This handsome 4.5 month old puppster is called Boy George and he is what you would call….a character.  A Border Collie mix puppy who is smart and mischievous and a leader in life.  He was born in a litter of 8 puppies around the middle of October and he was the biggest kid in the bunch. He is laidback yet very much an involved pup when it comes to creating dog events that are fun and inquisitive.  He is one that doesn’t back down because he knows that he can win the challenge with his tenacity.  Boy George has conquered all the obligations in his life to learn about housebreaking, crate time and how to walk on a leash with at least a B- rating.  Practice will make perfect when in a family that has more one on one time for him.  He is going to be a 55 pound boy once he is grown.  His Mom is Blue Eyed Kaye and she is a wonderful girl with a happy demeanor and has certainly passed it along to all her sweet offspring.  Boy George is a good pup but he is looking for an even smarter owner that will figure him out before he slips one in on you. He is loving and can be an attention grabber because when you are raised in a pack of 8 siblings, you kind of crave some private time for yourself.  Boy George will be a fun pup to raise and one that will excel at puppy training classes.  At 18 weeks of age and 32 pounds, he is a great size to take on car rides, walks on a trail or  your local neighborhood.  He will welcome new dogs and people to meet and did we mention that he LOVES CATS!   To our Boy George they are just another friend in life!   We will require a home with a securely fenced yard so that this boy can explore and hang out in the great outdoors/backyard.  He is not a digger and he is not a fence climber.  But he is a dog that requires the stimulation both physically and mentally every day.  Teach him things and he will make you a proud dog owner.   Meet Artsy Marcy – A Survivor with a Brilliant Mind and an Even Bigger Heart     Artsy Marcy is a beautiful Border Collie mix, around 2 years old and weighing 55–60 pounds. Her life began with unimaginable hardship, yet she has never let her past define her. It is believed that Marcy and her siblings were abandoned in a remote rural area of Tennessee. While trying to survive on their own, tragedy struck when they were hit by a train. Her sister did not survive, and Marcy was left with a severely dislocated hip. Thanks to a compassionate foster who refused to give up on her, Marcy received the surgery and care she desperately needed. Today she has only a slight limp—a small reminder of just how far she has come.     Marcy is everything you would expect from a Border Collie mix: incredibly intelligent, observant, athletic, and eager to be part of whatever her people are doing. She loves hiking, exploring, and would thrive in an active home where she can exercise both her body and her mind. She has a natural herding instinct and enjoys having a job or purpose.   She is wonderful with people and genuinely enjoys human companionship. While she may be a little shy during first introductions, she warms up quickly and forms strong, loyal bonds. Once she trusts you, she is affectionate, devoted, and eager to please.     Marcy has lived around cats, but she does have a prey drive, so any home with cats should be experienced and committed to proper introductions and management.   Richie ' Sambora ' is what this Border Collie mix puppy should be called because he is so handsome and extra charming.  Born around April 1st, 5 months ago from 9/1, his mom was a 40 pound girl with 4 puppies who were all left outside in the harsh heat while their owner went on vacation.  No food, no water was left behind.  Soon Animal Control was there to take the sweet dogs in to the shelter for relief and care. Richie is 25 pounds and a very special boy.  He has very special eye coloring that gives him two different colored eyes that make him absolutely unforgettable.  This boy Richie has already figured out that those beautiful eyes have a way of melting hearts.  Look out ladies, this handsome boy knows exactly how to turn on the charm and if he played guitar like Sambora does with Bon Jovi, he would be dangerous. We are delighted to say that during this beautiful season of renewal and friendship and family bonding, we have 8 precious little Border Collie/Aussie mix puppies that are looking for a fresh and forever start to their life. This is George. He is a loving, cuddly and sweet 5 year old, 50lb collie mix. I adopted him from the shelter 4 years ago. He has been a great companion and joy! Unfortunately due to an unknown traumatic past before the shelter, he has some quirks that make it difficult to live in a home with men and children. Due to this I am looking to find George a new loving home that will give him the life he deserves.  He is great with routine! He is very nervous and hesitant with new situations and people. However, he quickly adapts once he knows he is safe. When he is comfortable he is the most loving and sweet boy you could ever ask for. He is a quick learner and picks up on commands after a couple practices.  He loves a comfy bed with lots of blankets, butt scratches, tummy rubs, new squeaky toys, peanut butter and Nylabones! He loves to play in the yard and chase after tennis balls, squirrels and birds.  He would love a home with a steady routine and not too many new people around.

She’s incredibly smart and athletic. She does well on a leash, loves car rides and already knows basic commands like sit, stay, shake, down and come. She would thrive with an active family that enjoys keeping both her mind and body busy.   Pipa’s most favorite thing is being with her people. She’ll happily follow you from room to room, making sure she never misses out on the action. She also loves her toys and spending time exploring outside.   She has been well-socialized and does great with all dogs. She loves all people as well. She can be a bit mouthy when excited, so she should be watched around small children. Her fosters have been working with her, and she is improving in this area every day!   She’s already sleeping through the night in her crate like a champ! House training is still a work in progress. However, she can be crated during the day and at night with no accidents. While she does not yet alert you when she needs to go out, she will go days at a time with no accidents if taken out frequently. She will need a family willing to continue helping her learn with patience and consistency.   If you’re looking for a clever, loyal companion with lots of personality, Pippa is for sure your perfect match!   When we tell the story of  Mika, we have chosen to leave out the harsh details of the neglect and dirty conditions that she lived in.  Suffice to say it was disturbing to view. She was rescued alongside her sister, Millicent  who endured the same harsh living conditions. Despite a history of being mistreated and neglected, Mika the 18 month old, 52 pound  Aussie/Hound mix girl has a heart of gold and has shown zero resentment. She has spent the last few weeks learning what it means to be safe, clean, and cared for, and she has taken to her new life with total grace. Personality: Calm, affectionate, and steady. Mika is the definition of a sweetheart. She has a gentle, low-key temperament that makes her a perfect fit for a family looking for a more relaxed companion. She is fantastic with kids and simply wants to be where the love is. While she hasn't quite figured out what to do with toys yet, she is incredibly food-motivated, which has made her recent leash training a breeze! Mika is a polite listener who comes when called and is eager to please. She would be a wonderful addition to a home that values cuddles and a steady presence. The family caring for this litter of puppies has done all the right things for them.   They are dewormed and receiving parvo distemper shots and will be spayed on 9/10.  Two girls and one boy named Benny are all looking for their forever homes.  Sweet Tilly is just the nicest and easiest dog you could ever meet.   She loves all other animals that she meets and in her foster home she is around cats, donkeys, horses, a pot belly pig, other dogs of all sizes and ages and also the sweet young grandchildren of her foster mom.   This girl never has anything but love with every step she takes in life.  A smile, a contagious joy and a vibrant zest for life that propels her through the day with energy that is easy to be around and makes a smile come to your face.
