Story
ADORES NONSTOP HEAD MASSAGES AND CHEEK SCRATCHES DOB 4/13/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Pluto, a sweet, friendly, and loving Bombay mix gal with copper-penny eyes and a sleek, shiny black-patent leather coat. True to a Bombay’s nature, I’m a certified Velcro kitty who loves to stick right next to my Foster Meowmy or follow her wherever she goes. When she walks into the foster room, I’m the first of my seven foster mates to greet her. To show my delight in seeing her, I immediately drop my whole body on its side or rub my pheromones on her hands and ankles. I can be a cuddle bug as long as she’s massaging my head or scratching my cheeks, chin, and ears nonstop. Although I’m not a huge fan of being held, I prefer for Foster Meowmy to hold me to her chest with my paws over her shoulder. After my feral momma birthed Karma, Jupiter, Opal, and me outside of Foster Meowmy’s house, Momma moved us through an open window to inside a neighbor’s car . . . and then again a few doors down to a used-car business. Imagine Foster Meowmy’s surprise when she looked inside an old car and found not only us under the driver’s seat but also another litter of four kittens under the passenger’s seat!! When we were five weeks old and could eat on our own, Foster Meowmy gathered up both of our stowaway litters and brought us all inside to the safe haven of her home. You can imagine the mayhem that eight kittens can wreak inside our foster room! Although I will tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my siblings, I really prefer to spend my time lounging. We’ve all got a little mischief in our genes because we love to escape the foster room to sniff around and explore other parts of the house, but I’m usually the mastermind with the most ingenious plan to lead my siblings in our jailbreak. Now I’m ready to bring the sleek, shiny beauty and Velcro-stickiness of a Bombay to my forever family. Could that be you? Then arrange to meet me today! If you’re looking for a pair of kittens, please consider adopting me with one of the other #car-stowaways. We think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted in pairs so we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. HOPE ID 25-0614-A048 Pluto is currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. The $325 adoption fee includes transport, health certificate, spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. TUGS ON YOUR HEARTSTRINGS DOB 6/15/22 Meet Taco! This beautiful black kitty was found with a rumbling tummy outside a taco truck — so naturally, her name is Taco! Now safe and cozy in her foster home, Taco is living her best life and enjoying all the good things: soft blankets, chin scratches, and sunny windowsills. Taco is a gentle soul with a sweet personality. She gets along with both cats and dogs, but like any lady with standards, she may need a little time to settle into a new place. Once she does, she’ll reward you with purrs, head boops, and quiet companionship. If you're looking for a classy little foodie with a big heart, Taco might be the perfect match! HOPE ID 24-0309-G058 Taco is currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. The $325 adoption fee includes transport, health certificate, spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. OBSESSED WITH CATNIP DOB 4/1/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Onyx, a sweet, energetic, and very playful Bombay mix fella with copper-penny eyes and a sleek, shiny black-patent leather coat. When I relax on Foster Meowmy’s bed, I’m one of the best biscuit-makers you could ever find, especially if it’s in response to her nonstop head massages and cheek/ chin/ and ear scratches. I even enjoy “bongo time,” when she pats my bum. By the way, I’m obsessed with rolling around in and snacking on catnip. True confessions: although I secretly love attention and will tolerate some cuddle time, I absolutely abhor being held and will immediately squirm around until I can get down. My feral momma birthed Obsidian, Jasper, Topaz, and me underneath the seat of an old car parked in a used-car business. Foster Meowmy’s finding us might never have happened if she hadn’t been trying to rescue another set of kittens whom another feral momma had birthed outside of Foster Meowmy’s house. The other momma had moved her litter from Meowmy’s yard to a few doors down to the used-car business. Imagine Meowmy’s surprise when she found not only the kittens she’d been tracking under the driver’s seat but also my litter under the passenger’s seat!! When we were seven weeks old and could eat on our own, Foster Meowmy gathered up both of our stowaway litters and brought us all inside to the safe haven of her home. You can imagine the mayhem that eight kittens can wreak inside our foster room! We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. I can be a bit of a menace when I chase my siblings even when they don’t feel like playing, so then I release my energy by playing with the resident two-year-old cat. Paradoxically, I like my own space from the gang, so I spend my “time outs” resting at the peak of the bathroom cabinet or the cat tree, where I enjoy bird-watching out the window. Now I’m ready to bring my stunning good looks, expert biscuit-making and mischievous energy to my forever family. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today, and if you’re looking for a pair of kittens, please consider adopting me with one of the other #car-stowaways. We think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted as a pair so we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. HOPE ID 25-0614-A041 Onyx is currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bear is a 6-year-old male Bombay who is a loving, people-oriented cat and enjoys being close to his humans. He’s friendly with strangers, loves to cuddle (especially laying on your chest), and even likes to “participate” in yoga by keeping you company on the mat. He is very vocal and will call to you if he feels lonely. Bear is very food-motivated—especially when it comes to baked goods—so a watchful eye is needed around snacks. Bear was previously owned, but after his owner passed away, he spent time living on the streets. Despite this, he remains gentle, affectionate, and trusting. Bear has a few manageable medical needs. He is diabetic and requires daily medication and needs to be on a starch free diet. He also has arthritis in his back left leg and benefits from daily fish oil to help manage joint discomfort and dandruff. Bear has successfully lived with other cats and shows no aggression toward new feline companions. Bear would thrive in a calm, attentive home with someone willing to support his medical care. In return, he offers companionship, affection, and a big heart! If you are interested in Bear, please apply here: https://www.rocketrescue.org/forms/form?formid=5196   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 14, 2026, 4:49 pm

Story
Shadow is super playful and once he warms up, very cuddly and affectionate. We are rehoming due to the birth of our first child, as well as other life changes and unfortunately we cannot give him the attention he deserves. He has no fangs and missing several back teeth due to genetic disease, however he is still able to take all kinds of food just fine! (In fact, he LOVES food) He is a bit clumsy in the cutest way possible. We say he doesn't know how to cat sometimes. He loves his toys, and his favorite are rattle mice, ping pong balls, and laser pointers. He is currently exclusively indoor.

Story
After being an outdoor cat, Frey has adapted very well to becoming a chunky, playful, and vocal friend. He would do best in a home where he can come to you and gets some space to just be. His preference is to hide for a few days in a new environment and come out to seek attention when he feels ready. This means, unfortunately, he will not be interested in meeting in “person” first but we are happy to answer any questions about his habits and favorite things/activities. This good boy does not act his advanced age and truly loves to be social after feeing secure. His special needs includes his eyesight being VERY poor, borderline blind, and a heart condition he has developed.

Story
My name is Olive Oil, but I go by MooMoo. I love to cuddle, eating wet food and sunbathing. I am pretty quiet, but love to play. I have had only one human family in my life, but with new addition to the family, it has been harder to get the love I need. I will bring my bed, toys, and my litter box with me. Thank you, from my human family!
