Story
Magnolia SoxingtonFemaleAge: 1.5 yearsWeight: 50 lbs  Breed: Border Collie/Shepherd Mix Hi, I’m Magnolia Soxington — but my friends call me Maggie Socks or just Mags. I’m a big, sweet goofball with a capital GOOF. I love making friends, soaking up affection, and bringing a little joy and silliness wherever I go. I’m a smart girl, super loving, and every now and then my sassy side likes to make an appearance. I’m still growing into these big paws of mine, so I can be a little floppy and clumsy at times — I may trip over myself now and then, but that just adds to my charm. I get along well with other dogs and kids too! I’m both house trained and crate trained. On leash, I’m very gentle and easy to walk — I don’t pull my people around at all. I’m still figuring out all the details, so I may get us a little tangled up now and then, but I’m making great progress. When I see another dog while we’re out, I can be a little unsure at first and may want to head back home, but I’m building confidence every day and doing better all the time. My kennel is my safe space. I do extremely well in it and settle in comfortably when my people are away. In fact, if I’m left out while they leave the house, I may cry and whine because I miss them and feel unsure. But when I’m tucked into my kennel, I relax and feel secure. Because of that, I do best when I’m crated if left alone. I know some important words too, like my name, “come,” “no,” “good girl,” “kennel,” “out,” and “off.” I love playtime, exploring the backyard, and anything involving squeaky toys. I came from rural Ohio, where I was found alone with another dog who may have been from the same family as me — maybe even a littermate. Even so, even if I had to fend for myself early on, I held onto my sweet heart and loving spirit. More than anything, I’m just a huge love who wants to make as many friends as possible. I’m looking for a home where I can keep building my confidence, keep being my silly self, and be loved for the wonderful, wobbly girl I am. If you are interested in meeting Magnolia Soxington apply to adopt her at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $350. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 5 or older. ##2686250##
