Story
Molly was born on September 11, 2024. We adopted her from a family in Clovis, CA. when she was 12 weeks old. Molly is sweet, and very playful. Molly has been spayed by Woods in Atascadero, CA. We are looking for a loving family for Molly, she needs more attention than we are able to give to her as we both have demanding full-time jobs. Molly would be wonderful with children, she loves to play and would be ideal for a family who has time to dedicate to her, walks, runs, etc. Molly is very smart she can sit on demand.

Story
Border Collie/Aussie mix femaleWelcome Mae! Mae is a Border Collie/ Aussie / kelpie mix. She was intentionally bred by some ranchers and then kicked to the curb at a very young age because she didn’t show working potential. Some former CCHDR adopters got wind of this and took her in temporarily - got her spayed, up to date on vaccines, and then reached out to us for help with placement. Mae is super sweet and friendly with people, kids, and other dogs. NO cats, chickens, or livestock. She’s HIGH energy and intelligent…all the things you’d expect from a dog of this breed makeup. She’s young too - only 9 months old, 30-35lbs. She’s got some manners and basic obedience to learn, but has her wits about her. She just needs a dedicated and training-focused handler to make up for lost time. She is crate trained. Mae is looking to be someone’s pet. She will need an active, breed-savvy home to keep up with her mentally and physically. Do you have what it takes to keep a dog of this caliber fulfilled? If so, send us an application. Story
Buddy is a sweet, playful, and affectionate 2-year-old, 55-lb neutered male Border Collie mix who’s searching for his forever home. He’s social, active, and loves engaging with his people—whether that’s playtime, walks, or learning something new. He's leash-trained and loves to play fetch, showcasing his athletic side and attentive nature. He's ready to be your adventure pal and loves to calm down with belly rubs and love and affection. True to his breed, Buddy is very intelligent and responsive to guidance. He listens well and thrives with an adopter who enjoys working with a smart, energetic dog. Because Border Collies can be naturally mouthy, Buddy would do best in an adult-only home or with an experienced family with children over 10 years old who understand and respect canine boundaries. Buddy is a healthy, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations—ready to step right into his next chapter with a loving home. 🐾 Buddy is currently being fostered in the Los Angeles area, but transport can be arranged to any U.S. location. Interested in adopting Buddy? Please send an email to info@olliesangelsaws.org or call 702-769-4474.

Story
Reba is a 4-year-old spayed Border Collie who is friendly but appreciates a slow introduction. She was surrendered through no fault of her own—Reba was being picked on by the other two dogs in the home. Reba has lived only with those dogs and will need slow, thoughtful introductions to new canine friends. While she did chase the cat on the property, a cat-free home or careful management would be best. Reba was gentle and appropriate with her previous owner when introduced to older children. This sensitive girl would do best in a calm, structured home with someone who understands her breed and can help her build confidence. With patience and stability, Reba will likely blossom into a loyal and loving companion.

Story
Aussie/Shepherd mix female puppyPrincess Raya is a 10 week old Aussie / GSD mix. Mom was a known stray in a rural part of Fresno. Shortly after having pups a Good Samaritan tried bringing her to safety - unfortunately she got away one day and was hit and killed by a car…her pups abandoned at a young age.  Raya and her sisters came to rescue with a non-contagious skin infection but it’ll be a while before all her hair grows back.  She’s not feeling sorry for herself. She’s made tremendous progress and shows us daily how resilient dogs can be.   Raya is the leader of the Princess Pack. She is fiercely intelligent and has a wonderful, sweet demeanor. She’s toy motivated and loves to follow her human around. At only 10 weeks old, she’s packed with potential.   It’s been about a week since she arrived and her skin is healing rapidly. She’s on course to being able to set sail into a home within the next week or two, we presume. Big dog lovers, she will likely be 50-60lbs at maturity. Raya is microchipped, on a vaccine schedule, and can go home on a spay contract. Raya is in Arroyo Grande, CA. Story
Cattle Dog mix, maleWelcome Benito! Benito is a 2 year old, 34lb, cattle dog mix from Tulare.  Here is what we know so far: In just a little over 24 hours, this sweet boy has already shown us what a gem he is. He’s a certified wiggle butt who loves human affection without being overly pushy. He’s the perfect balance of cuddly and respectful. He’s dog-social and enjoys canine company, but we think he’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the love as someone’s one and only bestie. Like many sensitive herding types, he can feel a little unsure about new things at first like getting into the car, crossing thresholds, or walking down hallways, but once he knows he’s safe, he settles in beautifully. The best part? He’s food-motivated and eager to try, which makes helping him build confidence a fun and rewarding journey. He’s already showing wonderful house manners: no accidents inside, happily goes in and out of his crate, and relaxes calmly when resting. While he’s by no means fully trained yet, he has such a naturally easygoing, well-mannered disposition that we know he’s going to thrive with a family committed to continuing his training and helping him grow into the very best boy we know he can be. Benito is microchipped, neutered, and UTD on vaccines. Located in Visalia, CA More photos and updates:  https://www.facebook.com/www.cchdrescue.org/  search in posts and photo albums. Cattle Dog mix, femaleClaire is a 2 year old heeler mix with a cute little naturally bobbed tail.  Claire is great sport. Nice girl. Easy going. Totally nice with other dogs.  With so many dogs at the rescue right now, it's good to have a sensible adult dog join the pack! Claire was able to be off leash right away and took her cues from the resident dogs.  Claire is a bit of a heeler mix. Her head looks like border collie.
