Story
At just over a year old, Barbara is a gentle, shy soul. It's clear she hasn’t had many interactions with people in the past. It takes her a while to warm up to people. There is no aggression there, she just will hang back and let other dogs get the attention. She watches from a distance, quietly longing for love, but too shy to ask for it. When she is alone with people, she slowly comes close. Despite her timid nature, there's a spark in Barbara that says she's ready to blossom with the right person. Everyone in her presence is drawn to her. Barbara will need a patient, compassionate adopter who can help her feel safe and show her that love isn’t something to be afraid of. She will never be a dark park dog, but in a quiet home, she will be a good companion. Barbara is good with other dogs. There is a dog in her foster home which she gravitates to. One other dog in the home will help Barbara feel more secure. Barbara is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in meeting Barbara, please fill out an application here: https://www.southpawrescue.com/adoption-application

Story
Jack Jack is a border collie mix, born June 2020 and 50 lbs. Good with kids. He was an outdoor dog. Came from a home with JR.  They were both strays taken in by Good Samaritan and helped as long as they could   Both very nice dogs - We'll make the pair a 'two-fer' to a good home.*Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. &#226&#128&#139 Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!  Hours Friday:  10 am to 3 pm Saturday:  10 am to 3 pm Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: CLOSED &#226&#128&#139 Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. **Note that during COVID, we are not holding open houses on any day. Please email us for an appointment and include your application (found on our website, beaglesandbuddies.com, under "Forms"). Most appointments will be Friday through Sunday, though other days may also be available. We usually schedule one appointment per hour. Allow 1-2 hours for your appointment. Please look at our website and make a list of one or more dogs that you would like to see. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Cheyanne - The Gentle Soul Learning to Shine If ever there was a puppy in need of a patient, loving heart - Cheyanne is your girl. This baby-faced beauty is the shyest of her siblings, and we mean SHY. She's the kind of pup who might tinkle a little when first scooped up, not because she's naughty, but because the world still feels so big and scary. But here's the magic: when foster mama holds her close, Cheyanne melts right into her neck - like she's finally found the safe place she's been looking for. In those quiet snuggles, she's learning that people can be gentle, that love can be safe, and that puppy life doesn't have to be so complicated after all. At about 20 pounds now, we expect Cheyanne to grow to a perfect medium-sized dog between 40-55 pounds. Her heart is as soft as her coat, and she's searching for a forever home that will go at her pace. A confident canine companion would be a huge help - someone to show her the ropes, reassure her that mailmen are not monsters, and remind her that couches are excellent for naps. Cheyanne won't be the life of the party right away - but give her time, love, and the right four-legged mentor, and this sweet, soulful girl will blossom into your most loyal companion. Could you be the safe haven she's been waiting for. Apply here to meet Cheyanne and show her what forever really means.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 22, 2025, 4:52 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Casper - The Sensitive Tough Guy Casper might be the biggest pup of his litter, but don't let that size fool you - beneath that sturdy frame is a soft-hearted goofball who's just trying to figure it all out. Sure, he can be a bit of a bossy big brother to his siblings (he IS the largest, after all), but when it comes to other dogs, he's all about good vibes and playtime. This freckly chunk is equal parts "tough guy" and "delicate soul". One minute he's confidently charging around the yard like he owns the place, the next he's staring wide-eyed at foster mama because - gasp! - a drop of water hit his leg while she was spraying the patio. Rude. But when it's his idea, Casper absolutely loves the kiddie pool. Splash sessions, zoomies, belly flops - you name it, he's in. And when he's all tuckered out, he's the first to come snuggle up for some well-earned affection. Casper is the most people-focused of his crew and thrives on attention, praise, and snacks (in no particular order). At about 22 pounds now, we estimate he'll land somewhere between 44-60 pounds when fully grown - just the right size for a lifetime of adventures, couch cuddles, and maybe a little more splash time (on his terms, of course). If you're ready for a loving, spirited pup with a heart as big as his paws, Casper's your guy. Let's find him the home his sensitive little soul deserves. Please apply here to meet Casper!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 23, 2025, 1:20 am
