Story
This is Claire! She is a Border Collie Whippet. She will be 5 in May. She is very loyal and loves to cuddle. She is super energetic and loves to play. She is house broken and doesn't chew on things unless they are her toys. She knows basic commands. She has amazing hearing and will let you know if anyone is at the door. She is an only child but can play with other dogs. She can be an aggressive player and does struggle with confidence issues meeting new people and being in public spaces. We is great home alone in a cage or out. We have had her for a year. Claire was my sisters dog, but she went to college and we have been looking after her for a year. We are moving across the country in a school bus and our work schedules are drastically changing. We feel she isn’t the best match with our lifestyle but want to find the right home for her. Feel free to reach out! -Isabel

They say the Border Collie in me is very smart, and they are right. I love to walk around, but the best thing is sitting with you in the park, I`ll even get in your lap, and we can hug forever. I need someone to give me the love and attention I crave.

Story
Chase Male 3-5 years old 30 pounds Chase is a fun loving, affectionate, well behaved young man that was found as a stray. He and his brother, Cash, were found running loose in a park. After a thorough search to find their family was done, it was determined that they were most likely dumped at the park. We suspect they were out there for a while as they were very skinny when found. Considering what well behaved, sweet dogs they are, it is hard to imagine anyone doing this to them. Chase loves to play fetch and then take a nap. He can be entertained with a bone for hours. He does not hesitate to jump in the car for a ride. He is socialized and loves hugs. Chase is a very sweet boy that would make a great companion. He loves to cuddle up at night and is a good sleeper. Chase does well with the resident dog in his foster home. Chase will need a safe, secure fenced in yard. Chase is a courtesy listing and does not belong to Me and My Shadow Dog Rescue. You can reach his foster mom at 972-342-3358 or mammerlin@yahoo.com for additional info or to set up a meet and greet.

Story
SMOKEY came into our rescue after a near death experience on one of the reservations we work with. He is shy with humans, but was being taken care of by a young girl and her family. Once he knows his humans he is playful and affectionate. Thanks to his family asking for help and our ability to step in with emergency veterinary care and rehab, he is alive, happy and healthy today :-) We estimate he's 2 years old. His adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines, deworming and microchip. He is housetrained and crate trained. You must live in our adoption area (Abq, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, Los Alamos). We look forward to completing your family with a new fur baby! :-)April 21, 2024, 12:06 am
