Hi there!! My name is Oliver - The name Oliver is derived from the old Norse name âÂÂÃÂleifr, meaning 'ancestor's descendant.' The most common nickname for Oliver is Ollie. I LOVE to be called Ollie...well that's what my photographer likes to call me anyway ;) So I used to belong to an awesome member of our wonderful military. He got me as a pup. After awhile like many of our wonderful soldiers, he was deployed and unable to care for me anymore. He found someone to adopt me, but that didn't work out either. I was abandoned and left alone to care for myself. I sure was missing my soldier :( So now I'm here at Lucies and making friends fast! These volunteers are absolutely amazing. Most of the dogs here are as well. Our pack leader KJ, usually keeps most of us in line ;) I'm now ready for a PERMANENT home of my own. After being left twice, I'm afraid no one wants me. I was abandoned and finally picked up by the PoPo when I was found roaming the streets. A nice police officer assumed a not so happy fate for me, so he decided to take me into his home for safe keeping until I could be turned over to Lucies. That day finally arrived!! I am here and meeting kinds of new friends and learning all kinds of new things. The peeps here are super duper nice and sweet, and they always have treats in their pockets. Can you believe that??!!! Now that I've been here a bit, I've seen a few doggies go and more come! While that saddens me to lose a friend, it also makes me happy to have new ones.
