Please note****  We are a volunteer organization.  Adoption events are held every Saturday 10-2 at our facility located st 2049 Badin Rd.  Most of our animals are in foster homes.  Please contact the foster if you would like to meet one of our rescues.   You may complete an application for approval to start the adoption process at www.stanlycountyhumanesociety.org, under the 'Adoption' tab. River has lived the last 4 years in a loving home after being rescued as a two month old puppy. River is a sweet and active dog who loves people. He is smart and trained to perform basic commands and walks well when guided on a leash as long as he does not see another dog. River would be happy with daily walks or exercising in a fenced back yard. He enjoys living with his equal sized male Lab housemate but is unable to get along with two small dogs living in his current home. He has food allergies so he takes allergy medication.
