Meet Arlo 🐾 Arlo is a 1.5-year-old mix (there is definitely some border collie in there!) with a big personality, a happy heart, and energy for days! Smart, affectionate, and eager to please, Arlo loves learning new things and being your right-hand (or paw) man. If you enjoy an active lifestyle, Arlo is ready to be your adventure buddy. He is fully potty trained, up to date on all vaccinations, and already neutered, so he’s all set and ready for his forever home. Arlo has lots of energy and lives for a good full-speed run. Arlos perfect furever home does have a fenced in yard with enough space so he can zoom, explore, and then happily race back to you with a big grin. He will need an active family who is willing to commit to making sure he gets regular exercise! He is working on his leash walking skills and is getting there! Like many young, playful dogs, Arlo is still learning about appropriate playtime antics and will need a strong leader who is willing and ready to work with him in harnessing his excitement! With his intelligence and desire to please, basic obedience training would be a great way to help him shine even brighter. Arlo isn’t much of a barker. He won’t react to doorbells or knocking, but he will adorably let you know when he wants playtime, more water, or a potty break. One of his funniest quirks? Water! Arlo loves it so much he’ll try to sneak into the shower while it’s running—just in case it turns into a pool party. 🚿🐶 Arlo is currently being fostered in Wernersville and would need to meet potential adopters to make sure it’s a great match for everyone. Alro wouldn't mind having a canine playmate to romp around with in the yard, or could be a one and only dog in the right family. We lost our dog of 15 years in 2024. My husband and I are in our older years, and were not going to get another pet. Unexpectedly, our loving daughter decided that it would be wonderful to buy us a puppy in June of 2025. While in the beginning, it was exciting and we loved having a puppy again, It is clearly too much for my husband and myself. Indy is a very active border collie that needs much playtime. We would highly recommend he goes to a younger couple's home or a couple with children. He loves to be touched, I think even more than treats. He has pink birth marks on his black nose that we thought would go away as he grew however have not. He has full control of his ears and uses them to show emotion. Indy is a very vocal puppy. At times it would seem that he's actually having conversations with my husband. He knows some commands like sit, stay, shake, down, and lay down. He is kennel trained, not that he likes it, but he is kenneled when we are not home.

Sadie is currently at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at the bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Sadie is 2 1/2 years old (December 1) and is possibly a Border Collie/Lab mix. -Come into the local shelter in Summer 2023 as a small puppy. Transferred to our rescue on June 7th -Just went through heartworm treatment and tested negative as of December 9th! -Used to be shy and timid....now she is well socialized and loves to get all of your attention and she's not afraid to ask for it! -Energetic breed who would love a nice yard to run in and a family to love on. -35-40 pounds. -Gets along with other dogs. Would do best in a home with another dog to play with. Does like to be the "alpha" with some females (never aggressive). Gets along great with males -She can walk on a leash, but it does need some work. -If home has kids, must be 10+ -Video of Sadie from December 1: https://youtube.com/shorts/idXhtmRwhwg Sadie is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), dewormed, microchipped, on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
