Story
Meet Henry! He’s a loveable, 76lb, neutered male, border collie mix who is about 3-5 years old. He loves going on walks, exploring in his yard, cuddling with his people, and is shameless about asking to be petted with a head nudge. He knows basic commands (sit, shake, down), enjoys his kennel, and is house trained. While he is fostered in a home without other pets or children, he has interreacted well with other dogs and would be best with older children. He is not bothered by loud noises, but he is cautious about new things, new people, and the dark. Henry is ready to find his forever home! Applications at bigloverescue.org.

Story
Meet Two-face, the dynamic canine fusion of a Border Collie and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, whose striking black coat with a crisp white chest makes heads turn wherever he bounds. At just two years old, Two-face is a whirlwind of energy, perpetually on the move and ready to take on the world, especially if it involves chasing his feathered friends. This lovable lad has a flair for communication, often expressing his opinions with an array of barks, yips, and howls that can be heard echoing through the neighborhood. While he may not be the biggest fan of his fellow males, Two-face's heart is as big as his boundless enthusiasm for life, making him the ultimate companion for those who love a mix of mischief and loyalty.

Story
Lucy was found as a stray in a beautiful wooded neighborhood in NW Houston, likely dumped. This is unfortunately a common occurrence in this area. Lucy may be a purebred dog but we have no way to confirm this. She is a Smooth Coated Border Collie. Her age is also in question, so we are guessing she is about 5-6 years old. Lucy comes from a working breed and lives up to this reputation. She is not a dog companion. She does however like to keep all the dogs in the household in line. Lucy is a low energy dog enjoying lounging in her favorite spots on the stair landing or in front of the window where she can monitor all activity inside and outside. Other things she really enjoys are her daily walks (verbalizing her excitement), watching tv with you (and getting a back scratch), and crawling in bed in the morning to say hello. Lucy is very loving and affectionate, and would do really well as an only dog to a person or family with no small children. She does not mind children, but has a delicate back leg that should not be climbed on. She has been on a good joint supplement for this and it should be continued. Lucy is raw fed and has blossomed on this protocol. It helps her joint issue and keeps shedding from her silky coat to a minimum. We are looking for adopters that would continue this diet. She is house trained and extremely reliable. Lucy does not chew or destroy items left out. She is HW negative, spayed and up to date on her rabies vaccine. Please contact Kelly at No One's Dog Rescue to meet Lucy or for more information on this sweet girl.

Story
Harley knows where to find a bargain. She was found at a Walmart and isn't telling anyone what her real name is. It's definitely not Harley. She was invited to stay with her finder for a whole month and she impressed him with how fast she runs. She's like the wind! She also likes playing fetch with tennis balls, agility, and car rides. She was around children as young as 12 and loves to play with them. She is friendly and loves to be petted. She is affectionate and likes sitting on any available lap. She weighs 27 pounds and won't get much bigger. She likes leading the way while on a leash. We don't know if she is house trained because she stayed outside. Please be patient if you need to teach her. She is moderately active and only got into trouble for digging and racing out the door. She is picky about her animal friends. If you have a dog, you should bring it to meet her because she plays rough and is possessive of her food. She refuses to live with a cat. She knows the sit come, down, and shake commands. She is afraid of water and strangers. Strangers bearing water are particularly scary. She is protective of her family. She sleeps well in a crate but might bark a bit when first inside. She is needy, excitable and totally lovable. Please offer Harley the home and family she deserves. (tw 5/7/2024)
