Story
Have you happened to see my associate Mr. Holmes? I seem to have misplaced him again, he's always running off to solve crimes. Hello fellow crime stoppers, my name is Watson! I am a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd Mix. I am a very smart young man. I may not be a physician, like my namesake, but I can learn all of the best tricks with you at my side. I enjoy stretching my legs after being cooped up in the office all day. If you have a fenced in yard I will be your best friend! Would you like to solve crimes together? Apply now! Adoption fee is $245. Available now. All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heart-worm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Due to the construction of our state of the art facility, none of our pets are on site, they are all located in foster homes at this time. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile. After we review your completed survey we will contact you by phone or email within 72 hours or less. We're primarily a volunteer organization, so we appreciate your patience. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sundays and Mondays and will not be processing any applications on those days. Do get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey: A PCH adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH cannot guarantee any pets availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). Counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents via a meeting app). We do require that adopters discuss all questions before pickup via phone or email in order to minimize direct contact with our staff/volunteers at the time of adoption. After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system* *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and leash to pick up. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This good looking fella is Curly; he's a 4.5-month old Cattle Dog/Pit Bull mix. He currently weighs about 20 pounds and will likely be a large dog when full grown.  Curly is your typical playful puppy, although he's a little bit shy. He loves spending time playing in the yard, which is where he warms up the fastest with new people. His foster parents think he'll do well in most environments, including families with children. Curly is a special guy who gets along with every person and dog. Although he loves to cuddle, he'll play with the other dogs until you sit down, then he wants to be with you. He's the happiest little guy and will smile when you talk to him.  Like most puppies, Curly is working on house-training. He knows the commands "sit" and "kennel," and he's quiet in the kennel. Curly sleeps with his foster parents in bed, where he likes to snuggle near their faces.  If you're looking for a travel buddy, Moe probably isn't the right fit.  This poor boy gets car sick.  But if you're looking for a mellow cuddle buddy, he's your guy! Curly's foster parents mentions that he loves treats, and he's learning to wait and take them gently. "He's all around one of the best puppies we've fostered."  He's so chill! He'd be a great puppy for a first time puppy owner. If you'd like to add this sweet boy to your family, apply today!  His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Moe is the sweetest 4.5-month old Cattle Dog/Pit Bull mix. He currently weighs about 26 pounds and will likely be a large dog when he's full grown.  This handsome hunk of love gives the best cuddles and kisses. Moe is a very chill boy, and he's much more playful after coming out of his shell. His favorite activities include running around the backyard, chasing balls, and playing with tug ropes. He returns the balls to his foster mom 75% of the time. His night time routine includes chewing on bones and getting some late night snuggles. Moe gets along with cats and is respectful of their space. Although Moe ignores the cat most of the time, he occasionally wants to play, but stops when the cat has had enough. His favorite place is with his human, curled up (as close as possible) while watching TV. He also likes to play and be around other dogs.  Moe's foster mom believes he would do well with any family, although he hasn't been around children while in the foster home. He does great in his crate and is almost completely house trained. Moe has not met a stranger and is quite the social butterfly. He cannot wait to meet you!
