Story
Zelda is the kind of dog who turns heads and steals hearts before you even know what happened. This striking white beauty is a Husky/Border Collie mix, a combination that brings together two of the dog world's most intelligent, spirited breeds, and she is every bit as captivating as she sounds. From the tip of her nose to the end of her fluffy tail, Zelda is pure white, like she stepped out of a snow globe and decided to stay. She's compact and graceful, with that bright-eyed alertness that Border Collies are known for and the playful, expressive energy of a Husky who has opinions and isn't afraid to share them. Zelda is smart, genuinely, impressively smart, which means she'll thrive in a home that keeps her mind busy. She picks up on things quickly and will shine with consistent training and plenty of engagement. She needs daily exercise and loves having a job to do, whether that's learning new commands, going on long walks, or figuring out a puzzle toy while her people cheer her on. She's looking for an active family that will match her energy and give her the structure and affection she deserves. If you've been waiting for a dog who is equal parts beautiful, brainy, and full of personality, your wait is over. Zelda is ready to be someone's whole world. Could that someone be you?

Story
Bronx was adopted from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley (HSSV) on April 23, 2023. He was 11 weeks old and weighed 9.20 lbs. and presumed to be a Border Collie Mix but staff was unsure what he was mixed with. Since his adoption he has completed the required Puppy Training course provided by HSSV while also receiving continued training by his family. Bronx is potty trained, knows the basic commands (sit, stay, leave it, etc..) but could benefit from more extensive and regular training and strong leadership from pack leader or family. Bronx loves to run, fetch and socialize with other dogs and people. He has been trained to be both on and off leash and responds to commands when off leash; but keep in mind he's still a puppy and sometimes gets distracted and may need commands repeated. Bronx also can get a little over excited when it comes to meeting other dogs and people and may jump on them or at them to greet them. This is something that will need continuous work to be corrected.

Story
Frida would do best in a home with low activity. She loves her adventures outside.. going on walks and hikes, but while in her home Frida would like it to be peaceful and low energy. She would do best with another dog in the home and no with no small children or small animals. Frida is a sweetheart, but she scares easily. A more mellow home with less traffic would help her feel safer. If you have any questions or if you would like to set up an appointment to meet Frida please call 707-459-4900.

Brody is a just-over-1-year-old, medium- sized male mixed breed who still very much acts like a puppy. Brody is a happy, playful guy with a big smile and an even bigger zest for life. He has an energetic, fun-loving personality and brings a joyful, goofy spirit to everything he does. Brody is affectionate and eager to connect, often bouncing into your day with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. He’s the kind of dog who keeps you laughing and on your toes in the best way. Brody enjoys playtime, exploring, and being active, and he’ll thrive with regular exercise and engagement. Like many young dogs, he’s still learning how to channel his energy in positive ways. He is friendly and social, and will benefit from continued positive interactions with people and other dogs to help build his confidence and manners. Brody is still learning his puppy basics, including impulse control and training, and will do best with consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement. He would thrive in an active home ready for a young, playful dog and committed to continuing his training and development. If you’re looking for a fun, energetic companion to grow with, come meet Brody and see if he’s your perfect match.

Not good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Aspen Sometimes, one moment is all it takes to save a life. Aspen, a beautiful adult Heeler mix (possibly with a touch of Rottie), was just hours away from being euthanized at the shelter. Overlooked and out of time, her story was about to end, until a volunteer saw her. There was something in Aspen’s eyes, a quiet, soulful look that said she wasn’t ready to give up. And because someone chose to see her, Aspen is here today. Now safe, Aspen is beginning to decompress and learn what it means to be given a second chance. She is very friendly, greeting people with warmth and an open heart. Underneath that friendly nature is a deeply loyal, sensitive dog who forms strong bonds with the people in her life. Once she connects with you, you’ll see her true heart, gentle, devoted, and incredibly attached. Aspen is smart and observant, always watching and learning. She has that classic working-dog intelligence paired with a steady, grounding presence. She wants to understand her person, to bond, to belong. There’s something really special about Aspen. She isn’t just another dog, she’s a survivor, a second-chance soul who is ready to give her whole heart to someone who will love her in return. She didn’t ask for her past, but she’s holding onto hope for her future. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, a friendly shadow, and a dog whose love runs deep, Aspen is waiting to meet you.
