See more adoptable puppies at h2erescue.org! Hi, my name is Dixie. I am an 11 week old spayed female Border Collie / Australian Shepherd MIX. My mom is a Border Collie Mix farm dog and dad is an Australian Shepherd neighbor boy. Yes, I am a beautiful mistake. I am up to date on my shots and ready to go home. Please go to our personal website at, h2erescue.org and fill out an application under my profile "I'm Interested". Our adoption fee is $526. This is used to cover vet care, vaccinations, food etc. We are a rescue group, not a shelter and we foster these animals at our home. Since we are a rescue, we can not guarantee the size or the breed of the dog. After approval, we will meet you at our Adoption Center. We currently have two locations. Our primary address is 3616 Williams Lake Rd, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663. We sometimes hold Adoption events at 4173 Mayfield Rd, South Euclid, Ohio 44121, like other rescues do at a pet store. At this time we are only able to do adoptions in our home base, 3616 Williams Lake Rd. New Philadelphia, OH 44663. Please Google the address first before you fill out the application, to make sure you can make the drive to us. Remember we show by appointment ONLY.

Story
Meet Arrow! Arrow was born December 4, 2023 and is 6 months old. This little guy is handsome – black and white with all the speckles. Arrow is a mix of spitz, border collie and Mountain Feist. He should remain on the smaller side, less than 35 pounds, when fully grown. Arrow arrived to The Rescue Inn (TRI) in March with his sisters. He’s in foster care now with dogs of all different sizes. Arrow would love a home with other dogs that won’t be offended by his energetic nature and puppy antics. Arrow is looking for an energetic family that will cherish his spunk and will be active with him. A fenced in yard would be perfect for this boy to run around in. Arrow would make a great running or walking partner. Arrow will continue to blossom with guidance and boundaries. He is crate trained and potty trained. Contact TRI at therescueinn@gmail.com or (216) 369-9141 for more information!

Story
To meet Tuesday, contact Rachael at 440-773-0270 Hi! I'm Tuesday, and I'm hoping someone will adopt me! I'd been in the shelter for quite a while, so in March 2024, I was placed in a foster home so that I could remember what "home was like, and feel the freedom of running and playing in a backyard. If it would help you decide, I'm "all ears if you have any questions at the meet-and-greet! Here's what I know about myself: I'm housebroken! I know how to ring bells or nudge you if I need to go potty. I'm crate-trained! I especially don't mind going into my crate if I have a couple of treat-filled toys to occupy myself when I'm told to "go to the crate. Sometimes I get too excited with treat-filled toys, or want them all to myself, so it might be best to just use them if I'm in the crate. I don't even have to be in a crate! Once my foster mom got to know me, she let me out of the crate on a gradual basis, and then for full days while she was at work. While she's gone, I sleep, watch for squirrels in the backyard, or play with my toys. I'm a fast learner! I know a few commands: stop, sit, down, stay, come, shake paw, no-jump, and off (sometimes I get too excited to see someone come home!). I'm used to being told to "sit before eating from my food dish. Although I'm still working on heeling, I can heel on the left or the right. I know that when I'm told "okay, I can relax from a command. I love toys! Sometimes I enjoy bringing them to you, sometimes I like fetching them, but sometimes I like taking a toy and being by myself for a while. I enjoy watching birds and squirrels! I like chasing squirrels too! I'm athletic, and I love to accompany someone who's walking, jogging, or running. If you're not into that, my favorite activity happens to be running as fast as I can around a yard. I love going for car rides! I'm outside on a regular basis with my foster mom, either around the neighborhood, or hopping in the car for a road trip into the Metro Park, so I've also gotten used to a lot of different environments while on a leash. I love snuggling once I get to know someone! I know what "kisses means, so I'm happy to offer those too once I get to know someone. I've also been working with my foster mom on meeting other dogs and other people when we're out on the trails. Sometimes I'm nervous meeting new people, but once I get to know someone, I'm very happy to be with them!

Buck is nervous around strangers! He is good with kids! No cats, dogs, or farm animals, due to his reactivity! He bit her child several years ago when she was trying to take something away from him. He also bit the owner earlier this year when she was trying to force him inside. She said he nips and snaps as well.
