Story
Meet Chloe! Chloe is a senior girl with a whole lot of heart and a very classic “old lady” vibe. She can be incredibly sweet and friendly, especially with people she trusts, and she still enjoys attention and gentle affection. That said, Chloe is a senior, and she has her moments—she likes things on her terms, appreciates her space, and isn’t afraid to let you know when she’s had enough. She’s not looking for chaos or constant activity; she’d much prefer a calm, predictable home where she can relax and be appreciated for who she is. Chloe would do best with someone who understands seniors and respects boundaries—someone who sees the beauty in a dog who’s lived a full life and just wants peace, comfort, and a little love.

Story
This handsome boy is 3-year-old Moby and he's waiting for you at Satchel's! Moby can be a little shy of strangers but warms up quickly. He enjoys his walks with volunteers, followed by a nice cool down in the kiddie pool while he waits at the gate for his turn to return to his kennel. Moby is full of energy and is currently working with a trainer to learn basic understanding of what is acceptable behavior. Note from a volunteer: "Moby is a darling and very smart. He’s a “back scratch” grass loving boy who prefers water over land any day. He should’ve been a fish 🐠." For an appointment to meet Moby, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found at satchelslastresort.org.

Story
🚨Border Collie/Herding Dog Experienced Foster or Foster to Adopt Needed. 🔹Pets Name: Penelope 🔹Age/DOB: 2 years old 🔹Gender: Female 🔹Spayed: Yes 🔹Weight: 50lbs 🔹Breed / Breeds: Border Collie Penelope is a very smart sweet border with typical herding tendencies. She has been on sheep and done very well. She is house broken leash trained. Does not like a crate but will go in , Needs work with crate training. Penny is a dog that needs someone who can set boundaries in a positive firm consistent manner. Typical of herders, she will try to control if she senses you are not in charge. She knows commands, she is motion activated as are most herders. We are working with that and she can be reactive with other dogs, thus the need for a dog savvy handler. She would do best in a home with one other dog or no other dogs for those less experienced. Fenced yard is a must, as is a knowledgeable border collie person . She would do well where she could work stock. She will be in the port charlotte area. 📩 Apply to foster or foster to adopt at the link below! ewenityfarmsbch.com

Story
Ella is a sweet playful mini Aussie possibly Border Collie mix, approximately 2 years old pulled from a shelter recently. She is very playful and happy out of her kennel and loves to play with toys. She does have an off switch and after some play time, will relax near you with a chew toy go lay in her crate. Being a young girl, she will need daily exercise. A fenced yard to throw a toy for her to retrieve would be ideal. She is a little nippy/grabby - typical of herding breeds -when she wants to play and she will grab at toys in your hands. We're working on this but I would not recommend her for young children. She should be fine with older (12+) children used to being around dogs. She doesn't bite, just tries to encourage you to play. She seems to be dog neutral as long as a dog in her face - then she will just give a little warning. She would benefit being part of an active home. She is 27lbs of playful energy, and has now been spayed and received all her vaccinations. She is being fostered in the Orlando area. *****Ella is heartworm positive and the rescue will be treating her. She will not be done with treatment for a couple of months.
