Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Felicia & sister Rayla were saved from a high kill shelter as puppies on NOVEMBER 9, 2024 and have been in foster ever since. There has been zero interest in these wonderful girls, who now have been in foster the majority of their young lives. When Felicia first came to us, she was scared of people but has come out of her shell so much thanks to her patient and persistent foster. Now she is curious, friendly, confident and does very well at Petco adoption events! She & Rayla are a joy to watch zooming around the yard, being goofy and wearing each other out. Inside they play together until tired, then will curl up and take a nap. Rayla and Felicia are looking for their forever home! They have been together in foster for so long at this point, we really think they would be best going to a home together, they seem happily bonded. If you have space for 2.. they will bring the entertainment and cuddles! Some pictures make them look large but both are small/medium size adult dogs 30-35 lbs., crate trained, house trained and spayed.  Link to her sister Rayla's page: https://lastchancepetrescueinc.rescuegroups.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=21068147   Please contact us with any questions! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rayla & sister Felicia were saved from a high kill shelter as puppies on NOVEMBER 9, 2024 and have been in foster ever since. There has been zero interest in these wonderful girls, who now have been in foster the majority of their young lives. Like a lot of us.. public places are stressful and anxiety-inducing for Rayla. She doesn't show well (or at all if she's hiding under a chair) at adoption events and she can be timid and fearful with men. However, once she's back in her comfort zone her real personality comes out and she is a completely different dog. If you had a chandelier and she could reach it.. she'd be swinging from it!  Ok, that's an exaggeration, but she does make sure to show you how much she appreciates you by full body wags, and presenting you with her belly to rub, you're welcome. She's one of those dogs that just has a happy & upbeat vibe with a full body wiggle. See that adoring look.. that's all for you.  <3 Aside from public events, not much seems to dull this girl's spark. Rayla has an old injury that according to the vets likely happened when she was a puppy. Unfortunately it has healed in the wrong position and in order to 'fix' it, she would have to have an invasive surgery or full amputation that could be more traumatic than necessary. While it looks a little awkward, she doesn't seem to be in any pain. She still uses the leg for stabilization when running and playing with her sister, but doesn't rely on it. Rayla and Felicia are looking for their forever home! They have been together in foster for so long and they play so well together, we really think they would be best going to a home together.  they seem to be happily bonded. Story
This handsome 4.5 month old puppster is called Boy George and he is what you would call….a character.  A Border Collie mix puppy who is smart and mischievous and a leader in life.  He was born in a litter of 8 puppies around the middle of October and he was the biggest kid in the bunch. He is laidback yet very much an involved pup when it comes to creating dog events that are fun and inquisitive.  He is one that doesn’t back down because he knows that he can win the challenge with his tenacity.  Boy George has conquered all the obligations in his life to learn about housebreaking, crate time and how to walk on a leash with at least a B- rating.  Practice will make perfect when in a family that has more one on one time for him.  He is going to be a 55 pound boy once he is grown.  His Mom is Blue Eyed Kaye and she is a wonderful girl with a happy demeanor and has certainly passed it along to all her sweet offspring.  Boy George is a good pup but he is looking for an even smarter owner that will figure him out before he slips one in on you. He is loving and can be an attention grabber because when you are raised in a pack of 8 siblings, you kind of crave some private time for yourself.  Boy George will be a fun pup to raise and one that will excel at puppy training classes.  At 18 weeks of age and 32 pounds, he is a great size to take on car rides, walks on a trail or  your local neighborhood.  He will welcome new dogs and people to meet and did we mention that he LOVES CATS!   To our Boy George they are just another friend in life!   We will require a home with a securely fenced yard so that this boy can explore and hang out in the great outdoors/backyard.  He is not a digger and he is not a fence climber.  But he is a dog that requires the stimulation both physically and mentally every day.  Teach him things and he will make you a proud dog owner. Someone is looking for a dog like this.  Maybe an only dog in the home or just a great addition because he will be play buddies with anyone.  But always know that you must be the leader of your pack and Boy George.  He craves the boundaries and rules.  He thrives best not having his way and is so moldable.  If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Mention where you live, city and state.  Transport is available to the northeast outside of Tennessee where he is being fostered PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.April 22, 2025, 3:33 pm

Story
Meet our wonderfully handsome Border Collie mix boy puppy named Waffles  Waffles is as sweet as his name and ready to find his forever home! This lovable guy is doing great with both crate training and potty training, and he’s already showing what a good housemate he can be. He loves to play hard with his foster siblings and has a fun, goofy energy—balanced by his gentle side, like happily sharing dinner without a fuss. His current favorite “toy”?   An old Croc… and honestly, it’s his prized possession. Waffles should grow to be a 45-50 pound adult Border Collie mix and he will be the smartest and most loving companion you could ever own.  He is in his high learning phase and still learning the ropes when it comes to walking on a leash and he’s making progress every day. He’s never met a stranger and loves to be told how handsome he is. He is so friendly, trusting, and eager for attention. If you’re looking for a playful, sweet, and loyal companion who just needs a little guidance as he grows, Waffles might be your perfect match. If you are interested in this boy puppy please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.May 1, 2026, 5:37 pm

Story
Cassava—“Sava” to those who love her—is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart and then never lets it go. This lovely 3-year-old Border Collie/Basset mix, weighing 34 pounds, is the perfect blend of charm, intelligence, and easygoing companionship.   Sava’s story is one of love and doing the right thing. She was adopted from a local humane society by a young man who adored her, but as life settled in, his long workdays—often 10 to 12 hours at a time—left Sava spending too much time alone. Wanting more for her than he could provide, he searched for help and never gave up until Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in to change the course of her life. Now Sava is ready for her true forever home—and what a gem she is.   She has a beautifully balanced personality: playful when it’s time for fun, but just as happy to relax and cuddle when the day winds down. She enjoys being active and would love regular exercise, but she’s not high-strung or overwhelming. While she’d certainly enjoy having a yard to run in, she’s proven she can adapt to apartment living as long as her physical and mental needs are met. Sava is housebroken and crate trained, and she settles well when crated during longer absences. She’s still polishing her leash skills, but with a little consistency, she’ll be a wonderful walking companion. Like many clever dogs, she has a playful streak—especially when it comes to paper products—so a dog-savvy home setup is always a plus.   When it comes to companionship, Sava checks every box. She’s gentle and loving with children, social and playful with other dogs, and even respectful of cats. Her temperament makes her an easy addition to many types of households.   Sava isn’t just a beautiful dog—she’s the kind of loyal, loving companion who will be by your side through it all, whether you’re out exploring or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home.     If you’ve been searching for a dog who brings together personality, adaptability, and heart, Sava is ready to meet you.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Meet Red Red first came to us as a stray, and shortly after arriving we learned he was heartworm positive. After months of treatment, rest, and lots of love, this sweet boy is officially healthy, heartworm-free, and ready for his forever home. At 8 years old, Red is the perfect mix of adventure buddy and couch companion. He gets along well with other dogs and truly enjoys making new friends. Red is a cattle dog through and through — smart, loyal, and just a little mouthy (it’s his breed’s way of communicating!). Because of this, he would do best in a home without children. His dream home? - A farm buddy to tag along on daily chores -Car rides with the windows down -Porch sitting at sunset  -Late-night cuddles on the couch -Cat free If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who will stick by your side through every adventure, Red might just be your guy. Interested in giving this sweet boy the home he deserves? Come meet him! Have other dogs? Bring them along for a meet and greet. ##2396017##
