Durk is a 1 year old 52 lb neutered male Border Collie mix! He came from a SC kill shelter and our rescue was asked to save him by taking him to our rescue because he is a friendly boy! He is a sweet dog friendly and people friendly dog friendly, but not cat friendly! He is also microchipped and heartworm negative! He deserves a loving home! We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Davina came to us when her owner found herself on hard times.  Having needed to move, Davina was unable to go with.  A caring neighbor worked to get Davina into PK and we would love to see this gentle girl in her furever home. Davina is currently in foster and this is what her foster mom says: She is a sweet border collie that just wants to be by your side.  She loves napping in a comfy bed.  Davina walks well on leash and knows sit, down, and will even offer you her paw.  Giving kisses seems to be her specialty.  Davina's beautiful thick coat would benefit from regular brushing.   Davina does seem to go to doors and fence gates like she wants to bolt, so an adopter would need to ensure she is safe.  This could subside as she settles in as she may just be looking to go "home", but we want to be sure to mention so we can find the safest placement for her.  Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Cookie is a lovely energetic dog who loves to play ball. She will be 4 years old on January 31st, she did come from a breeder. She can only be around female dogs since she's not spayed but also I recommend having a puppy if you do introduce her to a new dog since she doesn't always react well with certain female dogs. Cookie does these fun flips in the air when catching the ball and if she could play ball 24/7 she would. She loves to be outside and really loves the snow. Cookie will try to jump out of the tub when giving her a bath so you'll have to pick her up and put her in and she doesn't take treats in the tub since she knows its a bribe. If you have kids she will protect them like there her own. She is an anxious dog but has worked on a lot of training so she is less anxious but it's still there. Please know she is a lovely dog who just wants to have fun. She does love to steal food and she might get into the trash can but that's only if you leave her coped up all the time.
