Story
Ygritte is getting ready to turn two years old and is full of love once she learns to trust you. She is a herding dog and would be best suited at a home with a fenced in yard or where she can receive regular exercise. Ygritte is good with dogs, has done doggy daycare, and lives with a dog and cat who she gets along well with. She's fully vaccinated and current on prevention medication. She is very timid around strangers and can be anxious in new environments but she is very cuddly once she trusts her humans.

Meet Hannah: The 65lb Diamond in the Fluff! 💎✨ Are you looking for a professional napper with a heart of gold? Hannah is an 11-year-young Border Collie mix who proves that age is just a number and "curvy" is a lifestyle! Currently weighing in at 65 lbs, Hannah is on a dedicated fitness journey (aren’t we all?) to get back to her svelte self. But don’t let the diet fool you—she’s got plenty of "spunk" left in her step! Why Hannah is the ultimate roommate: Expert Snoozer: Her favorite hobby is sleeping upside down on the couch. High-level gymnastics? No, just Hannah at nap time. 🤸‍♀️💤 Social Butterfly: She absolutely adores people and gets along famously with other dogs. Cuddle Bug: She’s a world-class snuggler and currently spends her nights tucked up with her canine foster siblings. 🐕❤️ Hannah found herself looking for a new chapter after her previous owner moved into assisted living. She’s handled the transition with total grace and is ready to bring her soulful eyes and goofy upside-down smiles to a forever home. If you have a couch, a heart for seniors, and a commitment to her "less kibble, more cuddles" plan, Hannah is waiting for you! Story
Age: ~2 years old Breed: Border Collie Mix Sex: Male Weight: 60 lbs Energy Level: Moderate Meet Murphy! Murphy is a stunning black-and-white Border Collie mix with beautiful ticking and an even more beautiful heart. This sweet boy hasn’t had the easiest start in life, but despite everything, he continues to love people and looks forward to finding a forever family of his own. Murphy first found himself in a county shelter, where he was adopted just one week later by an older couple living in an apartment. Unfortunately, Murphy was simply too strong and energetic for their lifestyle, and after six months he was returned to the shelter — only to end up on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, Murphy was given a second chance, and now he’s ready for the life he truly deserves. Murphy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and genuinely enjoys their company. He especially loves having a canine buddy to play with, whether male or female. A home with another playful dog would be ideal for him. He is both crate trained and house trained, and one of his absolute favorite things is going for car rides. Murphy also loves to run around the backyard and roll in the grass — pure joy for this boy! Because he enjoys outdoor play so much, a physically fenced yard would be best for him. His future family should be committed to positive, force-free training methods only, so no electric fences, e-collars, prong collars, or similar training tools. Murphy enjoys walks, although he can pull at times. His foster family has been working with him, and he’s making progress, but his forever family will need to continue using positive reinforcement training. He’s incredibly smart, eager to learn, and already knows basic commands along with a few fun tricks. Murphy catches on quickly and responds very well to guidance. A formal training class would be a wonderful way to continue building his confidence and strengthen the bond with his forever family. Because of his strength and enthusiasm, Murphy would do best in a home with children over the age of 10. One thing Murphy is still discovering is how to simply be a dog. He hasn’t quite figured out fetch yet — almost as if he never had the opportunity to learn in his previous homes. Watching him experience new things and learn how to play has been incredibly rewarding. Murphy is ready for a family that will be patient, active, and committed to giving him the love, structure, and companionship he’s always deserved. In return, he’ll give endless loyalty, affection, and plenty of happy car ride adventures. Murphy is neutered, current on vaccinations, HW negative and microchipped. Location: Northeast Ohio Contact: tlb145@aim.com Please visit our webpage to see Murphy and his friends https://www.midwestbordercollierescue.org/alldogs

Story
Meet Percy! We have had Percy just over 2 weeks after his previous owner couldn't care for him. He has made a lot of progress since coming into our care and we are so proud of him!Percy turns 5 this month (May 2026). He is a Border Collie mix.He is sweet and very intelligent. He will be your best friend for life! The ideal new home will have no cats and at least one other dog. Percy loves friends and gets along great with all dogs!We do not know how he is with small children, but because he can be a little rambunctious, we think older kids or no kids would be better. He is highly trainable. He is 100% housebroken and knows sit, stay, leave it, down, house (to return to the crate), etc.He is learning how to be crate trained (doing really well!) and how to walk on the leash without pulling. He makes great progress every day!The ideal new home will understand that he is a work in progress but that he has a TON of potential!Rehoming because we have 3 cats and they aren't blending well.
