Story
This beautiful boy is the quintessential old-fashioned dog. Petey is good natured, obedient trustworthy, affectionate and loyal. He loves to be active and also enjoys quiet time with close cuddling. He is good with other friendly dogs. He is E collar trained and will also go in a crate. Ideally, he likes to have ready access to the outdoors. His enthusiasm can be quite exuberant which settles dramatically with attention. As he is about 80 pounds, it may be better for him to be in a family with school age children. He is not destructive. His preference is to sleep in bed with his people, but is also happy anywhere. Petey is playful and trainable. I can’t speak enough of Petey and how adaptable he has been. The first year of his life was neglect, tied up outside in rural North Carolina. Despite this, his good nature has persevered. He’s not tested around cats but his obedience would leave one alone. If Petey is not a good fit, he must be returned to me.

Story
Gracie is a 10-year-old, pretty Blue Heeler/Australian cattle dog mix. She is housebroken and friendly, and likes to play with other dogs. She is up to date on shots and has current vet records. Her owners have developed medical disabilities that prevent them from being able to keep her. She sleeps through the night and loves to romp in the fenced yard. An experienced adopter is preferred, as she needs some basic guidance/training with commands, but she's a smart girl and a good listener. Applicants must be within driving distance of central North Carolina.
