Story
Meet Venus Just like her name, Venus is pure beauty inside and out. This 1-year-old sweetheart has the softest eyes and a gentle soul that will quietly steal your heart. Venus is exceptionally dog-friendly and loves having canine friends by her side. She absolutely adores kids and truly shines around them—gentle, loving, and happiest when surrounded by their laughter. She’s also eager to learn and wants so badly to do the right thing, making her a wonderful candidate for continued training and confidence-building. Venus can be very shy around men. While we don’t know her past, we believe she may have experienced something difficult involving a male, so she’ll need patience, kindness, and understanding. With time and gentle reassurance, Venus begins to trust—and when she does, her love is deep, loyal, and incredibly special. She’s searching for a calm, loving home that will let her move at her own pace and show her what safety and unconditional love truly mean. In return, Venus will offer quiet companionship, sweet moments, and a heart full of devotion. If you believe the most beautiful bonds are built with patience and love, Venus may be the one you’ve been waiting for ##2620615##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Felicia & sister Rayla were saved from a high kill shelter as puppies on NOVEMBER 9, 2024 and have been in foster ever since. There has been zero interest in these wonderful girls, who now have been in foster the majority of their young lives. When Felicia first came to us, she was scared of people but has come out of her shell so much thanks to her patient and persistent foster. Now she is curious, friendly, confident and does very well at Petco adoption events! She & Rayla are a joy to watch zooming around the yard, being goofy and wearing each other out. Inside they play together until tired, then will curl up and take a nap. Rayla and Felicia are looking for their forever home! They have been together in foster for so long at this point, we really think they would be best going to a home together, they seem happily bonded. If you have space for 2.. they will bring the entertainment and cuddles! Some pictures make them look large but both are small/medium size adult dogs 30-35 lbs., crate trained, house trained and spayed.  Link to her sister Rayla's page: https://lastchancepetrescueinc.rescuegroups.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=21068147   Please contact us with any questions! There has been zero interest in these wonderful girls, who now have been in foster the majority of their young lives. Like a lot of us.. public places are stressful and anxiety-inducing for Rayla. She doesn't show well (or at all if she's hiding under a chair) at adoption events and she can be timid and fearful with men. However, once she's back in her comfort zone her real personality comes out and she is a completely different dog. If you had a chandelier and she could reach it.. she'd be swinging from it!  Ok, that's an exaggeration, but she does make sure to show you how much she appreciates you by full body wags, and presenting you with her belly to rub, you're welcome. She's one of those dogs that just has a happy & upbeat vibe with a full body wiggle. See that adoring look.. that's all for you.  <3 Aside from public events, not much seems to dull this girl's spark. Rayla has an old injury that according to the vets likely happened when she was a puppy. Unfortunately it has healed in the wrong position and in order to 'fix' it, she would have to have an invasive surgery or full amputation that could be more traumatic than necessary. While it looks a little awkward, she doesn't seem to be in any pain. She still uses the leg for stabilization when running and playing with her sister, but doesn't rely on it. Rayla and Felicia are looking for their forever home! They have been together in foster for so long and they play so well together, we really think they would be best going to a home together.  they seem to be happily bonded. Story
This handsome 4.5 month old puppster is called Boy George and he is what you would call….a character.  A Border Collie mix puppy who is smart and mischievous and a leader in life.  He was born in a litter of 8 puppies around the middle of October and he was the biggest kid in the bunch. He is laidback yet very much an involved pup when it comes to creating dog events that are fun and inquisitive.  He is one that doesn’t back down because he knows that he can win the challenge with his tenacity.  Boy George has conquered all the obligations in his life to learn about housebreaking, crate time and how to walk on a leash with at least a B- rating.  Practice will make perfect when in a family that has more one on one time for him.  He is going to be a 55 pound boy once he is grown.  His Mom is Blue Eyed Kaye and she is a wonderful girl with a happy demeanor and has certainly passed it along to all her sweet offspring.  Boy George is a good pup but he is looking for an even smarter owner that will figure him out before he slips one in on you. He is loving and can be an attention grabber because when you are raised in a pack of 8 siblings, you kind of crave some private time for yourself.  Boy George will be a fun pup to raise and one that will excel at puppy training classes.  At 18 weeks of age and 32 pounds, he is a great size to take on car rides, walks on a trail or  your local neighborhood.  He will welcome new dogs and people to meet and did we mention that he LOVES CATS!   To our Boy George they are just another friend in life!   We will require a home with a securely fenced yard so that this boy can explore and hang out in the great outdoors/backyard.  He is not a digger and he is not a fence climber.  But he is a dog that requires the stimulation both physically and mentally every day.  Teach him things and he will make you a proud dog owner. Someone is looking for a dog like this.  Maybe an only dog in the home or just a great addition because he will be play buddies with anyone.  But always know that you must be the leader of your pack and Boy George.  He craves the boundaries and rules.  He thrives best not having his way and is so moldable.  If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Mention where you live, city and state.  Transport is available to the northeast outside of Tennessee where he is being fostered PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.April 22, 2025, 3:33 pm

Story
Meet Thor (aka Potatoe , Po, or Taty Boy!) Thor is an almost 6-year-old Aussie mix with a big heart, a strong work ethic, and a whole lot of love to give. True to his herding roots, Thor thrives when he has a job to do and enjoys staying busy—he’s happiest when his mind and body are engaged. He does great with other dogs, cats, and even livestock, making him a versatile companion for the right home. Thor walks well on a leash, crates well, and knows many basic commands. He’s smart, eager, and enjoys structure. Thor does best in a home with older kids only, as he doesn’t quite understand boundaries with little ones. He is incredibly protective of his people and loves deeply, forming strong bonds with those he trusts. When playtime is over, Thor is all about the cuddles—especially after he’s been worn out. His favorite things include tennis balls, treats, and quality time with his humans. Thor is ready to find his forever home where he can be loved, kept busy, and appreciated for the loyal, hardworking boy he is. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will love you fiercely, Thor might just be your perfect match. ##2638347##

Story
Meet Red Red first came to us as a stray, and shortly after arriving we learned he was heartworm positive. After months of treatment, rest, and lots of love, this sweet boy is officially healthy, heartworm-free, and ready for his forever home. At 8 years old, Red is the perfect mix of adventure buddy and couch companion. He gets along well with other dogs and truly enjoys making new friends. Red is a cattle dog through and through — smart, loyal, and just a little mouthy (it’s his breed’s way of communicating!). Because of this, he would do best in a home without children. His dream home? - A farm buddy to tag along on daily chores -Car rides with the windows down -Porch sitting at sunset  -Late-night cuddles on the couch -Cat free If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who will stick by your side through every adventure, Red might just be your guy. Interested in giving this sweet boy the home he deserves? Come meet him! Have other dogs? Bring them along for a meet and greet. ##2396017##

Story
Meet Birdie! If you ordered sass, spunk, and cuteness in one tiny package… Birdie would show up at your door. At 2 years old, this heeler mix is equal parts personality and love. She’s great with other dogs, absolutely adores kids, and will do just about anything for a treat (truly… she goes bonkers ). She knows how to sit and is always ready to show off for a snack. Now let’s talk about that signature heeler attitude — Birdie is a little vocal. She has thoughts. She has feelings. And she will gladly share them with you. It’s part of her charm and honestly just makes her even more entertaining. We believe Birdie would thrive in a home with other dogs. She bonds closely with her furry friends and feels most confident when she has a buddy by her side. If you already have pups at home, bring them for a meet and greet! Birdie isn’t just looking for a home — she’s looking for her people. Birdie's sister Pearl is here as well and looking for her forever home.  ##2040664##
