Story
Max is a 13, purebred classic border collie from working lines. He's neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. Max has a bit of a hitch in the giddyup but he still has plenty of get up & go, eager to go for a walk or whatever you are doing. He has some issues with rain/wind/storms and tends to hide, otherwise he is head-on-your knee loving attention! Max gets along with other dogs, kids & cats, but he will need some TLC in his senior years.

Story
Mia is an 11-1/2 year old, purebred border collie. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and weighs in a bit heavy right now, but she's working on it. Mia settled right into her foster home as if she'd been there for years. She is housetrained & used the dog door immediately. She is good on the leash, comes when she is called and knows the basic commands. She will give a warning over her food bowl or chew bone, but so far nothing more. She gets along with other dogs, cats, kids, loves belly rubs and attention. Mia will be a great companion for an active senior.

Story
Border Collie mix, female puppyMeet SNICKERDOODLE!  Snickerdoodle is an adorable, super smart 5 mo/30lb female Border Collie puppy. Like most Border Collies, she’s a touch on the shy side until she gets used to you and with new experiences, but warms up and is a  friendly, happy, well-adjusted little girl. She loves to run and play, and when she’s excited she does the cutest little happy dance!    Snickerdoodle is fully crate-trained, and is learning house-training and walking on a leash at her foster home. She hasn’t been tested with cats, but is very dog friendly. She’s a goofy little dog who needs a herding dog experienced home without young children, someone with the time and energy to train and socialize a young puppy, and who is looking for a lifelong companion. She would do well in a home with or without other dogs.    More photos: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1139935870301399&type=3   If you are interested in Snickerdoodle, please fill out an application at: bit.ly/CCHDR_App    May 6, 2024, 5:58 pm

Story
Border Collie Cattle Dog mix, male 3 monthsFitzgerald! He's a baby- around 3 months old! He appears to be a Cattle dog and Border Collie mix. Abandoned and then stayed where he was left. Patiently waiting, paws crossed, sitting in a chair, for someone to come get him.  We did!  He is very mellow. He’s been vaccinated and chipped. He can go to a new home on a neuter contract, with a refundable deposit along with the adoption fee.  Fitz is in a foster home, playing hard every day with a one year old heeler. He's been just perfect! Foster Sara says he is the sweetest. Fitz has a bright future now! We'll keep it that way! Story
Flower is a two year old Australian shepherd/red heeler mix. She was originally from a ranch in Ojai California. She is so sweet and snuggly. Flower loves all people and animals. Flower could use a little leash training but other than that we think she's perfect. She's well suited for all living situations. She currently resides in a town home enjoying frequent walks, so if you're a city dweller She would do amazing. On the flipside Flower would also do well with a large yard or out in the country, and any animal friends she may encounter.
