Black Velvet lives with her sister Skittle, and they are both solid black, but 'Velvet' has an old scar on her head. Rescued near Manassas, she and her sister are learning to trust humans in a safe place, and she is beginning to make progress. Just as the moon was full in the sky, there was a clanging sound: the trap had been triggered. Upon inspection, the trapper was shocked; instead of the intended stray dog, she had caught a pretty little kitty with chicken McNuggets. For obvious reasons, the gray-and-white bicolor cutie was named Moonie McNugget and was sent for spay and vaccinations. Although she was a bit shy, Moonie seemed to be friendly. With ample time for decompression, Moonie McNugget has come out of her shell, seeking out pets and hanging out with the resident cats in her foster home.
