Story
🐾 Loving, Highly Intelligent Dog – Freya 🐾 It’s not easy to write this, but I’m looking for the right home for Freya, my Border Collie/Springer Spaniel mix. She’s incredibly intelligent, energetic, and eager to learn, yet also calm, affectionate, and very people-oriented. Freya knows many commands (sit, stay, lay down, come, and more), responds to hand signals and snaps, and thrives on training and mental stimulation. She loves walks, running, puzzle toys, and relaxing near you—whether watching out the window or curling up at your feet. She’s gentle, not aggressive, and prefers people over dogs. She may playfully mouth but does not bite. She hasn’t been around young kids but seems playful and curious. I’m rehoming due to a divorce and apartment living—she deserves more space and time than I can give. Ideal home: active, space to run, minimal crating, and someone who will continue her training. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and a truly loyal companion. 1K word limit 😒

Story
Harper Lee arrived in February very timid and unsure. We have been updating you on her progress, and now she is ready for a forever home or temporary foster home.    Introducing Harper Lee! This beautiful girl is a Great Pyrenees/Maremma/Border Collie/McNab mix, just under 2 years old, and she’s searching for her forever home—or a loving foster in the meantime.   Harper is a total love bug once she gets to know you. She was deeply loved by her family, but sadly, her mom passed away, and her dad is no longer able to care for her. Because she spent much of her early life indoors with limited exposure to the outside world, Harper can be a bit shy at first. With a little patience and kindness, though, she blossoms into an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion.   She’s currently working with a professional trainer, and her future adopter will receive lifetime training support to help set everyone up for success. Harper has been making great progress—she’s been getting out to explore, meeting new people, and building confidence along the way. She enjoys leisurely strolls through vineyards, rides beautifully in the car, and loves tagging along for everyday adventures. While she’s still gaining confidence around off-leash dogs, she does very well passing other dogs calmly on leash.   Harper would thrive in a quieter, adult-only home where she can settle in at her own pace. A home with a bit of space and an owner who enjoys daily walks and gentle adventures would be ideal. She’s looking for a cat-free environment where she can feel safe, secure, and truly at home.   If you’re looking for a devoted, gentle companion and are willing to give her the time she needs to shine, Harper will reward you with a lifetime of love. Adoption fees include: For puppies:  First year's vaccines, including Bordetella, microchip, and deworming.                                                                                                                                                                          Adult dog:     Vaccinations are current, microchip, dewormed and spay/neuter.                                                                                                                                               If you have current pets, we offer a Foster to Adopt Program, in which you have a two week trial period to make sure the animals get along, it's a good fit, and your begining to bond.                         Countryside Animal Rescue is open Tuesday - Friday 11am to 3pm by appointment only.Appointments can be made by calling 707-542-5582 or emailing countrysiderescuesr@gmail.com.  Please ensure that you receive a confirmation of your appointment before arriving to ensure we are properly staffed for your visit.Drop-In (Without an appointment) Satruday from 11am to 3pm.  We are closed Sunday and Monday.                                                                                                                                                Please complete our online applicationat  : https://forms.gle/PGmGoo2ZoBEtU4D18   ##2712026##

Story
ENZOOOOOOOOO! WOOOHOOOOO! Let's Go!!! This boy has a zest for life! Before Lily's Legacy swooped him up, Enzo was found running with a pack of dogs in Stanislaus County. He was most likely hit by a car that dislocated his hip. Our good friends at Fairfax Vet did a stellar job getting it set back into place, but he is on activity restriction for a bit longer to really let it settle back into place. But once those restrictions are lifted, man, this boy will be ready for some fun! Balls, toys, jumping, climbing, hiking, fetch, obedience, you name it. Enzo is true to his breed and is one smart dog. So, no couch potatoes please, but if you are an active person looking for your ride or die, Enzo just might be your good boy.

