This handsome 4.5 month old puppster is called Boy George and he is what you would call….a character.  A Border Collie mix puppy who is smart and mischievous and a leader in life.  He was born in a litter of 8 puppies around the middle of October and he was the biggest kid in the bunch. He is laidback yet very much an involved pup when it comes to creating dog events that are fun and inquisitive.  He is one that doesn’t back down because he knows that he can win the challenge with his tenacity.  Boy George has conquered all the obligations in his life to learn about housebreaking, crate time and how to walk on a leash with at least a B- rating.  Practice will make perfect when in a family that has more one on one time for him.  He is going to be a 55 pound boy once he is grown.  His Mom is Blue Eyed Kaye and she is a wonderful girl with a happy demeanor and has certainly passed it along to all her sweet offspring.  Boy George is a good pup but he is looking for an even smarter owner that will figure him out before he slips one in on you. He is loving and can be an attention grabber because when you are raised in a pack of 8 siblings, you kind of crave some private time for yourself.  Boy George will be a fun pup to raise and one that will excel at puppy training classes.  At 18 weeks of age and 32 pounds, he is a great size to take on car rides, walks on a trail or  your local neighborhood.  He will welcome new dogs and people to meet and did we mention that he LOVES CATS!   To our Boy George they are just another friend in life!   We will require a home with a securely fenced yard so that this boy can explore and hang out in the great outdoors/backyard.  He is not a digger and he is not a fence climber.  But he is a dog that requires the stimulation both physically and mentally every day.  Teach him things and he will make you a proud dog owner. We are delighted to say that during this beautiful season of renewal and friendship and family bonding, we have 8 precious little Border Collie/Aussie mix puppies that are looking for a fresh and forever start to their life. This is George. He is a loving, cuddly and sweet 5 year old, 50lb collie mix. I adopted him from the shelter 4 years ago. He has been a great companion and joy! Unfortunately due to an unknown traumatic past before the shelter, he has some quirks that make it difficult to live in a home with men and children. Due to this I am looking to find George a new loving home that will give him the life he deserves.  He is great with routine! He is very nervous and hesitant with new situations and people. However, he quickly adapts once he knows he is safe. When he is comfortable he is the most loving and sweet boy you could ever ask for. He is a quick learner and picks up on commands after a couple practices.  He loves a comfy bed with lots of blankets, butt scratches, tummy rubs, new squeaky toys, peanut butter and Nylabones! He loves to play in the yard and chase after tennis balls, squirrels and birds.  He would love a home with a steady routine and not too many new people around.

This young senior girl is looking for a new home through no fault of her own because her natural herding instincts have taken over and she is chasing the chickens at her former home.  Apparently eggs are more important than sweet Marley.   This girl at 8 years is not too big and just 45 pounds and has lived with another dog during her life and also cats.  Chickens are different for dogs and so she is looking for a new place to live.  Marley is is fully house trained and potty trained, She loves riding in a car and enjoys watching the scenery go by as she rides shotgun. While Marley has a few years behind her she has so many more ahead of her. Story
  Nola is one of those strikingly beautiful dogs that creates an emotion of wanting to hug her, pet her and to get to know her.  She makes it easy for all humans to approach her and become friends.  This 2 year old Aussie Mix girl weights 77 pounds and she is a girl who makes herself right at home when she knows she is invited to stay.  She was found as a stray in a small town in rural Tennessee and no history is known of her past.  As she stayed at the small shelter for a month (summers are brutal in this small town with few adopting visitors) she exhibited no tension from all the drama and barking that surrounded her from other dogs.  Shelters are stressful but Nola stayed calm as a summer cucumber!  She is a girl that needs some polishing.  She is pretty much housebroken but need to know the lay of a home and the schedule that she will need to go out for potty breaks.  She is easy to enjoy and have around.   When we tell the story of  Mika, we have chosen to leave out the harsh details of the neglect and dirty conditions that she lived in.  Suffice to say it was disturbing to view. She was rescued alongside her sister, Millicent  who endured the same harsh living conditions. Despite a history of being mistreated and neglected, Mika the 18 month old, 52 pound  Aussie/Hound mix girl has a heart of gold and has shown zero resentment. She has spent the last few weeks learning what it means to be safe, clean, and cared for, and she has taken to her new life with total grace. Personality: Calm, affectionate, and steady. Mika is the definition of a sweetheart. She has a gentle, low-key temperament that makes her a perfect fit for a family looking for a more relaxed companion. She is fantastic with kids and simply wants to be where the love is. While she hasn't quite figured out what to do with toys yet, she is incredibly food-motivated, which has made her recent leash training a breeze! Mika is a polite listener who comes when called and is eager to please. She would be a wonderful addition to a home that values cuddles and a steady presence. She is ready to trade her rescue status for a lifetime of treats and affection. Best Skills: Calm demeanor, highly food-motivated (easy to train!), great listener, and kid-friendly.
