GP/BC puppies, female8 puppies, along with their beautiful Great Pyrenees mother found as strays. A good Samaritan found them and took them home; the pups were about 2 weeks old at that time (born between March 25-27)Mom has been spayed and has her forever home with the finders. Judging by the health of these puppies, I know she will have excellent care, a home for life, and no more puppies!ABOUT THE PUPPIES! 3 of the girl puppies are still looking for homes. They have smoother coats than their siblings but you can still tell the mix.. It appears dad was likely a Border Collie.These pups are calm, sweet, affectionate, and they look to people to and to be picked up. Love to be held, and better do it while you can! They will be big! They have lots of confidence and have already met a pack of adult dogs. All the pups are chipped, current on vaccinations, and will go home on spay contracts with a refundable deposit.One of the girls is in Templeton. The other two are in Strathmore for now. Story
Milo is 2 yrs old. He is very sweet, affectionate, smart and athletic. He does well with other dogs and very well with our family, but has anxiety when guests are over. He has never been aggressive or bitten anyone, but he will hide and bark.A few months after we got him we had a family crisis and were not able to give him the time, training and confidence-building he needed. He knows basic commands and has a lot of potential. Would do great with room to roam or adventures to go on, someone with experience with anxious dogs, and who will show him the affection that he craves and help build his confidence.This is a very difficult decision, we love him dearly. Our older dog needs surgery and I don’t know if we can manage it all, nor do I think he would do well in a shelter. He is a wonderful boy with so much potential. But we want the best for him and we cannot provide it at this time. Any help or interest is appreciated!

Maverick will do best in a home with a yard. He has been trained off leash and has good recall. If you are looking for a snuggle bug he is your perfect dog! We only need to rehome him because of our toddlers increase of activity has led to Maverick having high stress.

Cattle dog mix male, 1 year oldMeet Rocky! This guy was found dumped and abandoned.  Rocky is a male cattle dog mix with beautiful blue eyes!  He is somewhere between one and two years old, and around 35 pounds.  Rocky is dog and people social and is neutered, chipped and up to date on vaccines.  Rocky would be great in a home with children. Little ones, bigger one's whatever! He sees a child and lights up! He can't wait to give kisses and snuggle. it's amazing! Never have I seen a dog like this.  Rocky is housebroken and rides beautifully in the car on the back seat.  He's not a chewer. He does not do well in a crate. he'll stay in it, but protests for 5 minutes, 5 minutes is a long time! We would like a home where crating is not a necessity. Rocky is in Templeton, CA. Cattle dog mix, maleZen (formerly Radar) is back in rescue, no fault of his own. Life happens and once a CCHDR dog always a CCHDR dog.  Zen is a pint sized, low riding, rodeo clown looking for a breed-savvy, active, and engaged forever home. True to his breed, this dude LOVES to work. He is happiest in a training forward, structured environment along with another playful canine companion or two. He’s a dog’s dog. He is loyal, protective, and incredibly snuggly with his people. He does take a minute to warm up to new folks. He’s a celebrity around town and has amassed somewhat of a cult following - he’s that much of a character. Zen has grown so much since he arrived in rescue back in August 2025. His person put in a ton of training hours to get him dialed in on basic obedience, place work, ecollar, recall, loose leash walking, and more. He is fully housebroken. He is also insanely intelligent. Zen is 24lbs and 1.5 years old.  He is fully vetted - microchipped, neutered, up to date on vaccines, allergy tested Zen is OK with cats as long as there are multiple supervised introductions & they don’t run/act like prey - otherwise he will chase.  TRAINING IN PROGRESS: things on wheels - bikes, skateboards, and trash bins. He is also very protective of house/perimeter, and will alert bark to anyone approaching. Zen’s trainers over at Tired Tails have graciously offered a complimentary private training session and an additional group training class to Zen’s new family. They want to ensure everyone is setup for success and can continue some of the work he’s grown to love.
