Story
This handsome 4.5 month old puppster is called Boy George and he is what you would call….a character.  A Border Collie mix puppy who is smart and mischievous and a leader in life.  He was born in a litter of 8 puppies around the middle of October and he was the biggest kid in the bunch. He is laidback yet very much an involved pup when it comes to creating dog events that are fun and inquisitive.  He is one that doesn’t back down because he knows that he can win the challenge with his tenacity.  Boy George has conquered all the obligations in his life to learn about housebreaking, crate time and how to walk on a leash with at least a B- rating.  Practice will make perfect when in a family that has more one on one time for him.  He is going to be a 55 pound boy once he is grown.  His Mom is Blue Eyed Kaye and she is a wonderful girl with a happy demeanor and has certainly passed it along to all her sweet offspring.  Boy George is a good pup but he is looking for an even smarter owner that will figure him out before he slips one in on you. He is loving and can be an attention grabber because when you are raised in a pack of 8 siblings, you kind of crave some private time for yourself.  Boy George will be a fun pup to raise and one that will excel at puppy training classes.  At 18 weeks of age and 32 pounds, he is a great size to take on car rides, walks on a trail or  your local neighborhood.  He will welcome new dogs and people to meet and did we mention that he LOVES CATS!   To our Boy George they are just another friend in life!   We will require a home with a securely fenced yard so that this boy can explore and hang out in the great outdoors/backyard.  He is not a digger and he is not a fence climber.  But he is a dog that requires the stimulation both physically and mentally every day.  Teach him things and he will make you a proud dog owner. Someone is looking for a dog like this.  Maybe an only dog in the home or just a great addition because he will be play buddies with anyone.  But always know that you must be the leader of your pack and Boy George.  He craves the boundaries and rules.  He thrives best not having his way and is so moldable.  If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Mention where you live, city and state.  Transport is available to the northeast outside of Tennessee where he is being fostered PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption. We are delighted to say that during this beautiful season of renewal and friendship and family bonding, we have 8 precious little Border Collie/Aussie mix puppies that are looking for a fresh and forever start to their life. Born about the middle of October to a beautiful Aussie mix mom, these babies were fortunately taken in by a senior couple who nurtured them for 7 weeks.  Now these precious beauties are in individual foster homes and learning so much as they grow.  5 boys and 3 girls.  They are handled and cuddled so much!  No fear issues have touched their spirit!   Mom is a 45 pound white and black beauty and we expect each of these smart pups to be in the 45-50 pound range as an adult.  If you were interested in adopting, please right to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
This is George. He is a loving, cuddly and sweet 5 year old, 50lb collie mix. I adopted him from the shelter 4 years ago. He has been a great companion and joy! Unfortunately due to an unknown traumatic past before the shelter, he has some quirks that make it difficult to live in a home with men and children. Due to this I am looking to find George a new loving home that will give him the life he deserves.  He is great with routine! He is very nervous and hesitant with new situations and people. However, he quickly adapts once he knows he is safe. When he is comfortable he is the most loving and sweet boy you could ever ask for. He is a quick learner and picks up on commands after a couple practices.  He loves a comfy bed with lots of blankets, butt scratches, tummy rubs, new squeaky toys, peanut butter and Nylabones! He loves to play in the yard and chase after tennis balls, squirrels and birds.  He would love a home with a steady routine and not too many new people around.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Michael Faith! Michael Faith came to us after we took a leap of faith ourselves. We were contacted about several dogs in need of rescue who were living outdoors with very little shelter during a period of torrential rain and severe storms. Thankfully, Michael is now safe, thriving, and ready to find a loving family of his own. At just 2 years old and 20 pounds, Michael is a charming Border Collie mix with a gentle heart and an easygoing personality. He walks beautifully on a leash, rides wonderfully in the car, and loves spending quality time with his people. While he's generally calm and relaxed, Michael occasionally breaks into joyful zoomies that showcase his fun-loving side! Michael gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with his canine friends. Whether he's joining you for an adventure or simply relaxing by your side, he's the kind of companion who brings a peaceful, happy presence wherever he goes.   Medical Notes: Neutered Vaccinated Microchipped Heartworm Negative Maintained on monthly preventatives        APPLY HERE Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 24, 2026, 6:16 pm

Story
