Story
Lucy was found as a stray in a beautiful wooded neighborhood in NW Houston, likely dumped. This is unfortunately a common occurrence in this area. Lucy may be a purebred dog but we have no way to confirm this. She is a Smooth Coated Border Collie. Her age is also in question, so we are guessing she is about 5-6 years old. Lucy comes from a working breed and lives up to this reputation. She is not a dog companion. She does however like to keep all the dogs in the household in line. Lucy is a low energy dog enjoying lounging in her favorite spots on the stair landing or in front of the window where she can monitor all activity inside and outside. Other things she really enjoys are her daily walks (verbalizing her excitement), watching tv with you (and getting a back scratch), and crawling in bed in the morning to say hello. Lucy is very loving and affectionate, and would do really well as an only dog to a person or family with no small children. She does not mind children, but has a delicate back leg that should not be climbed on. She has been on a good joint supplement for this and it should be continued. Lucy is raw fed and has blossomed on this protocol. It helps her joint issue and keeps shedding from her silky coat to a minimum. We are looking for adopters that would continue this diet. She is house trained and extremely reliable. Lucy does not chew or destroy items left out. She is HW negative, spayed and up to date on her rabies vaccine. Please contact Kelly at No One's Dog Rescue to meet Lucy or for more information on this sweet girl.

Story
Meela has been my fur daughter and sister to my kids since she was 6 weeks old given to us by a neighbor. Meela is now 5. Meela is obedient, loving, curious, laid back, she loves being outside and interacting with other dogs however, I am not certain about cats. She can be dominant in a protective way (she will not bite) she warns people. Meela speaks when she wants or is in need of something. Meela's commands are sit, lay, stay, and paw (with treats). We are hoping to find meela a stable and animal loving home with a yard. She loves chasing birds, exploring and running (with me) so having a yard is important. We look for a patient family. She helped my daughter who suffered from depression by giving her comfort and myself after surgery. We love Meela but due to my current medical condition, we can no longer care for her the way she deserves to be cared for. We are saddened and heart broken to do this but we have no other option. Story
Meet Henry! He’s a loveable, 76lb, neutered male, border collie mix who is about 3-5 years old. He loves going on walks, exploring in his yard, cuddling with his people, and is shameless about asking to be petted with a head nudge. He knows basic commands (sit, shake, down), enjoys his kennel, and is house trained. While he is fostered in a home without other pets or children, he has interreacted well with other dogs and would be best with older children. He is not bothered by loud noises, but he is cautious about new things, new people, and the dark. Henry is ready to find his forever home! Applications at bigloverescue.org.

Story
Hi :) this wonderful girl is the absolute sweetest. She was found in the woods by some girls who abandoned her at the dog park we were at. We were contemplating keeping her because of how sweet she is when our schedule changed and we just don't have the time to give her what she deserves right now. She will make such a great family dog or add some protection to anyone living solo. She already knows some basic commands and has almost all of her shots she just needs the last round. She's a very good dog and we're looking for a nice home for her, she deserves it.

Story
Hello, future family! I'm Daisy Mae, a large and lovable black dog with a heart as vast as my midnight-hued coat. I've been patiently waiting for 507 days to find my forever home, and I believe this Christmas could be the one where I finally get to spend my days surrounded by love and warmth. About Me:I'm a gentle giant, known for my soulful eyes and an unwavering spirit. Typical to my shepherd lineage I can be wary of strangers, but, once I know, you are my person I love with my whole being. Despite my 507 days spent at the shelter, I've never lost hope that the right family will come along and see the joy I can bring to their lives. I'm well-behaved, house-trained, and ready to share my love with someone special. My Christmas Wish List:To make my time at the shelter brighter, I've curated an Amazon wish list filled with items that would add a touch of festive cheer to my days. If you're feeling extra generous this holiday season, consider checking out my list and making my Christmas dreams come true. It's not just about the gifts; it's about the love and thoughtfulness behind them. https://a.co/fH47PqL How You Can Help:If you're not in a position to adopt right now, you can still be a part of my journey by contributing to my Amazon wish list or sharing my story. Your kindness could make this Christmas one to remember.  Adoption Details:Ready to make my dreams come true? Just fill out the no obligation, application to schedule a meet-and-greet.  ##1560455##
