Meet Daisy Jo! 🐾 Daisy Jo is a senior Border Collie with a whole lot of love left to give. She’s a sweet, calm girl who absolutely loves attention and being around people. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will happily soak up your affection, Daisy Jo may be your girl! She’s currently learning commands like “sit” and is doing her best to impress! In fact, she may even sit and give you her paw at the same time. She’s a smart girl who is enjoying learning new things and would love someone who will continue encouraging her. Daisy Jo has so much love to give and is ready to spend her golden years surrounded by someone who will cherish her as much as she deserves. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog. We found this girl wandering the street and took her in to keep her safe. We attempted to find her a good home 3 different times in the past and it never worked out (reasons unknown). We always got a call that she was found on the streets again and returned to us because she is chipped and her potential new owners never changed the owner information so we were always listed as her owners. The last time she was found on the street, we took her back in but she does not get along with our dogs and it's become very difficult for us now that I am disabled. We believe she has possibly become deaf and because we have other dogs in our family, we cannot give her the attention she needs. She would love a big fenced in yard to run around with someone who has the time to give her special love and attention in her senior years. She currently stays inside a huge crate (meant for Great Dane size), she does not want to come out or play because of our dogs. For more info on her, please contact us.

Story
Daisy is a loving 7 month old puppy. She will greet you with belly rubs and hugs. We are looking to rehome her due to behavioral issues of food aggression. She tends to counter and table surf and if we correct her with food she has taken she becomes aggressive and bites at our hands and arms. She has never showed this aggression to the toddler and seems to understand being gentle with the toddler. She is still working on house training but will often cue when she needs to go potty. Unfortunately our work schedules and having a toddler in the home do not allow us the time she needs to work on behavioral and potty training. She would benefit from a family with a fenced yard for running and one who has time to dedicate to training. She is highly intelligent and has picked up on commands and a few tricks we have worked on with her. She is kennel trained and will come with a plethora of toys and a kennel.

Meet CJ, your next snuggle buddy! CJ is a well-mannered, playful, young-at-heart companion with an adventurous spirit and so much love to give. At an estimated 7 years young and around 44 lbs, he’s the perfect mix of outdoor explorer and cozy couch companion. He’s currently living in a foster home with another dog and showing everyone just how special he is! When CJ first arrived at the shelter, volunteers noticed he was having some trouble with moving his back paw, so he was quickly placed in a medical foster home to give him the care and support he needed. He was subsequently diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). The good news? CJ’s case is considered low-grade, and his veterinary team is optimistic about his recovery with conservative treatment and rest. Thanks to his wonderful vet team and dedicated fosters, he’s already made tremendous progress - about 60% of the way there! CJ is looking for a forever family that will cheer him on through the rest of his recovery and help him stick to his care plan. This includes crate rest, no jumping/playing, limited stairs, leisurely strolls, and endless snuggles. In his foster home, he has proven to be house broken, crate trained, rarely makes a peep, and manageable on leash. He loves exploring the outdoors, sniffing all the interesting smells, and soaking up affection. CJ is also very treat-motivated, making training a breeze! At night, he likes to curl up on the couch next to you and snooze. When he wants some extra attention, he will reach out with a paw, that’s his way of politely asking for a back scratch, belly rub, or even a little paw massage. Consider yourself officially summoned for snuggles! His compatibility with cats and children is currently unknown. As always, a meet and greet with resident dogs is required. CJ is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which means you can welcome this sweetheart into your home while he completes his veterinary care, including neuter, vaccines, microchip, and heartworm testing. Story
Bert is a 5 year old loving guy. Half German Shepherd and quarter Border Collie/Beagle. He loves his person/people and wants to be included in everything they are doing. It breaks our hearts to have to rehome him. He has always sorta been anxious around children and we have a toddler who he was always fine with until recently. We have another on the way and just feel it’s best for everyone if he finds a new home without any children around. He may take a little time to warm up to new friends and we will absolutely be willing to do meet and greets to get him more comfortable before being rehomed. We have another male dog he is okay with for the most part but if he is going to be with another dog in the home, female would probably be best. We had a cat that he avoided so not sure how he would do with another one. Will come with crate, food, bowls, and some flea/tick medicine.
