Bugsy is an adorable 14 week old (as of 7/20/26) male baby who currently weighs in at approximately 13 pounds. We believe he will be around 30-35 pounds fully grown. Now the million dollar question - what on earth is he mixed with????!!! Honestly, we cannot say for sure, but current opinion is some sort of herdy farm dog, like a border collie, had a rendezvous` with possibly a whippet and then added a small dash of terrier - perhaps a Feist? It works for us - but if someone wants to do an Embark test on him, we are ALL IN! Bugsy is a sweetheart no matter what his genetics are! He came to us from the SPCA in Martinsville VA. When he came to them as a very young, very small boy, he was suffering from malnutrition and rickets. With their tender care, he recovered completely and is now the picture of health! This kid is social, happy, and just a darling. He loves his toys, his bed, and his people. He is brilliant and eager to learn - all he needs is the right family to help him along his journey. We think he would be fine with a canine companion, could absolutely learn to live in harmony with a dog savvy cat, and would be fine with respectful children. Like any puppy, Bugsy will need a family dedicated to making sure he grows to be an outstanding adult. Puppy classes, socialization, training at home - all part of the puppy process. Is it a lot of work? YES! Is it totally worth it? ONE HUNDRED TIMES YES! We want to see Bugsy paired up with someone who wants to do all the things with him. Take him out and about to see the world, train him and give him rules to help him feel secure and safe, plenty of attention to make him feel at home and loved. Bugsy will be ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks, once his quarantine is complete and he is neutered. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi I am a very smart 56 pound collie mix looking for my forever family.A kind lady took me in because my previous owner could not care for me any more.Unfortunately she can't keep me because I scare her cats.I have to chase them every time I see them(I am told I have something called a high prey drive,don't get me started on squirrels.)As you can see in my video I am very smart learning new things very quickly.I get so excited and proud of myself when I learn something new and hear those words 'good boy' My favorite thing is to be with my people and make them happy.I also love rolling in the grass,chasing things and playing with other pups,and eating string cheese.I have always lived with another dog so would do best in a family that already has a pup that I can be friends with.I am crate trained and good on a leash.I have started a 10 lesson training session to make me even better on leash,more comfortable with my nails being done and a couple of other manner things to help me be even better then I already am.If a family adopts me before they are over guess what,that family gets the rest of the training sessions with me!Isnt that awesome?Are you looking for a second fur baby in your home to shower you with love and fun?Here I am! Daisy is a loving 7 month old puppy. She will greet you with belly rubs and hugs. We are looking to rehome her due to behavioral issues of food aggression. She tends to counter and table surf and if we correct her with food she has taken she becomes aggressive and bites at our hands and arms. She has never showed this aggression to the toddler and seems to understand being gentle with the toddler. She is still working on house training but will often cue when she needs to go potty. Unfortunately our work schedules and having a toddler in the home do not allow us the time she needs to work on behavioral and potty training. She would benefit from a family with a fenced yard for running and one who has time to dedicate to training. She is highly intelligent and has picked up on commands and a few tricks we have worked on with her. She is kennel trained and will come with a plethora of toys and a kennel.

Meet Buddy! Its amazing what we can learn from foster homes. Once dogs leave the shelter environment and settle into a home, their true personalities often begin to shine. Thats exactly whats happened with Buddy. Very smart and highly trainable Active and energetic Loves being outside Enjoys snuggling on the couch with his people Knows several basic commands and is learning more every day Walks well on a leash and continues to work on his manners Understands no and responds well to clear boundaries Loves having a job, especially keeping watch over squirrels and birds in the yard Loyal and protective of his person Buddy is thriving with structure, consistency, and a confident handler. He would do best with an experienced dog owner who can provide calm leadership and help him continue building on all the progress hes made. While he can be a little stubborn and feisty at times, his foster says its very manageable and simply part of his personality. His foster also believes he may be some type of Border Collie mix rather than a Chihuahua mix, and honestly, we can definitely see the intelligence and drive! We are so grateful to Buddys foster family for helping us learn more about him and showing us just how much potential this special little guy has.
