Looking for a confident, charming companion to brighten your days? Meet Star, a handsome 4-year-old cat with a big personality and an even bigger heart.Adoption Application:https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/CatStar came to Roses Rescue after his owner fell on hard times and made the difficult, selfless decision to prioritize Star's well-being. While that change was hard, Star has adjusted beautifully and is ready to find a new family to call his own. This friendly guy loves to explore his surroundings and is always curious about what's happening around him. Whether he's chasing a laser pointer, batting at an automatic toy, or perched high above the room keeping an eye on things, Star likes to stay involved. In fact, he considers himself the household manager and takes his supervisory duties very seriously!Star loves enjoying his outdoor time. He walks wonderfully on a leash (check out his video!) and enjoys safely exploring the world alongside his people.Star has previously lived with both dogs and cats and is comfortable sharing his home with other respectful pets. He enjoys companionship but also appreciates having a high perch to oversee the daily operations of the household. If you're looking for a confident, affectionate cat who will keep you company on adventures and then supervise your activities from the highest spot in the house, Star is the perfect addition for your family.Apply to meet Star today and let this shining star light up your home! Star does great with kids, dogs, and other cats. He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and has great litterbox habits._ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Location & TransportStar is currently in Houston, Texas, but can be transported to the Northeast and Pacific Northwest, or cities along the route.Adoption Application:https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Story
Meet Tofu, a chunky little cuddle bug who deserves the BEST life indoors with lots of love!IMPORTANT INFO:- Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat- ROSES Rescues is located in Houston, TX. We transport our kitties to adopters in the Northeast and Pacific Northwest! **Cost is included in Adoption Fee.**- Tofu's adoption fee is $315.- With proper introductions Tofu may do well with another cat (better with males than females) or a calm and respectful pup. She would be fantastic as an only cat or if adopted with one of her kittens.---Tofu was found on the streets of Houston with her two kittens (Bean and Edamame, also adoptable). They were all initially supposed to be trapped, fixed, and returned to their outdoor colony, but Tofu and her babies were way too friendly to be put back out on the street! Despite having been outdoors for the first year or two of her life, Tofu was the first to really enjoy the luxuries of an indoor life. She immediately started purring every time she saw Her Humans walk by, and it was obvious that she wanted nothing but love and a lap to snuggle on!Per her finder/foster: We suspect she didn't have the easiest life prior to being rescued, and she likely had many, many litters of kittens before Bean and Edamame. We're just glad to help be part of Tofu's journey to a forever home in a much better place!!Tofu is a pretty big cat at almost 13 lbs, but that just means there is more of her to love. She is extremely affectionate with humans and is always seeking out attention (and food of course). We haven't tried it yet, but given how food-motivated she is, you might even be able to train her to do a few tricks!---Tofu is ~1.5-3 years old (it's very hard to pin down an exact age!), in great health, spayed, microchipped, negative for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy. All she needs now is her forever home!Adopt Tofu (and maybe one of her adorable kittens!), and double the love, double the purrs, and double the fun.---The adoption application can be found here:https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/CatTofu and her kittens are currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes (cost is included in adoption fee).———ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bear is a 6-year-old male Bombay who is a loving, people-oriented cat and enjoys being close to his humans. He’s friendly with strangers, loves to cuddle (especially laying on your chest), and even likes to “participate” in yoga by keeping you company on the mat. He is very vocal and will call to you if he feels lonely. Bear is very food-motivated—especially when it comes to baked goods—so a watchful eye is needed around snacks. Bear was previously owned, but after his owner passed away, he spent time living on the streets. Despite this, he remains gentle, affectionate, and trusting. Bear has a few manageable medical needs. He is diabetic and requires daily medication and needs to be on a starch free diet. He also has arthritis in his back left leg and benefits from daily fish oil to help manage joint discomfort and dandruff. Bear has successfully lived with other cats and shows no aggression toward new feline companions. Bear would thrive in a calm, attentive home with someone willing to support his medical care. In return, he offers companionship, affection, and a big heart! Story
Bayi is an incredibly affectionate and sweet cat who I rescued back in January from a neglectful situation (locked up in a room and only interacted with to be fed once daily). He loves to be held, scratched under the neck, and cuddling right up in your face. I think he would do well in a home with no other animals, specifically no cats, as he thrives being a solo pet. The negatives have been his behavioral issues. When bringing him home, I spent a month introducing him to my cats and keeping them separated. This only slightly bettered his aggressive, bullying behavior. While the aggression towards people was gone in days, you can tell he just cannot get along with other cats. Overall he is a "naughty", stereotypical cat. He loves to jump on things he shouldn't, knock everything over, and absolutely will seek out and tear open any bag that has food or treats in it. I'd love to keep him, but it's not worth stressing him and our cats out for. Fee is to make sure he goes to a good home.

Story
We are seeking a new home for a bonded pair of male American shorthair cats. They are not siblings, but met as kittens in the shelter from which we adopted them over a year and a half ago. They are both neutered and micro-chipped and up-to-date on their shots, and had a vet check-up recently (they are healthy.) Shoofly (the black one) turned 2 in March and Ollie (the grey and black one) turned 2 in May. They are relaxed, indoor cats and get along well with each other. They get along well with children and will tolerate being picked up and petted for a while, even taking a snooze on a child's lap sometimes, but they most often will get up after a while and walk away. They _love_ to watch birds and squirrels from the windows of the house. They confine their scratching almost entirely to their scratch posts. The behavior we haven't been able to correct is marking. They would be good pets for someone who would not mind working on the marking behavior.
