WOOF! I'M ROCCO! I'm a 2-year-old Border Collie-Flat-Coat mix in need of a foster or forever home! I was recently rescued from a crowded California shelter, where I was impounded as a stray. I then was adopted, but returned less than 24 hours later as someone in the house had allergies. Fortunately I was rescued and now am ready for a foster or forever home! I have done great with other dogs and am a happy, playful boy. I love to play with other dogs and hang out with humans. I weigh 59 lbs. Could you foster or adopt me? After being rescued from Animal Services, where I was taken with my nine newborn puppies, I faced some health challenges with incredible bravery. I battled valley fever and pneumonia and, during my recovery, discovered a limp and a damaged wrist. But I'm a fighter and persevered through it all with the help of specialists and I'm now on the road to recovery. I am a calm and friendly presence, always eager for attention, pets, kisses, and the treats I so deserve. I adore attention and have a sweet, quiet nature that will win your heart. I appear to be good with other dogs and have shown no reactivity while on walks, making me an ideal companion for a leisurely stroll or a cozy night in. I'm a wonderful girl who is currently in a foster home, adjusting and thriving. I have even made friends with the resident cat, proving my easy-going nature and adaptability. With my foster family, I am on medication to support my health and manage any pain in my wrist, and I will have a follow-up x-ray in four months to ensure my continued well-being. I am ready to leave my challenges behind and embark on a new chapter filled with love and happiness. Chino is a good dog for the right home, but he has two flaws: he doesn't care to share an environment with any other dogs, and he can escape from almost any confinement. Since we like Border Collies in general, and since he was "overdue" at his animal shelter one day when we were there picking up another dog, he was also chosen and saved. We quickly learned that the part of Chino that is not Border Collie is probably one of the tundra breeds like Malamute, because we had to fully enclose every inch of his kennel to keep him in. (This was after he escaped from four previous attempts to kennel him.) The good news is that after escaping he only wanted to stay by the side of his human friends here at the rescue, so he'll need a pretty much constant human companion. Chino is about 3 years old and weighs about 80 pounds.

Meet Mulligan aka "Mully". This sweet boy was found abandoned, living on a golf course for a month! No one ever came to reclaim him once caught. Mulligan was very shut down and was placed into foster to decompress. After months in foster and being placed in a training program, Mully is now ready for his forever home. He is timid by nature but learning to be a dog again. To watch him learn to trust and make such progress is so rewarding. Mully needs a hero. He needs someone willing to show him he can enjoy time with his person and trust in people, while they be patient and let him enjoy life in a home. He is a gentle giant, timid but wanting to be near. Mully must have a patient owner and a companion dog who will show him the ropes. He is great with dogs and cats. His new home must be safe as Mully still has a desire for flight (not fight) so a secured yard is a requirement. He is also house broken and crate trained.
