Story
Pop and Smoke are 2 year-old, bonded brothers that can't be separated. They are super affectionate and pretty mellow but have different personalities. Smoke (pic 3) loves ear scratches and is a big attention hog. He's very vocal when he wants pets or is upset but prefers to cuddle on his own terms. He loves scratch posts and is a big eater. Pop (pic 4) has a distinct bump on his nose and always looks sleepy. He's very passive and sweet and loves chin rubs. He's a big cuddler but can be very floppy. He enjoys nesting in clothes and blankets and loves climbing. Unfortunately, my old roommate wasn't able to bring them when they moved, and I can no longer house them due to other pets and downsizing. I'm looking for someone who will take them both and give them all the love and climbing space they deserve.

Story
Meet Harrison! 🖤 SUMMARY * Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat * Harrison will take time and patience to fully open up. * Harrison gives "love nips" when excited so may not be the best choice for small children. * He would love to be adopted with his equally-large and quirky buddy Rob. * Adoption Fee (cat > 1.5 yrs) is $315 and includes all vetting and cost of transport (we are located in Houston) Harrison is a big, handsome Bombay mix with an even bigger personality! With his gorgeous yellow-green eyes, impressive jumping skills, and goofy antics, he’s impossible not to love. He may look like a serious gentleman at first glance, but spend a little time with him and you’ll quickly discover the playful, affectionate, slightly silly cat hiding underneath that handsome exterior. He is a total goofball! Harrison spent the first few years of his life living underneath a local bar alongside several other cats. When the bar closed, Harrison and his friends suddenly had no one to care for or feed them. Thankfully, they were rescued and brought into foster care, where they received the veterinary care and love they needed. He was a little shy at first, but after spending time getting comfortable with indoor life he is ready for a permanent family. He's come such a long and blossomed into an absolute sweetheart! Once Harrison trusts you, he loves a good cheek scratch or butt scratch, and he may even roll over asking for belly rubs. He can get a little carried away when he’s excited and may give an occasional love nip, so he’s still learning some manners when it comes to expressing his affection. This can be a little alarming but it's not an aggressive bite - however he may not be the best pick for a household with small children! Harrison does have a few quirks that we expect will continue to improve with time, patience, love, and the stability of a forever home. He isn’t a fan of being picked up, and he can become nervous when someone looms over him. He does best when given the opportunity to approach people on his own terms, or if he is approached when he’s on a perch (just a little higher up than the floor!) With a little patience and respect for his boundaries, Harrison is a wonderful companion and a perfect little gentleman. And despite his size, Harrison is still a kitten at heart when it comes to playtime! Wand toys are his absolute favorite, and his eyes light up when he sees one. He’s also a big fan of wet food and Churu treats and will happily come investigate whenever the “good stuff” makes an appearance. He isn’t an overly chatty guy, but when he’s getting especially good pets, he may reward you with a few adorable little chirps. Harrison is very close with his buddy Rob, a creamy-grey tabby boy who is equally large and quirky. If you have room in your home (and heart!) for both of these boys, we'd love to see them adopted together. Harrison’s journey has taken a little longer than some, and that’s okay. He may need several weeks (or even more) to feel comfortable in a new environment. He hasn’t had the easiest start in life, but he is a true ray of sunshine once he knows he’s safe. We know the right person will understand that earning Harrison’s trust is a process, and we promise he is worth every bit of patience. If you’re looking for a goofy, sweet, big-hearted boy who will reward your patience with affection, chirps, playtime, and lots of personality, Harrison may be your guy! 🖤 --- Harrison is approximately 2-3 years old, neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy.

The adoption application can be found here:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat

Harrison is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

 --- ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts!

Story
Meet the most charming and handsome 6-month-old baby boy Niko! Niko has the most beautiful eyes and silkiest coat. Niko loves to investigate and loves to hang with you and others. He is very playful with his sibling, Poppy and he loves his humans too. Niko enjoys being super silly and is an easy-going and easy-care kitty. For example, he lays on side and crawls along the carpet waiting to sneak up on his playmates. He loves to observe but also interacts engagingly. Niko is curious about whatever you're doing- cooking, reading, working on the computer or folding laundry. He might affectionately greet you when you come home! Some might say he has very "puppy like " qualities. He is super affectionate and seeks out love, but is also independent and happy doing his own thing. He enjoys playing with foster mates, playing alone, or just observing. He would do fine as an only cat or with a feline companion. Niko is neutered and has had all his vaccines, full vet exams, topical parasite control (includes, ticks, fleas, roundworms, tapeworms, hookworms) and microchip. He also tested negative for FeLV/FIV. Niko is litter-box trained too. Niko will likely be a medium-size cat at full grown and will be an amazing and lovable addition to your family. For more information and an adoption application, please email foster mom Lisa at birdz4lifeduh@gmail.com and please include your phone number. Niko is ready for the fun and adventure of his forever family.