Our happy, soft coated fluffy girl puppy is called Patty Pro Bono and the shelter who took in the litter of Great Pyr and Australian Shepherd pups named the litter after the Lawyer who brought them in to find homes.  The lawyer's female Great Pyr  had the accidental litter on 2/26/26 and brought them in the first of last of April to find them homes. When you first meet Patty you are ready to hug her and reassure her that she will find a great family very soon.  She is happy, well adjusted and has one of those easy going personalities that is bright and upbeat.  She is a curious girl and not as big as some of her littermates that take after the Great Pyr.  Patty takes after the size of her dad who is an Australian Shepherd.  At just 15 weeks she weighs 21 pounds and is destined to be a 50 pound adult that will be fluffy and gorgeous like an Australian Shepherd, and will carry the energy and intelligence of the breed.  Patty and her litter had spent the past  4 weeks with no adoptions happening.  It was a small town shelter.  The Director started making calls and pleas to rescues and Critter Cavalry Rescue could not resist helping this beautiful litter of 6 puppies.   They needed foster care and comfort from a foster family who can show them love and training.  This incredibly beautiful  girl has done so well with other dogs and with young children.  She is just a sweetheart and is quickly learning about crate training and is on a schedule to go out for potty breaks. We want this girl to grow up successfully in a fenced yard and to learn leash manners right away.  She loves to sleep most of the night in her puppy bed on the floor by the bed.  Patty Pro Bono is more than just beautiful - she is a thoughtful girl that is sensitive and quiet.  She would lay by your feet while you work all day long.  She loves to run and romp in the yard and this is why we are looking for a family with a fence.  She is a smart, observant puppy who takes in the world around her and responds with curiosity and heart. She adores snuggling with her  foster mom and happily soaks up attention, pets, and love from everyone she meets. Watching her romp around with joyful zoomies is pure happiness in motion.    ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.June 24, 2026, 3:14 pm

Story
When we tell the story of  Mika, we have chosen to leave out the harsh details of the neglect and dirty conditions that she lived in.  Suffice to say it was disturbing to view. She was rescued alongside her sister, Millicent  who endured the same harsh living conditions. Despite a history of being mistreated and neglected, Mika the 18 month old, 52 pound  Aussie/Hound mix girl has a heart of gold and has shown zero resentment. She has spent the last few weeks learning what it means to be safe, clean, and cared for, and she has taken to her new life with total grace. Personality: Calm, affectionate, and steady. Mika is the definition of a sweetheart. She has a gentle, low-key temperament that makes her a perfect fit for a family looking for a more relaxed companion. She is fantastic with kids and simply wants to be where the love is. While she hasn't quite figured out what to do with toys yet, she is incredibly food-motivated, which has made her recent leash training a breeze! Mika is a polite listener who comes when called and is eager to please. She would be a wonderful addition to a home that values cuddles and a steady presence. She is ready to trade her rescue status for a lifetime of treats and affection. Best Skills: Calm demeanor, highly food-motivated (easy to train!), great listener, and kid-friendly. Ideal Home: A loving family that enjoys a peaceful pace and plenty of bonding time. Mika is ready for a new and fresh reset to her life.  She is ready to leave the hard past behind and only look ahead.  She is in Nashville, TN but can be transported to the northeastern states that the transport van visits and stops in.   Critter Cavalry Rescue would love to hear from you at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   We stand behind this girl being one of the best dogs you could ever call your very own.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Meet Milo Milo is a handsome Australian Shepherd mix who is about 8 months old and weighs 32 pounds. Behind those beautiful eyes is a story of survival, kindness, and a second chance. Sometimes it feels like special dogs find exactly the right people when they need them most. Milo and his sister, Millie, were abandoned and left to fend for themselves along a local Greenway. Thankfully, fate stepped in when his foster mom, Kayla, crossed paths with Millie and learned there was another frightened puppy hiding nearby. For three days, Milo stayed just out of reach, taking shelter in a drainage ditch and avoiding people. When he was finally caught and brought to safety, he was covered in fleas and ticks and understandably scared of the world around him. Today, Milo is discovering what it means to be loved. While he can still be timid around loud noises and unfamiliar situations, he warms up quickly and simply wants to be close to his people. Every day his confidence grows a little more as he learns that he is finally safe. He is wonderful with young children, gets along well with cats, and does great with other dogs. Like most puppies his age, Milo enjoys chewing, so he happily keeps himself entertained with his favorite chew toys. He is also making great progress with potty training and learning all the skills he needs to become an amazing family companion.  Because of his gentle and affectionate personality, Milo would thrive in a home with another friendly dog and a family that can give him plenty of companionship. He doesn’t enjoy being alone for long periods and would do best with someone who is home often or has a flexible schedule. He prefers to eat his meals separately from other dogs, but otherwise enjoys canine company and seems happiest when he has a furry friend nearby. Milo has overcome so much in his young life, and now all he needs is a family to show him that he will never be abandoned again. If you would like to give this deserving boy the forever home he has been waiting for, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Milo is ready to leave his days of uncertainty behind and start the next chapter of his life with a family of his very own.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
