My mom was found as a pregnant stray, so I have been in a loving foster home since birth and have been well socialized. I am great with other animals and kids. PACA is a Foster-Based Rescue with no shelter. We have adoption clinic on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 11a-2pm at 6300 San Mateo (along the grass next to Academy Rd) in the southern end of the Spouts Market parking lot volunteer staffing/weather permitting. Watch out - Toby's effervescence and joy of life is contagious! You may find yourself smiling more once Toby enters your life. Toby enjoys going for walks, playing a little fetch - although that could use some work, laying in the sun and chewing on a bone. Toby has made friends with and enjoys his foster dog sisters. Toby is house trained, knows how to walk on a leash and is learning sit and come. He is about 50 lbs. fully grown and a year old. Toby is mixed breed of predominantly hound and herding breeds. Toby would do well in a home that is semi-active and perhaps a female dog for Toby to play with. Toby came to PACA from Las Vegas NM shelter after being there for months. He has shown resilience and curiosity about his new environment and progresses quickly with adjustments. PACA is a Foster-Based Rescue with no physical location. Rondo is a 2 year old 60 lbs dog. He got to visit a local high school, and this is what the students had to say: He is a very calm dog; he is friendly with teens and adults. He’s not barky, and very nice. He can be shy, yet loves a good head massage. Once he is shown some love, he is attached. He loves to lean against people, we think he’d be a very loyal dog! Rondo is good on leash and would enjoy long romantic walks on the beach.When visiting our school, Rondo did not have an accident the whole time he was here. When he was taken out of his kennel at the shelter, he pottied right away- which may indicate that he has the skills to be house trained quickly. He didn’t seem to know sit, but he does take treats gently and seems willing to learn! He’s a little chunky, cute, and well behaved. We’re not sure how he is around other animals but seemed friendly when meeting other dogs through the fence. As always, we suggest a meet and greet for any dog siblings he may be gaining.
