Story
Hi, my name is Claire and I am a senior Border Collie. I used to live on a farm with other dogs and animals but my owner passed away. I am now in foster care with S.A.F.E. Animal Haven. I met my BFF here at my foster home and would really like a forever home for the 2 of us! My BFF is Pointer and he is on this website too! I am housebroken, leash trained and generally a good girl. I like to do my own thing and I enjoy playing with Pointer. If you have room for 2, please consider giving Pointer and myself a forever home. You can find an application at safeanimalhaven.org. Pointer is the little one in the picture with me - he has spots.November 5, 2024, 12:12 am

Story
Looking for a dog who's just as excited about a Saturday morning hike as she is about relaxing at your feet afterward? Meet JoJo!This girl pup is an 8-month-old Border Collie mix with striking black-and-white markings and an even more beautiful personality. At 29 pounds, she's expected to grow to around 40 pounds—a wonderful medium size that's ready to jump into the car whenever adventure calls. Her story started with hope when she and her identical sister were adopted as young puppies. Sadly, their family realized they simply didn't have enough time to meet the girls' needs, so JoJo is getting a second chance to find a home where she can truly thrive. She  is a wonderful blend of playful and easygoing. She loves kids, enjoys other dogs, and is always up for exploring somewhere new. She hasn't been introduced to cats yet, and while she and her sister have had a little too much fun chasing chickens together, we suspect that without her partner-in-crime, she may be much more interested in staying close to her people than stirring up barnyard trouble! As a Border Collie mix, JoJo is smart, athletic, and happiest when life includes activity. Daily walks, games in a fenced yard, hiking, camping, trips to the park, or learning new skills will help her shine. She'd likely have a blast trying agility, flyball, or dock diving alongside her future family. What this girl wants most isn't perfection. She wants someone who sees her as part of the family—a dog who gets to tag along on errands, explore new places, celebrate life's little moments, and always have a place to call home.If you've been thinking your life could use a little more laughter, a walking buddy, a travel companion, and a loyal best friend, JoJo might be exactly who you've been waiting for.   To learn more or request an adoption application, email ccrtennessee@gmail.comand be sure to include your city and state. Story
Meet Fern! Some dogs are simply waiting for a family. Fern is waiting for her people—the ones she'll happily follow through every adventure life has to offer.Fern is an 8-month-old Border Collie mix, born around the middle of November 2025, and currently weighs 29 pounds. She'll likely mature to around 40 pounds—the perfect size for hiking trails, road trips, neighborhood walks, and curling up at your feet after a day well spent.Fern and her identical sister were adopted together as tiny 6-week-old puppies. Unfortunately, their family realized they couldn't give the girls the time, attention, and exercise they deserve. Now Fern is searching for the forever home she's always deserved. This beautiful black-and-white girl has a sweet, easygoing personality and is happiest when she's included in whatever her people are doing. She loves children, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is always ready for a new adventure. She hasn't met cats yet, though she and her sister have been known to chase chickens—something that may disappear once she's no longer teaming up with her mischievous sibling!Like many Border Collie mixes, Fern is happiest when both her body and her mind are engaged. She'll thrive with daily walks, backyard games, hiking adventures, or even dog sports like agility, flyball, or dock diving. She doesn't need a perfect life—just one where she's loved, included, and given opportunities to learn and explore.Imagine having a loyal companion who's waiting by the door when it's time for a walk, riding shotgun on weekend adventures, making your kids laugh in the backyard, and greeting you with a wagging tail after every workday. That's the life Fern is hoping for—and the life she's ready to give back with endless love and devotion. If you're looking for a best friend to share life's adventures, Fern may be the missing piece you've been searching for.To learn more or request an adoption application, email ccrtennessee@gmail.com and be sure to include your city and state. Story
Rolo is a very obedient and well trained dog. He loves most all people (except he's scared of the delivery men and runs away after he barks a couple times to let you know they are coming.) and loves being loved by people. Rolo is content spending lots of time indoors and does not pee or poop in the house even when he is inside for long periods of time. We usually keep Rolo outside most of the day as he seems to enjoy that as well. Rolo loves sleeping in his crate and likes spending time in the crate as well. Rolo is a young 13 years old and still enjoys being somewhat active with light running around and taking walks. We feel he has several more good somewhat active years left in him. We are needing to rehome Rolo as we do lots of traveling for long periods of time and Rolo gets anxious and does not like it when we are gone for many days on end and it has become unfair to him. He would love a home where he gets lots of attention.

These pups are in Monroe, North Carolina too!

Story
Motley is a 6-year-old blue heeler looking for a new home. He is currently living with me after his owners moved into an RV and had concerns about his behavior on the road. While Motley can be cautious around new people, he warms up with time and patience. He has a good history with cats and gets along well with my three dogs—two Belgian Malinois husky mixes and an Australian shepherd. He is a bit of a fun police and gets overstimulated when there’s rough play, so a home without so many dogs would probably do this fella some good. He enjoys bones more than toys but is currently on a diet and exercise plan to manage his weight. I know that he will thrive in active household where someone is present most of the time to provide guidance, as his breed can become bored and potentially troublesome. I am seeking a home that understands his needs and can ensure he receives the attention and care he requires.
