Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Introducing Louie Armstrong of the R&B musician litter! These puppies were born on January 22, 2023 and are growing and developing so quickly! Mama appears to be a Border Collie/McNab mix (about 30-35 pounds) and Daddy is an Australian Cattle Dog mix (about 40-45 pounds) and the combination of the breeds is AMAZING. We may be biased but we are head over heels and we think you will be, too! These adorable, spunky little nuggets spend their days playing, barking and learning - you know, the usual puppy stuff. Add in several naps, lots of eating and pooping, and oodles of love and there you have it! Here is how the adoption process is going to go: We are now accepting applications for pre-adoption. There are 8 puppies - if you are interested in more than 1 you only need to fill out the one application but put who you are interested in in the notes. Once applications are approved (with property screening usually done via video), then you will be invited to meet the puppy or puppies of your choice. If you fall in love, and you will, then we will complete adoption paperwork and collect adoption fee. Puppies cannot meet other dogs in household as they have not completed vaccinations yet. Once puppies are spayed/neutered, which will be happening between April 24-May 15, then they will be able to go to their new home(s). If another dog in household, we will require an in person introduction with proof of current vaccinations. If for some reason, the pups do not get along we will reimburse your adoption fee. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ruby-Roo showed up at the train station with her babys’ daddy. All evidence points to them being dumped there. Sweet Ruby was evidently pregnant and needed somewhere to begin nesting and preparing for her puppies to arrive. Luckily the magnificent finders offered to foster them and then before they knew it, their 8 adorable pups. When Ruby was still caring for the pups, she was friendly but was obviously much more focused on what you may do to her puppies. She kept her eyes on you and gave you a good long stare to back you up if she thought you were over stepping your bounds. Now that those puppies have been weaned, Mama says it’s her day! She is sweet, friendly, affectionate, loyal and just perfect if you ask us. She and her baby daddy, Winston, wouldn’t hate being adopted together. They are very good together and seem to truly care for each other, if that’s possible for pups. Ruby is about a year to 2 years old and weighs approximately 35 pounds. If you are interested in adopting her, please fill out our application here.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 8, 2023, 8:01 pm

Story
Charlie was brought to YAPS as a puppy and adopted back in 2021. Unfortunately, an incident occurred in the home resulting in Charlie being returned to YAPS. Since returning we have found Charlie to be a complete gentleman with staff! He is bright, active and playful- true to his breed he is HIGH energy and would do best in an active home with no small children. He knows basic manners but does need some work on leash, though he is an eager pleaser and VERY smart!

Story
TIA is still looking for her special family! This beautiful, athletic girl came to YAPS as a rescue with her brand new litter of pups in October from a local municipal shelter! She quickly warmed up to staff with the use of treats and gentle, slow movements. She is very shy around strangers and takes some getting used to, often with the use of snacks, to make her more comfortable. She was a wonderful mom and raised all her babies to be perfect little bundles of floof! She is a high energy dog and would do best in an active home with older children and a family that is willing to work with her and build her confidence. She does not do well around cats or other small, fast things but if you want an athlete with a heart of gold and loyalty to boot she is your gal!! Tia is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped... all she is missing is YOU!
