge closer to my foster meowmy for a good treat. I love to tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my siblings. I can also entertain myself because I love balls with bells, catnip mice, and crinkle toys. Plus I’m very comfortable around the dogs and other cats in my foster home. Hopefully you're not superstitious because, as Groucho Marx said, 'A black cat's crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere.' I’m so grateful that I was rescued into a foster home because black cats are five times more likely to be euthanized at a shelter. Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of their outstanding personalities and emotional stability. I hope you’ll arrange to meet me! I’d like nothing better than for you to open your heart and home to me. I’ll need patience and time to come out of my shell in my new digs, but it will be worth the effort! I’m one little black panther who’ll leave tiny paw prints all over your heart HOPE ID 22-0219-G022 If you are interested in Elsa and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at hope@homelesspets.net and a volunteer will get back to you. EASY-GOING LOVEBUG  DOB 9/1/21 Howdy everyone! I’m Indy, a handsome, easy-going black DSH/ Bombay mix dude with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. It took me a while to learn that being petted, chin scratches, and lap time with my foster dad might just be a good thing. My mom Luna led the way, so I started curling up on my foster dad’s warm chest for a quick power nap and discovered that it was pretty delightful. My favorite pastimes include following my foster dad into the bathroom (Bombay mixes can be very dog-like), looking handsome, and watching the world go by as I bask in a patch of sunshine on a windowsill. My favorite likes are dry food, toys with tassels, and warm beds. I hope you're not superstitious because, as Groucho Marx said, "A black cat's crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere." I’m so glad that I came to my HOPE foster home because black cats are five times more likely to be euthanized at a shelter. Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of their outstanding personalities and emotional stability. Arrange to meet me today. Find out if YOUR chest could be my next napping station! https://photos.app.goo.gl/9LhdD26NmAhzMUtGA HOPE ID 21-1204-C089 If you are interested in Indy and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. SHY ROMANTIC GUY  DOB 9/10/22 Looking for a bedfellow? One who won't take all the blankets or infringe on your personal space? Bagheera, which is Hindi for "panther," may be the guy for you. He's extremely shy and will take time to adjust to your home, but once he does, he'll be your constant companion. He won't ask for much but will want to be with you and occasionally sit in your lap. His second favorite place to rest is on an ottoman or in a cardboard box. Are you a patient, caring person? Bagheera would love to meet you. HOPE ID 23-0319-G042 If you are interested in Bagheera and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php .
