Story
Floyd is a big, beautiful house panther and one of the friendliest cats you will ever meet! He was trapped living outside and he had a hard time adjusting to shelter life initially. Once he settled down, the shelter staff was amazed at his super outgoing nature! He became one of the friendliest cats in the shelter! He was not happy being in a small cage and quickly made fast friends by jumping out of his cage to give kisses to anyone who would give him the time. He is an ultra outgoing and loving guy. His tail is always up - strangers? That is not a term he recognizes. He loves everyone! He is also great with other kitties :) This guy needs to be a part of a family - desperately! Layla is a striking beauty with gorgeous copper-colored eyes and a shiny black coat. This sweet young adult gal is a super friendly and wonderful companion that will happily greet you as soon as you walk into the room. She loves to talk to you, follow you and when youre standing she will put both paws up on your leg politely asking for attention and waiting for you to pet her then it only takes one stroke on her pretty head to activate her sweet purr motor :) Layla craves love and definitely returns it - you can't go wrong if youre looking for a calm and loving lap cat! She is a real gem and would make a wonderful addition to any family who opens their hearts and home to her - perhaps that could be yours? September 6, 2026, 4:16 pm

Story
Meet Harrison! 🖤 SUMMARY * Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat * Harrison will take time and patience to fully open up. * Harrison gives "love nips" when excited so may not be the best choice for small children. * He would love to be adopted with his equally-large and quirky buddy Rob. * Adoption Fee (cat > 1.5 yrs) is $315 and includes all vetting and cost of transport (we are located in Houston) Harrison is a big, handsome Bombay mix with an even bigger personality! With his gorgeous yellow-green eyes, impressive jumping skills, and goofy antics, he’s impossible not to love. He may look like a serious gentleman at first glance, but spend a little time with him and you’ll quickly discover the playful, affectionate, slightly silly cat hiding underneath that handsome exterior. He is a total goofball! Harrison spent the first few years of his life living underneath a local bar alongside several other cats. When the bar closed, Harrison and his friends suddenly had no one to care for or feed them. Thankfully, they were rescued and brought into foster care, where they received the veterinary care and love they needed. He was a little shy at first, but after spending time getting comfortable with indoor life he is ready for a permanent family. He's come such a long and blossomed into an absolute sweetheart! Once Harrison trusts you, he loves a good cheek scratch or butt scratch, and he may even roll over asking for belly rubs. He can get a little carried away when he’s excited and may give an occasional love nip, so he’s still learning some manners when it comes to expressing his affection. This can be a little alarming but it's not an aggressive bite - however he may not be the best pick for a household with small children! Harrison does have a few quirks that we expect will continue to improve with time, patience, love, and the stability of a forever home. He isn’t a fan of being picked up, and he can become nervous when someone looms over him. He does best when given the opportunity to approach people on his own terms, or if he is approached when he’s on a perch (just a little higher up than the floor!) With a little patience and respect for his boundaries, Harrison is a wonderful companion and a perfect little gentleman. And despite his size, Harrison is still a kitten at heart when it comes to playtime! Wand toys are his absolute favorite, and his eyes light up when he sees one. He’s also a big fan of wet food and Churu treats and will happily come investigate whenever the “good stuff” makes an appearance. He isn’t an overly chatty guy, but when he’s getting especially good pets, he may reward you with a few adorable little chirps. Harrison is very close with his buddy Rob, a creamy-grey tabby boy who is equally large and quirky. If you have room in your home (and heart!) for both of these boys, we'd love to see them adopted together. Harrison’s journey has taken a little longer than some, and that’s okay. He may need several weeks (or even more) to feel comfortable in a new environment. He hasn’t had the easiest start in life, but he is a true ray of sunshine once he knows he’s safe. We know the right person will understand that earning Harrison’s trust is a process, and we promise he is worth every bit of patience. If you’re looking for a goofy, sweet, big-hearted boy who will reward your patience with affection, chirps, playtime, and lots of personality, Harrison may be your guy! 🖤 --- Harrison is approximately 2-3 years old, neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy.

The adoption application can be found here:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat

Harrison is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

 --- ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts!

Story
READY TO PERK UP YOUR DAY WITH HER LIVELINESS  DOB 4/17/26 Hey there, everyone! I am Java, a gentle, outgoing, and affectionate Bombay mix gal who got my name because my dark coloring resembles coffee and because of my lively personality. I thrive on being held, cuddled, and stroked by all ages of my hooman family. I curl up on Foster Daddy‘s chest while we watch YouTube videos on his phone. When Foster Meowmy opens the door, I scamper up to greet her in hopes that it is time to play or be petted. When she is in bed, I cuddle on top of her wherever I can find a cozy spot. Plus I am mellow enough to play gently with the 5- and 7-year-old kids in the family. My busy foster home includes an adult male cat and a small senior dog, and I get along great with them too. I am so confident, easygoing, and adaptable that I have already had a blast on a family road trip to San Antonio, where I quickly settled into my new accommodations. My feral momma birthed my twin brother Joe and me on an apartment balcony, but -- thank heavens -- Foster Meowmy trapped our momma and brought our little family to the safe haven of her home when I was about two weeks old. About a week later, an orphaned ticked-tabby fella who was a week younger than Joe and me was introduced to our momma, and she lovingly accepted him as one of her own. Suddenly I had a new brother named Mocha! The three of us have so much fun tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling, and when we are exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. Now I am ready to become your affectionate best friend who will provide endless cuddles and playtime antics to brighten my forever home. Although we are available separately, it would be the cat’s meow if Joe could be adopted with me. We could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you are at work or on vacation. Remember that there is nothing like a little “java” to perk up your day!  Arrange to meet me today! HOPE ID 26-0529-M052 Java’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. To apply online: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site that Java will be this weekend, email us at sfenicle1@gmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you. BOYS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN  DOB 4/5/26 Juniper may be a plain black kitty, but there’s nothing plain about his personality! This handsome boy absolutely adores his brother, Wasabi. The two of them can wrestle and roll around for hours, then somehow decide the best way to show their love is by trying to devour each other’s food! Sibling rivalry? Not here! These two are best buddies, partners in crime, and clearly believe everything is better together.  HOPE ID 26-0510-G068 Juniper's $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites.
