Border Collie femaleSadie is a one-year old Border Collie.  This beauty was spotted in the fields of Bakersfield...  Her finder got Sadie to Animal Services for vetting needs. We prearranged for her to have a legal stray hold, and all her vetting needs completed. Spayed, chipped and current on vaccinations.  Sadie has settled in with the other dogs and is good with both adults and kids.  She has clearly spent time in a house before, but is also good outside with the rest of the pack.  Sadie is in Templeton, CA More photos and updates:  https://www.facebook.com/www.cchdrescue.org/  search in posts and photo albums. Story
Border Collie/Cattle dog mix, femaleWelcome Flash! Don’t delay getting an app in for the new girl because just as her name suggests she’ll be gone…in a flash.  Flash is a 10 month old, 45lb border collie / Australian cattle dog - we know because she was bred unfortunately. So far Flash has proven to be an awesome dog. She’ll thrive in a breed savvy, active home. She knows no stranger and immediately befriended her fosters upon arrival. She also had a seamless integration with her foster pack of 4 other dogs. She exudes confident, balanced energy. Sport dog people, she’s locked in, food and toy motivated. She also loves kids. She’s never been indoors but so far so good. She’s got some basic manners to learn like not jumping on people to say hi, but her DNA suggests she’s a smart cookie. She’ll be a quick study for a training-forward person or family. She also seems to know some basic commands and recalls well to a whistle. She is spayed and UTD on vaccines. Flash is in Arroyo Grande, CA More photos and updates:  https://www.facebook.com/www.cchdrescue.org/  search in posts and photo albums. Story
GP/BC puppies, female8 puppies, along with their beautiful Great Pyrenees mother found as strays.  A good Samaritan found them and took them home; the pups were about 2 weeks old at that time (born between March 25-27) Mom has been spayed and has her forever home with the finders. Judging by the health of these puppies, she will have excellent care, a home for life, and no more puppies! ABOUT THE PUPPIES!  6 girls and 2 boys (both reserved).  3 of the girls are fluffy, and 3 have smoother coats.  They are now (6/1) about 8 weeks old and ready to find their new homes.  It appears dad was likely a Border Collie. These pups are calm, sweet, affectionate, and they look to people to and to be picked up. Love to be held, and better do it while you can! They will be big!  They have lots of confidence and have already met a pack of adult dogs. All the pups are chipped, current on vaccinations, and will go home on spay contracts with a refundable deposit. Four of the girls are in Templeton.  The other two are in Strathmore for now. Story
Milo is 2 yrs old. He is very sweet, affectionate, smart and athletic. He does well with other dogs and very well with our family, but has anxiety when guests are over. He has never been aggressive or bitten anyone, but he will hide and bark.A few months after we got him we had a family crisis and were not able to give him the time, training and confidence-building he needed. He knows basic commands and has a lot of potential. Would do great with room to roam or adventures to go on, someone with experience with anxious dogs, and who will show him the affection that he craves and help build his confidence. This is a very difficult decision, we love him dearly. Our older dog needs surgery and I don’t know if we can manage it all, nor do I think he would do well in a shelter. He is a wonderful boy with so much potential. But we want the best for him and we cannot provide it at this time. Any help or interest is appreciated!

Story
Lacey is a sweet 4 year old Pitt Bull/Border Collie mix. She can be a little shy when she first meets you, but warms up quickly to calm energy and wants to stick by your side. Lacey would do best in a home with no cats, as she chases them, and would prefer to be the only dog so that she can get all the love from her humans. She has lived with other dogs and does ok with them, but gets overwhelmed by higher energy and dogs too in her face. Lacey is crate trained and enjoys playing with toys. She is ready to go home to be somebody`s new best friend today!

These pups are in Paso Robles, California too!

Story
Cattle dog mix male, 1 year oldMeet Rocky! This guy was found dumped and abandoned.  Rocky is a male cattle dog mix with beautiful blue eyes!  He is somewhere between one and two years old, and around 35 pounds.  Rocky is dog and people social and is neutered, chipped and up to date on vaccines.  Rocky would be great in a home with children. Little ones, bigger one's whatever! He sees a child and lights up! He can't wait to give kisses and snuggle. it's amazing! Never have I seen a dog like this.  Rocky is housebroken and rides beautifully in the car on the back seat.  He's not a chewer. He does not do well in a crate. he'll stay in it, but protests for 5 minutes, 5 minutes is a long time! We would like a home where crating is not a necessity. Rocky is in Templeton, CA. Story
Cattle dog mix, maleRuger and his brother Diesel are nearly identical!  This 2 year old tri-color Heeler is a typical Velcro boy.  He’s a very sweet boy and gets along wonderfully with all the other dogs at the rescue.  These two are old school, real deal heelers. They have retained their sweet spirits in spite of ending up in the shelter. Ruger and Diesel will be adopted out individually. Ruger is chipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines.
