He loves being outside, stretching his legs, and discovering the world around him. His adventurous nature would make him the perfect companion for someone who enjoys hiking, walks, road trips, or any activity that gets them out and about. At the end of the day, Fuego's greatest gift is his zest for life. His happiness is contagious, and he has a way of making every adventure a little more fun. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick with a big smile, an adventurous spirit, and eyes that shine as brightly as his personality, Fuego is ready to light up your life.

Story
Tilly is mesmerizing with her icy blue eyes. This beautiful girl is 2 years old and 50 pounds. She is very smart. She would be great learning one of the many dog sports. She will make someone a great companion and she consistently "checks in" with her foster mom to see if anything is expected of her.  Tilly would thrive with an adopter who is "hands on". She is 1/3 border collie but also has small amounts of siberian husky/saint bernard/boxer/labrador retriever per her DNA results. A quiet home without small children would be ideal for her. Tilly is dog selective and it is unknown how she is with cats. She is crate and potty trained. Tilly is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is only $300.00. Please apply at gfrpets.org/apply/adoptdog/ ##1880121##

Story
Meet Miss Marilyn (sometimes Marilyn Monroe)! This spunky yet shy girl had a rough start, but she has overcame so much in the time she’s been with me. She’s great with cats, dogs, and kids. Her favorite things to do is play fetch, stare the squirrels down, cuddle when she’s sleepy, help with household chores, and play with fellow pups. It sometimes takes her a minute to warm up, but you’re her best friend once she does. Marilyn is hoping to find a family with a big yard she can run around in and gives her patience to adjust. She’s very smart and has great recall. She would be a great addition to any family!

Story
Penelope here! I am a pretty lady! I wish I could talk to tell you more about my past. However, it will stay unknown. I was found as stray. They believe I am around 6 years old. I was most definitely in a home before I wandered off. I am a little chunk but I am working on my diet!! I would be best in a home that doesn't have small animals. I love to chase small critters. I have been in a foster home before! I am okay with other dogs and kids! If you think I am a good fit please put an application!

These pups are in Normal, Illinois too!

Story
Meet Bingo – A Little Heeler with a Big Personality Bingo is a 2-month-old Heeler mix who weighs 5 pounds and is already showing off plenty of classic Heeler personality. She is a playful, energetic puppy who loves to be involved in whatever is happening around her. Like any young puppy, Bingo is still learning the basics and will need continued guidance with house training, manners, and settling down. She also has some typical Heeler herding instincts and can be fairly nippy during play. Her nipping is playful, but she'll need a family who understands the breed and is willing to help her learn appropriate ways to interact. Because of her puppy energy and herding tendencies, Bingo would do best with older children who can handle her playful antics rather than babies or toddlers. Bingo is looking for a family ready for the fun, training, and occasional chaos that comes with raising a puppy. With patience, consistency, and plenty of love, this little girl has all the makings of a wonderful lifelong companion. Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Osiris may take a little time to warm up, but once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll discover a goofy, loyal best friend with a heart that’s absolutely worth the wait. This 5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix (61 lbs) is house-trained, quietly intelligent, and full of personality once he feels safe. At first, he takes his time getting to know new people, but he’s already shown what’s possible when someone invests in him. The staff at Wish Bone took that time, and now they get to see the real Osiris—goofy, playful, and affectionate. He’s a classic “watch first, trust later” kind of guy. In a home environment, you’ll often find him lounging on the couch, keeping tabs on the outside world like it’s his favorite reality show. But when he’s comfortable? Cue the zoomies. His silly side comes alive, especially enjoying his favorite toys. Osiris enjoys walks, car rides, and a good chew session, and he generally walks nicely on leash…unless a critter makes a guest appearance. Then his herding instincts kick in and it’s game on. He can also be a bit mouthy in play, and needs an adopter willing to work with him on manners. Because he startles easily and is still building confidence, Osiris is looking for an adult-only home with someone experienced in herding breeds. He’ll do best in a quieter home with few visitors, or one where he has a safe, comfortable space to retreat to when company comes over. He thrives on routine, patience, and people who respect his space. With patience, understanding, and a little time, Osiris blossoms into an incredibly devoted companion. The people who know him best have already seen how much love, personality, and potential he has to give, and the right home is going to be rewarded with one very special dog. His minimum adoption fee is $250, plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents (if applicable). He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
