Azul is 3yrs 10 months he was given to us as a puppy by a family friend who rescued him from an abusive living situation. He is super loving but is not compatible with our living situation and needs to go to a person who can keep up with his high energy as he loves to escape when possible he is tolerated by other animals but can be seen as bothersome to other dogs sometimes. He is potty trained and nuetered.

Meet Gus! Gus is a fun-loving, one-year-old boy who is believed to be a Border Collie mix. He was surrendered to our shelter, and we honestly can’t understand why. He’s such a wonderful dog with so much love to give! Gus is incredibly sweet, friendly, and full of personality. He loves being around people, gets along well with other dogs and children, and responds well to gentle correction. He’s eager to please and would make a wonderful companion for a lucky family. Gus is fully vetted, heartworm negative, and ready to find a home where he’ll be loved and cherished. This sweet boy has his whole life ahead of him and so much happiness to share. All he needs is someone willing to give him a chance. Gus is ready to change someone’s world forever. Could that someone be you? Gus is currently at the Tunica Humane Society shelter in MS. He is eligible to travel North on transport to Michigan for an approved application for adoption, foster, or foster-to-adopt.

Meet Million! Million is currently enrolled in a 10 week training program through Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan where he can learn up to 100 commands. He will be ready to go home 12/18.  Million is a one-of-a-kind 2-year-old terrier mix who is ready to find his forever home! At about 35 pounds, he has the coloring of a Border Collie, wiry terrier hair, and the cutest upright ears that make him completely unique.  Million has been wonderful with dogs his size and larger and has been great meeting new people. He has briefly met cats and sniffed them and walked away so we believe he will be okay with cats but may need additional meet and greets if a family with cats is interested. He walks nicely on a leash and is an affectionate, fun-loving guy who would make a wonderful companion for the right family. Million does have a few special needs that his future family will need to understand: He resource guards food, so he will need to be fed separately from other pets and his bowl should be picked up promptly after meals.He is mostly housebroken but may mark when introduced to a new environment. A belly band may be helpful during his transition.Million is not a fan of being crated, although we are actively working on his crate anxiety.Because of his crate anxiety, an apartment or home with shared walls would not be a suitable environment for him.Million needs a secure fenced yard or a family committed to keeping him safely on leash. He is a wanderer and may take off if given the opportunity.
