Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Pawla, the 2-year-old Border Collie with all the charm and a dash of mischief! This lovable goofball was a stray who never got claimed, but she’s living her best life in foster care now, just waiting to meet her forever family. Pawla is the epitome of sweet—no aggression, no resource guarding, and she won’t jump on you (we're looking at you, every dog who does that!). She’s crate-trained, knows sit, shake, stay, and even how to speak (but don’t worry, she’s not giving you a TED talk just yet). She’s a cuddle queen, loves being in bed or on your lap, and will take treats like a lady. But, of course, Pawla’s got a few quirks! She’s still working on house training (but she’s a fast learner, promise), and she's a super chewer—think of her as your personal toy tester. Pawla IS NOT GOOD with cats.   As for her recall... let’s just say if she’s busy doing something, she’s in the zone and you might as well be invisible. Also, she’s a little paw-happy when it comes to attention and might paw at your face or lick you like she’s auditioning for a role in 'Dog Gone Wild.' Pawla isn’t exactly a toddler’s best friend (she might accidentally knock them over with love), but if you’re looking for a high-energy, cuddle-loving, quirky dog who’ll never leave your lap empty, she’s the one!    Pawla is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.AVAILABLE after February 20, 2025. Born on November 17, 2024, Aquarius came to us having living OUTSIDE on a farm with her Mom and siblings. No clue what a home was, she was absolutely terrified of everything. However, by the end of her first day, she worked up the courage to wag her tail and tiptoe over to say hello.  She eyed the strange objects on the floor (also known as puppy toys) as if they might bite her, but she’s quickly figuring things out—stuffed animals and crinkly toys are already her favorites. Each day, she grows a little braver and a little sassier, especially when she’s looking for attention!   She fits right in with her foster mom’s two german shepherds and one small dog and isn’t bothered by the cat at all. In fact, she’s perfectly content stretching out on the cat bed—sometimes with the cat still in it!   Just a baby, Aquarius is still working on potty training, but she’s catching on fast. She follows the big dogs outside, takes care of business like a pro, and trots right back inside when she’s done.   Smart, sweet, and blossoming more each day, Aquarius is well on her way to becoming the perfect addition to a loving home!     PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING FOR OUR FLUFFY   We can't guarantee Aquarius' Parentage.   BREED :  Mother appears to be a Border Collie. His absentee Dad is assumed to be a lab/husky mix.    SIZE:   We can NOT predict the size of these dogs.  Safe to say – 40-60 lbs.  Please don’t apply if size is a factor in your decision.  Our goal is to never have to re-home our dogs—especially because they didn’t grow to expectations.   THEY POOP AND PEE A LOT:  Be prepared.  Typically, a puppy can control their bladder one hour for every month of age. So if your puppy is 2 months old, they can hold it for about two hours. Don't go longer than this between bathroom breaks or they're likely to have an accident. SHE WILL SHED A LOT; DO YOU HAVE A GOOD SWEEPER   IF you work away from home—you will need a patient care giver for your new addition in your absence.   Aquarius absolutely need training, exercise, and commitment to grooming.    This fluffy pup can give the right owner many wonderful years of companionship and love; but it will be a full time commitment.    It is the responsibility of puppy adopters to continue and complete the puppy shot/maintenance protocols.  These pups have had their first puppy shot and are dewormed (you may have to continue follow up on deworming).    Puppies will need at least two more boosters and a rabies vaccine in the coming weeks with boosters again yearly.  Your vet may recommend other vaccines in the future; such as lyme, influenza etc.     You MUST sign a contract agreeing to have your puppy spayed/neutered at an age recommended by your veterinarian.  You must provide Haven to Home with proof of SPAY/NEUTER at an agreed upon date in the future.   ASK yourself:    Can I afford to have my puppy spayed/neutered? This dog may live to be 15-20 years old. Do I really want to make this possible lifetime commitment? If my pet gets sick or injured can I afford the medical treatment? (In some cases this could be for the duration of my pet's life.) Am I home enough to give this pet the proper attention and training that it needs? What will I do with the dog if we go away on vacation? Can I afford the adoption fee? Can I afford the cost of monthly flea and heartworm preventative?   If you are STILL interested in adopting one of our pups :) please submit an application.  Our rescue dogs are placed in homes based on the best possible match for dog and human.     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
Angel is a 1 year old neutered male that weighs 38 lbs and is likely a Border Collie mix. He is Heartworm negative, microchipped. Came from San Antonio kill shelter in Texas, but our rescue team in Texas pulled him. He is very submissive until he feels secure and then he loves to be petted and sit next to you. We believe he is actually housetrained. Rides well in a car. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Angel please text Casey at 570-441-0083. Story