Story
This sweet bonded pair ended up at the Kern County Shelter after their human passed away. They had been with her since they were young and were very well-loved family members. Sadly, they started shutting down at the shelter, but luckily a kind foster stepped up and cared for them for several months before having to go oversees to care for family. That’s when Harli & Bear made their journey to Lily’s, first spending time with a temporary foster and now with a long-term foster until they find their forever home (hopefully soon!). With all the changes in their life, understandably, Harli & Bear take some time to warm up to new people. Once they do, they spend most of their day lounging, wanting to be near their humans. Bear loves toys and won’t go anywhere without his stuffy. He is curious and a bit more reserved than Harli. But once settled, he sure loves his belly rubs! While she can be shy at first, Harli is a couch potato and a “go with the flow” kind of gal, just happy to be a part of the crowd. Both are learning confidence in their foster home, slowly learning to greet new people and open up. They both get along well with other dogs. In one of their foster homes, they had 5 resident doggy siblings and did well but would prefer a smaller pack at home with maybe one other dog so they can get all the attention they deserve. The pair have been working to befriend the resident cat, waiting and hoping at the top of the stairs that the cat will appear and want to play. While the resident cat isn’t quite as into his new friends, they are beginning to slowly win him over with time and persistence! Despite all they’ve been through, these two remain sweet and gentle dogs, looking for their new furever home to call their own. They have received rave reviews from their fosters on how easy and lovable they remain. Here’s what one of their fosters had to say: "These two are the most adorable bonded pair I have ever seen. Harli is sweet and shy. She is often afraid to go outside to greet my other dogs, so Bear will be by her side and he is her best bud and will always be with her. I have seen him give her kisses on the face to reassure her. They are an easy pair. They want mostly to be with their person and to have their bellies rubbed or their back scratched. They are not aggressive. They eat their food together peacefully and do not guard their food or toys. Wherever they go, their new guardian would be so incredibly lucky to have them. I have only fostered them for six days and already love them so much. They're an easy loving pair. Please consider adopting them. You will love them!"

Story
Meet Tanner! He was found in Healdsburg abandoned in a crate. This rough start to life has left him a little hesitant of the world. Despite this, he is learning and growing every day in foster care. He gets along very well with other dogs & would prefer a canine companion in his future home. He is currently in a foster home with cats & another dog and gets along well with them. He loves toys, any type of treat, zoomies, and taking long naps! He is a sweet boy that seeks affection from both of his foster parents. Tanner will need someone that is patient while he`s still learning & a more expierenced home.

Lindsey isn’t just beautiful, she’s also charming & super sweet. Lindsey has participated in our dog day out program & explored Steelhead & Sunset beach! She had a blast and did very well – no leash pulling and friendly when meeting new people. She loves belly rubs and will flop over to get plenty of them. She was described as a “sweet, atheltic love bug”. She was timid but friendly when meeting another dog. We are recommending she go into a home with children 12 years and older.

Story
UPDATE: Daisy has been in a foster home for the past 3 weeks. She is making huge strides and coming out of her shell. She is truely blossoming into and sweet, loving companion. She lives with 2 other dogs which helps give her the confidence she needs. She is not afraid of using the doggie door and even seeks affection, unlike before, she ran from affecdtion. We have discovered that Daisy could be deaf. That will be confirmed at her upcoming vet appointment.   Special Needs:  UPDATE: Daisy has made great strides.  She now goes on walks around the property, She hangs out with other dogs in our dog park. She is becoming much more comfortable around strangers. She is really blossoming. Give Daisy a chance at becoming an amazing addition to your family. Daisy needs someone with time and patience who wants to truely rescue a dog and help her blossom into an amazing companion. Daisy came to us very feral. She has improved but she is a project dog for someone who is willing to take the time and introduce her to the world and show her it is not such a scary place, She is making strides walking on a leash. She is very loving and sweet and has the ability to blossom if given the chance. Rescuing Daisy and helping her blossom will bring an overdose of joy and fullmillment into your life. Please complete our online applicationat  : https://forms.gle/PGmGoo2ZoBEtU4D18   ##2120745##
