Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! Meet Erling, an  Australian Shepherd mix pup with an estimated DOB of 4/8/26. He currently weighs about 20 pounds. This sweet little guy has already overcome more than any puppy should. While we don’t know what happened before he came into our care, his battered ears and patch of missing hair tell a story. Thankfully, as his foster mom says, “Whatever trauma he faced before does not seem to have impacted his love and trust of others.” Erling is a super smart, food-motivated boy who is eager to learn and is already making great progress with both house training and crate training. He loves toys, sturdy chew toys, car rides, and exploring the world around him. But perhaps Erling’s greatest quality is his love for everyone he meets. He absolutely adores people and dogs of all ages and sizes—big or small, young or old. He’s friendly, outgoing, playful, and incredibly social. With his happy personality and eagerness to learn, we think Erling would make an amazing family dog. Like any puppy, Erling will need a family committed to helping him learn and grow into the wonderful adult dog he’s meant to be. With patience, consistency, treats, and plenty of love, we have no doubt this resilient little guy has an incredible future ahead of him. All Erling needs now is a family to show him just how wonderful life can be. His minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
