Story
Meet CJ! CJ is a handsome 43-pound Lab mix who is estimated to be around 7 yrs old. This gentle boy arrived at our shelter with his brother, Frankie, after their beloved owner passed away. Their owner`s landlord lovingly cared for both dogs until they could be safely surrendered to our shelter.CJ has been an absolute sweetheart since arriving. While he`s excited to get outside and enjoy some fresh air, he`s the calmer of the two brothers and has a gentle, easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around. With his medium energy level, CJ enjoys spending time outdoors, taking leisurely walks, and would be perfectly content lounging in a sunny spot. In fact, his dream home would include a fenced yard where he can safely explore, stretch out, and soak up the sunshine.CJ walks nicely on a leash, making him an excellent companion for neighborhood strolls or peaceful walks through the park. He has been a polite and sweet shelter guest, winning over everyone he meets with his kind nature.CJ is reported to be dog-friendly. As always, if you have a resident canine, a meet-and-greet is required to ensure everyone is a perfect match. He has not been exposed to cats, and his compatibility with children is currently unknown.CJ is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which means you can welcome him home now while he finishes his veterinary care with the shelter. During this time, he`ll receive his vaccines, neuter, microchip, and heartworm testing—everything he needs to begin his next chapter safe, healthy, and loved. After losing the person he loved, CJ is ready for a fresh start with a family who will cherish his gentle spirit. Whether he`s joining you for a quiet walk or relaxing beside you in the sunshine, CJ is simply looking for a place to call home—and someone to love. Ready to welcome CJ into your family? Email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and submit an online dog adoption application for CJ today. CJ`s adoption fee is $85.

Story
Hannah still needs a home! She's our diamond in the fluff! 💎✨ Are you looking for a professional napper with a heart of gold? Hannah is an 11-year-young Border Collie mix who proves that age is just a number and she's put her "curvy" lifestyle in the past! Currently weighing in at about 50 lbs. When she first came to TRI, she was 67 lbs. Hannah went on a dedicated fitness journey and got back to her svelte self. But don’t let the diet fool you—she’s got plenty of "spunk" left in her step! Why Hannah is the ultimate roommate: Expert Snoozer: Her favorite hobby is sleeping upside down on the couch. High-level gymnastics? No, just Hannah at nap time. 🤸‍♀️💤 Social Butterfly: She absolutely adores people. Cuddle Bug: She’s a world-class snuggler and currently spends her nights tucked up with her foster mom. 🐕❤️ Hannah found herself looking for a new chapter after her previous owner moved into assisted living. She’s handled the transition with total grace and is ready to bring her soulful eyes and goofy upside-down smiles to a forever home. If you have a couch, a heart for seniors, and a commitment to her "less kibble, more cuddles" plan, Hannah is waiting for you! Story
Mylo is a sweet senior Border Collie mix, a little over 11, who has the gentlest soul and a goofy charm that shows once he feels safe. He came from a hoarding situation but has grown into a calm, loving dog who enjoys treats, car rides, slow walks, and rolling in the grass. He’s great with kids and cats, does well at the vet and groomer, and mostly spends his days napping peacefully. Mylo is urine incontinent and wears reusable diapers, and I’ll provide plenty for his new home; he also has mild arthritis but is fully up‑to‑date on shots and vet care. I’m rehoming him due to job loss and financial strain, and my only hope is that someone with a patient heart can give him the quiet, comfortable retirement he deserves.

Story
We found this girl wandering the street and took her in to keep her safe. We attempted to find her a good home 3 different times in the past and it never worked out (reasons unknown). We always got a call that she was found on the streets again and returned to us because she is chipped and her potential new owners never changed the owner information so we were always listed as her owners. The last time she was found on the street, we took her back in but she does not get along with our dogs and it's become very difficult for us now that I am disabled. We believe she has possibly become deaf and because we have other dogs in our family, we cannot give her the attention she needs. She would love a big fenced in yard to run around with someone who has the time to give her special love and attention in her senior years. She currently stays inside a huge crate (meant for Great Dane size), she does not want to come out or play because of our dogs. For more info on her, please contact us.

She’s a good dog. Haven’t had any issues with her being around the kids. My new work schedule is making it very difficult to spend time with her.

Story
This is Craig, almost 7 months old cattle dog mix. He started off shy but now has come into his own and is vibrant and full of life. He is very high energy so would do best in an active home. He loves cuddles whether it is with his foster siblings or of the human kind. He can play for hours whether it is with his foster siblings or fetch. He doesn't discriminate with toys, he will chew and chase after them all. He is crate trained and doing great with house training. He knows sit and working on other basic skills. If you're looking to add to your pack or wanting to start, consider little guy Craig!

Story
We adopted Maggie from rescueme.org a little under a year ago. She has been a very loving, sweet, playful, smart dog. She listens well, loves having a task, knows many commands. She just turned 5, has all her shots, sleeps in kennel, does well at doggy daycare, and weighs around 45lbs. However, she has a lot of anxiety around being left alone (never tearing things up, just barking and whining when leaving, after we are gone she is fine) which we have been working on with her since we've had her. We have a 4 year old son, and recently she, unprovoked, nipped and drew blood from a friend's hand, we can't have an unpredictable dog around our son or his friends. She is protective (barking when new people come over) but warms up within 5 minutes and is completely submissive and sweet.

Story
Izzy needs a new home! Beautiful 5 years old spayed female 1/2 Blue Heeler/Australian Cattle Dog the other half combo?.We are retiring and moving and Izzy deserves a yard, some outdoor daily fun and continued love. This is hard for us but we would like to re-home into someone else’s loving arms and home. She is up to date on all shots and sees a Vet regularly. Izzy eats well, sleeps well and goes to doggie play place several times a week and runs with her buddies. She deserves to be with someone or some couple that enjoys the outdoors. At large dog parks she runs So fast and loves the outdoor life. We would love for her to have that kind of day. We never leave her outside alone. She is a family dog with lots of love to offer. Her recall Is great and treats get any positive behavior. We walk 3 times a day and she catches frisbees in our yard with us. She is great in car. She is not meant to be with kids under 10ish. She’s a beauty!
