REGAL BLACK BEAUTY  DOB 10/1/17 Hi everyone! I’m Nicki, a sweet, quiet, affectionate, beautiful, black DSH/ Bombay mix gal with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and copper-penny eyes. I'm a "Velcro" cat because I like to sit quietly beside my foster meowmy while she works from home. That's just in case she stops for a break and gives me a scratch on the ear or a pet on top of my head. I luxuriate when she brushes my glossy coat. I'm a bit plump because I tip the scales at about 13 pounds, but I pride myself at being an elegant plus-size model. I have a lot of extra skin that's soft and squishy, and I adore when Foster Meowmy scratches it. I've never been around kids or dogs, but I get along great with the other cats and kittens in my foster home. My sister Chrissie and I were rescued from dumpster-diving at an apartment complex in southwest Houston. My favorite parts of the day are treat time and when I get my turn in the hammock. Like human sisters, Chrissie and I argue over whose turn it is for lying in the hammock and getting an even share of the treats. Hopefully you're not superstitious because, as Groucho Marx said, "A black cat's crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere." I’m so glad that I was brought to my HOPE foster home instead of a shelter because black cats are five times more likely to be euthanized at a shelter. Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of our outstanding personalities and emotional stability.  Although Chrissie and I are available separately, it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. That way we’d keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. If you're looking for a regal black panther who's past the stage of kitten mayhem, I'm your girl! Arrange to meet me (and Chrissie, for that matter!) today! HOPE ID 18-0120-0003 If you are interested in Nicki and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at hope@homelesspets.net and a volunteer will get back to you. INDEPENDENT & INQUISITIVE  DOB 8/25/21 Hello everyone! I’m Elsa, a sweet, stunningly beautiful black DSH/ Bombay mix with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. I’m independent and very inquisitive. I’m initially shy but am so food-driven that I always nudge closer to my foster meowmy for a good treat. I love to tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my siblings. I can also entertain myself because I love balls with bells, catnip mice, and crinkle toys. Plus I’m very comfortable around the dogs and other cats in my foster home. Hopefully you're not superstitious because, as Groucho Marx said, "A black cat's crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere." I’m so grateful that I was rescued into a foster home because black cats are five times more likely to be euthanized at a shelter. Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of their outstanding personalities and emotional stability. I hope you’ll arrange to meet me! I’d like nothing better than for you to open your heart and home to me. I’ll need patience and time to come out of my shell in my new digs, but it will be worth the effort! I’m one little black panther who’ll leave tiny paw prints all over your heart HOPE ID 22-0219-G022 If you are interested in Elsa and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at hope@homelesspets.net and a volunteer will get back to you. EASY-GOING LOVEBUG  DOB 9/1/21 Howdy everyone! I’m Indy, a handsome, easy-going black DSH/ Bombay mix dude with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. It took me a while to learn that being petted, chin scratches, and lap time with my foster dad might just be a good thing. My mom Luna led the way, so I started curling up on my foster dad’s warm chest for a quick power nap and discovered that it was pretty delightful. My favorite pastimes include following my foster dad into the bathroom (Bombay mixes can be very dog-like), looking handsome, and watching the world go by as I bask in a patch of sunshine on a windowsill. My favorite likes are dry food, toys with tassels, and warm beds. I hope you're not superstitious because, as Groucho Marx said, "A black cat's crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere." I’m so glad that I came to my HOPE foster home because black cats are five times more likely to be euthanized at a shelter. Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of their outstanding personalities and emotional stability. Arrange to meet me today. Find out if YOUR chest could be my next napping station! https://photos.app.goo.gl/9LhdD26NmAhzMUtGA HOPE ID 21-1204-C089 If you are interested in Indy and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. LOVES TO PLAY FETCH  DOB: 7/9/22 You there! You!  I'm Trudy!  I'm the life of the party! This house will be BORING without me. Explore my awesomeness. I LOVE to fetch! I NEED fetch play time. I'll bring you my toys to get you to play fetch. Right now I'm at a 100% launch rate to go get it. I'm currently at a 90% retrieval rate on the little yellow moon and 70% on the fruit mice. I have a toy budget of $8 a month, so you'll need to keep my toy money in the black in order to adopt me. Sometimes I like to get crazy and try to take a shower with you. I like the clear vinyl shower curtain liners so I can see why in the world you're in the water! Then I might need to climb the outer cloth shower curtain just because I'm entertaining like that. Either way you need a sturdy shower curtain. I'm absolutely delightful, and everything I do is cute. I love people, but I'm especially good at pestering the older cats. They hate it, but I don't care! I make them play with me. I can be a little talker when it comes to play time or food; other than that I'm pretty quiet.     HOPE ID 22-0827-A036 If you are interested in Trudy and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you.
