Story
Hi, friends! My name is Dolce because I’m just so sweet. I am a 2-year old Border Collie Mix who currently weighs 45 pounds, but I am looking to gain some weight. If you’re looking for a kind, well-mannered pup, then I’m the girl for you! Did I mention I would love to tag along to any Starbucks dates? I adore car rides, but adore the pup cups that come along with them even more!  My foster family says that I am so impressive. I know “sit,” “shake,” “down,” “come here,” and “treat.” I cannot wait to learn more as I grow! I am fully house trained and have never had an accident at my foster house. I walk very well on a leash with some occasional pulling. My favorite activity is to play ball in the backyard. I don’t really know what toys are yet, but I am exploring. I have also never been destructive in my foster home so they let me roam throughout the day.  My foster family has taken me on many adventures including the farmer’s market, Home Depot, Starbucks, Gene’s Ice Cream, ISU’s campus, and Salty Dawg. I am really enjoying learning to be a social butterfly. While I'm super friendly, something in my past has caused me to be a little timid. I am skittish in hallways and there are times that I flinch or cower. I have never shown any signs of aggression, but can get scared at times. I am having so much fun experiencing a loving environment and cannot wait to find more love and continue to blossom in my forever home. I have lots to give! If you think Dolce might be a good fit for you, apply today! Her minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Stockings is a herding dog that needs a family that understands the herding breed. Stockings has progressed nicely in training since being at TAPS but he still needs a family that is committed to the breed and on-going mental and physical stimulation. Stockings walks well on a leash and pleasantly approaches people. He recently went to an off-site event. He did try to jump up on a few people but took re-direction well and enjoyed everyone he met. Stockings may need continued work on potty training but with a set routine, we are optimistic he will pick up good potty habits quickly given his breed.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Jeanette is sweet-faced, three-month-old Australian Shepherd mix who currently weighs 13 pounds. She is deaf, so you need to be in front of her to get her attention. Although sweet Jeanette passed the vision test, she exhibited occasional slow reactions to the light. This could indicate potential vision issues at some point during her life. Jeanette is doing great with her potty training. Her foster mom leaves her loose in the kitchen with potty pads when she's not home and she's also good about using them when she can't get her fosters' attention to go outside.  She loves sleeping in bed with her foster parents, which is also helping with potty training.  Jeanette hates her crate and is very vocal if she's put in it, so a home without shared walls is best. Jeanette loves to play with toys and dogs.  She enjoys running around the yard and is learning the "sit" command.  Jeanette is making great progress with her leash training too.  She loves wrestling and playing rough with the "big dogs" in her foster home.  Jeanette is friendly, loving, adaptable, outgoing, confident, and happy. She is good with dogs, cats, and children. And like most puppies, Jeanette is curious and enjoys exploring her environment. Jeanette's foster mom thinks she'll do well in any environment. A fenced yard and a canine companion would be ideal, although not a requirement. Potential adopters should know that Jeanette doesn't do well in the car and likely won't make a very good travel companion - she drools a lot and sometimes gets sick. If you have room in your heart and home for this cutie, apply today!  Jeanette's minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.  She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This good looking fella is Curly; he's a 4.5-month old Cattle Dog/Pit Bull mix. He currently weighs about 20 pounds and will likely be a large dog when full grown.  Curly is your typical playful puppy, although he's a little bit shy. He loves spending time playing in the yard, which is where he warms up the fastest with new people. His foster parents think he'll do well in most environments, including families with children. Curly is a special guy who gets along with every person and dog. Although he loves to cuddle, he'll play with the other dogs until you sit down, then he wants to be with you. He's the happiest little guy and will smile when you talk to him.  Like most puppies, Curly is working on house-training. He knows the commands "sit" and "kennel," and he's quiet in the kennel. Curly sleeps with his foster parents in bed, where he likes to snuggle near their faces.  If you're looking for a travel buddy, Moe probably isn't the right fit.  This poor boy gets car sick.  But if you're looking for a mellow cuddle buddy, he's your guy! Curly's foster parents mentions that he loves treats, and he's learning to wait and take them gently. "He's all around one of the best puppies we've fostered."  He's so chill! He'd be a great puppy for a first time puppy owner. If you'd like to add this sweet boy to your family, apply today!  His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Moe is the sweetest 4.5-month old Cattle Dog/Pit Bull mix. He currently weighs about 26 pounds and will likely be a large dog when he's full grown.  This handsome hunk of love gives the best cuddles and kisses. Moe is a very chill boy, and he's much more playful after coming out of his shell. Running around the backyard and chasing balls are his favorite activities. He returns the balls to his foster mom 75% of the time.  Moe gets along with cats and is respectful of their space. Although Moe ignores the cat most of the time, he occasionally wants to play, but stops when the cat has had enough. His favorite place is with his human, curled up (as close as possible) while watching TV. Moe's foster mom believes he would do well with any family, although he hasn't been around children while in the foster home. He does great in his crate and is making progress with housetraining.