This beautiful girl is called Kenzie and she is a Border Collie mix  from what we can tell due to her size, temperament and the very silky soft fur that adorns her.  This girl is about 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds and is such a spunky and active girl that is happy, charming, and ready for any adventure that you want to ask her to join you in.  Her story is not uncommon in the south, but it definitely was one of  neglect.   Our girl Kenzie is a survivor and a brilliant puppy. Her persona is one of vibrance in life and resilience, topped with confidence.  She adores other dogs, young children and never meets an adult stranger.  She has beautiful eyes that are the color of blue in one and brown in the other.  Her charming personality is bold, happy and full of smiles and energy.  She embraces life with the full expectancy that she will give good love to others and good love will come back to her.And that is what we have promised her at Critter Cavalry Rescue. We will not settle for anything but the best. Our hope is that she will have a home filled with laughter and activities thar also include a home with a fenced yard, and long walks or jogs, along with excursions in the car that the best of great outdoor events. She brings great karma to all who meet her.   If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained and undeniable beauty, then please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. She is located in Nashville, TN and able to transport on a weekend to the northeast to a new family. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 19, 2025, 1:04 pm

Story
This handsome scruffy black and white darling boy is called Ross and we have determined that he is a Border Collie/Border Terrier mix that is estimated to be 5 months old and weighs 14 pounds and destined to be around 35 pounds as an adult.  This boy and his sister, Rachel, were abandoned in a small rural area of Tennessee at a cabin that was a parttime retreat for a family that lived 200 miles away.  Fortunately ,the cabin’s doorbell camera  caught these puppies being abandoned and alerted the property owner that these poor puppies were in trouble with no food or water anywhere around.  To make matters worse, impending frigid weather was on its way to their area.  The doors opened and rescue forces got to work quickly to go and pick up the puppies and carry them to a Critter Cavalry Rescue foster home.   This puppy and his sister are both smart and anxious to please.  Ross wants to be someone's special Valentine. He is crate trained and learning what it's like to be in a warm and loving home.  It's hard to imagine that only 2 weeks ago some cold-hearted person dumped him and his sister Rachel to possibly die from lack of care or food.  God was with them in finding immediate help and they have been worth every effort.  So sweet and loving and innocent.  Beautiful pups with wiry faces and sleek Terrier bodies that bring a smile when you meet them.  Ross is being neutered on Feb. 4th and will be ready for a forever home on Valentine’s Day.  We estimate that he will grow to be a 40 pound handsome boy that will bring so much fun, love and adventure to the person or persons who adopt him.  If you are wanting a wonderful rescue puppy to raise and love then please consider Ross.   Critter Cavalry Rescue transports from Nashville, Tn to the northeast and of course local Tennessee adoptions are welcome, too.  Please email asking for an application to ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 11, 2025, 9:45 pm

Story
This handsome 4.5 month old puppster is called Boy George and he is what you would call….a character.  A Border Collie mix puppy who is smart and mischievous and a leader in life.  He was born in a litter of 8 puppies around the middle of October and he was the biggest kid in the bunch. He is laidback yet very much an involved pup when it comes to creating dog events that are fun and inquisitive.  He is one that doesn’t back down because he knows that he can win the challenge with his tenacity.  Boy George has conquered all the obligations in his life to learn about housebreaking, crate time and how to walk on a leash with at least a B- rating.  Practice will make perfect when in a family that has more one on one time for him.  He is going to be a 55 pound boy once he is grown.  His Mom is Blue Eyed Kaye and she is a wonderful girl with a happy demeanor and has certainly passed it along to all her sweet offspring.  Boy George is a good pup but he is looking for an even smarter owner that will figure him out before he slips one in on you. He is loving and can be an attention grabber because when you are raised in a pack of 8 siblings, you kind of crave some private time for yourself.  Boy George will be a fun pup to raise and one that will excel at puppy training classes.  At 18 weeks of age and 32 pounds, he is a great size to take on car rides, walks on a trail or  your local neighborhood.  He will welcome new dogs and people to meet and did we mention that he LOVES CATS!   To our Boy George they are just another friend in life!   We will require a home with a securely fenced yard so that this boy can explore and hang out in the great outdoors/backyard.  He is not a digger and he is not a fence climber.  But he is a dog that requires the stimulation both physically and mentally every day.  Teach him things and he will make you a proud dog owner. Someone is looking for a dog like this.  Maybe an only dog in the home or just a great addition because he will be play buddies with anyone.  But always know that you must be the leader of your pack and Boy George.  He craves the boundaries and rules.  He thrives best not having his way and is so moldable.  If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Mention where you live, city and state.  Transport is available to the northeast outside of Tennessee where he is being fostered PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 19, 2025, 9:16 pm
