Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Felicia & sister Rayla were saved from a high kill shelter as puppies on NOVEMBER 9, 2024 and have been in foster ever since. There has been zero interest in these wonderful girls, who now have been in foster the majority of their young lives. When Felicia first came to us, she was scared of people but has come out of her shell so much thanks to her patient and persistent foster. Now she is curious, friendly, confident and does very well at Petco adoption events! She & Rayla are a joy to watch zooming around the yard, being goofy and wearing each other out. Inside they play together until tired, then will curl up and take a nap. Rayla and Felicia are looking for their forever home! They have been together in foster for so long at this point, we really think they would be best going to a home together, they seem happily bonded. If you have space for 2.. they will bring the entertainment and cuddles! Some pictures make them look large but both are small/medium size adult dogs 30-35 lbs., crate trained, house trained and spayed.  Link to her sister Rayla's page: https://lastchancepetrescueinc.rescuegroups.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=21068147   Please contact us with any questions! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rayla & sister Felicia were saved from a high kill shelter as puppies on NOVEMBER 9, 2024 and have been in foster ever since. There has been zero interest in these wonderful girls, who now have been in foster the majority of their young lives. Like a lot of us.. public places are stressful and anxiety-inducing for Rayla. She doesn't show well (or at all if she's hiding under a chair) at adoption events and she can be timid and fearful with men. However, once she's back in her comfort zone her real personality comes out and she is a completely different dog. If you had a chandelier and she could reach it.. she'd be swinging from it!  Ok, that's an exaggeration, but she does make sure to show you how much she appreciates you by full body wags, and presenting you with her belly to rub, you're welcome. She's one of those dogs that just has a happy & upbeat vibe with a full body wiggle. See that adoring look.. that's all for you.  <3 Aside from public events, not much seems to dull this girl's spark. Rayla has an old injury that according to the vets likely happened when she was a puppy. Unfortunately it has healed in the wrong position and in order to 'fix' it, she would have to have an invasive surgery or full amputation that could be more traumatic than necessary. While it looks a little awkward, she doesn't seem to be in any pain. She still uses the leg for stabilization when running and playing with her sister, but doesn't rely on it. Rayla and Felicia are looking for their forever home! They have been together in foster for so long and they play so well together, we really think they would be best going to a home together.  they seem to be happily bonded. Story
This handsome 4.5 month old puppster is called Boy George and he is what you would call….a character.  A Border Collie mix puppy who is smart and mischievous and a leader in life.  He was born in a litter of 8 puppies around the middle of October and he was the biggest kid in the bunch. He is laidback yet very much an involved pup when it comes to creating dog events that are fun and inquisitive.  He is one that doesn’t back down because he knows that he can win the challenge with his tenacity.  Boy George has conquered all the obligations in his life to learn about housebreaking, crate time and how to walk on a leash with at least a B- rating.  Practice will make perfect when in a family that has more one on one time for him.  He is going to be a 55 pound boy once he is grown.  His Mom is Blue Eyed Kaye and she is a wonderful girl with a happy demeanor and has certainly passed it along to all her sweet offspring.  Boy George is a good pup but he is looking for an even smarter owner that will figure him out before he slips one in on you. He is loving and can be an attention grabber because when you are raised in a pack of 8 siblings, you kind of crave some private time for yourself.  Boy George will be a fun pup to raise and one that will excel at puppy training classes.  At 18 weeks of age and 32 pounds, he is a great size to take on car rides, walks on a trail or  your local neighborhood.  He will welcome new dogs and people to meet and did we mention that he LOVES CATS!   To our Boy George they are just another friend in life!   We will require a home with a securely fenced yard so that this boy can explore and hang out in the great outdoors/backyard.  He is not a digger and he is not a fence climber.  But he is a dog that requires the stimulation both physically and mentally every day.  Teach him things and he will make you a proud dog owner. Someone is looking for a dog like this.  Maybe an only dog in the home or just a great addition because he will be play buddies with anyone.  But always know that you must be the leader of your pack and Boy George.  He craves the boundaries and rules.  He thrives best not having his way and is so moldable.  If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Mention where you live, city and state.  Transport is available to the northeast outside of Tennessee where he is being fostered PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.April 22, 2025, 3:33 pm

Story
We are delighted to say that during this beautiful season of renewal and friendship and family bonding, we have 8 precious little Border Collie/Aussie mix puppies that are looking for a fresh and forever start to their life. Born about the middle of October to a beautiful Aussie mix mom, these babies were fortunately taken in by a senior couple who nurtured them for 7 weeks.  Now these precious beauties are in individual foster homes and learning so much as they grow.  5 boys and 3 girls.  They are handled and cuddled so much!  No fear issues have touched their spirit!   Mom is a 45 pound white and black beauty and we expect each of these smart pups to be in the 45-50 pound range as an adult.  If you were interested in adopting, please right to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Meet Cooper! Cooper, formerly known as Oxford, is looking for his perfect family. Cooper is a handsome border collie mix who was born in December of 2024, meaning he's got a long life of playtimes ahead of him! We originally met him when he was only a couple of months old, and he stole the hearts of a wonderful family who promptly adopted him and took him home. They gave Cooper a loving home and everything a dog could wish for for several months, but tragically when he was around 10 months old unforseen circumstanced occured and they decided it was best for Cooper to return to us and find a new family. Thanks to Cooper's loving former family, we know lots of things about what makes him tick. Here are some of the things they informed us about Cooper: "Cooper loves attention and likes to be near you. He likes having his neck and his back near his tail scratched. When he gets in bed, he loves to lay his head on the pillow next to you and cuddle up with you, he's very gentle and loving. He sits and lays down when told, and will go to the door and bark or sniff when he needs to go potty. He can have some nervousness when he's left alone, and has been known to chase his own shadow. Cooper has a love/hate relationship with baths, he loves the scrubbing phase, but is not a fan of the water being poured on him. He does well on a leash, but will get excited and pull to greet other animals. He also loves car rides!"  Cooper has been nothing but a sweetie in his time here with us, too. He has gotten along great with every dog we've introduced him to, and we think he'd make a great brother to a furry sibling! Like your typical border collie, Cooper has a very high drive to play, and we think that he would be well suited to a home with some energy and maybe some kids to keep him entertained! Cooper is fully vetted and microchipped. If you already have any other dogs, be sure to bring them along for the required meet and greet prior to adoption. Interested?
