Story
This sweet girl was part of a litter of puppies rescued after a fire in a homeless encampment and brought to Santa Barbara to find a new life. They were sweet and friendly from the start! Brianne looks the most like a border collie; her other sibs look more like Shepherds, with some Lab thrown in. They are all smart and friendly! Brianne was adopted but her family cannot keep her so we are looking to find her a new home. She will make a great companion to an active household!

Story
We adopted Bailey from the local shelter 2 months ago. She is super smart, sweet and playful, loving and gentle with our cat. However, we have very busy lives and can't raise a puppy at this time. She needs proper socialization because she is fearful and reactive based on this but once she gets puppy classes and lots of time to feel confident with other people/kids/animals she will be a perfect dog. Likes baths, agility activities, obeys basic commands, likes snuggling up, belly rubs, long naps. She sleeps through many nights from 9pm-6am but sometimes needs to go out. She potties well when asked. 4 months old, should have experienced puppy training to keep her on the path to perfect companion.

Story
COURTESY POSTING: COURTESY POSTING: Roscoe is in foster care for Santa Barbara County Animal Services. Please contact k9krma@gmail.com if you are interested in him. Roscoe is a really delightful young dog, approx. 1 year old. He was found as a stray in December and adopted by his finder, but the other dog in the household didn't like his youthful energy (of which there is an abundance) so he returned him to the shelter recently. Roscoe is now in foster care with 8 other dogs and a cat and doing great! Roscoe is high energy, very playful, and full of fun; he's perfect for an active household and would make a great hiking or running companion. He's also perfect for a family with another active playful dog, as he is super social! He loves EVERYBODY, including kids, but is too rowdy for really small ones at the moment. Roscoe is housebroken, crate trained, and good on leash. He's starting to learn sit, come, etc. He does have one challenge: he is congenitally deaf. It will make training him a bit more complicated, since he will need visual commands (hand signals), but dogs actually do better with visual training, and he is smart and eager to please. And he's always nearby, so not being able to hear at home doesn't affect your ability to find him. In fact, you wouldn't know he was deaf except he doesn't wake up when his foster mom comes home and he's asleep!
