Story
Lucy was found as a stray in a beautiful wooded neighborhood in NW Houston, likely dumped. This is unfortunately a common occurrence in this area. Lucy may be a purebred dog but we have no way to confirm this. She is a Smooth Coated Border Collie. Her age is also in question, so we are guessing she is about 5-6 years old. Lucy comes from a working breed and lives up to this reputation. She is not a dog companion. She does however like to keep all the dogs in the household in line. Lucy is a low energy dog enjoying lounging in her favorite spots on the stair landing or in front of the window where she can monitor all activity inside and outside. Other things she really enjoys are her daily walks (verbalizing her excitement), watching tv with you (and getting a back scratch), and crawling in bed in the morning to say hello. Lucy is very loving and affectionate, and would do really well as an only dog to a person or family with no small children. She does not mind children, but has a delicate back leg that should not be climbed on. She has been on a good joint supplement for this and it should be continued. Lucy is raw fed and has blossomed on this protocol. It helps her joint issue and keeps shedding from her silky coat to a minimum. We are looking for adopters that would continue this diet. She is house trained and extremely reliable. Lucy does not chew or destroy items left out. She is HW negative, spayed and up to date on her rabies vaccine. Please contact Kelly at No One's Dog Rescue to meet Lucy or for more information on this sweet girl.

Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Meet Petunia! Blooming into the cutest and sweetest pup is the one and only Petunia. Petunia was rescued off the street and brought into our care, where she is now blossoming into a cute but daring pup. Petunia showcases a black-and-white coat with pointy ears to match. She is a puppy who loves to play with stuffies and rubber toys, and she can be sneaky, as she likes to hide them around her kennel or yard. While she doesn’t run around much here at the rescue, she would most likely love to play and explore in a home environment. Petunia loves affection, and she loves to give affection back. She can also be a little daring at times, as puppies often are, but she only needs a little guidance to learn the do’s and don’ts. Petunia is a young pup looking for the right person to teach her the ropes of puppy stardom. Are you willing to teach this sweet pup *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $275 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!

Story
I rescued Maggie in August as a puppy. She became very active and playful. She adjusted to our home quick. My husband and I are retired. We live in a small home with no backyard because of a swimming pool. Therefore, she really has no where to run and play outside. I started the process of trying to house train her, but it has been a struggle because of the lack of yard. She is very playful and aggressive, but not meaning to hurt. I haven’t been able to get her out of this pattern, she chews constantly on things she shouldn’t even though I have plenty of toys and chew bones.Because we were right on top of the holidays, I did not have the opportunity to have any training for her. I HAVE 3 SMALL GRANDDAUGHTERS who are afraid of her and will not come to my home. It is upsetting. My husband also has physical disabilities and walks with a cane. When she is being very active there is a chance he can fall. I love Maggie but our home is just not a good fit for her. She is very loving

Story
Buccee is 6.5 yrs old with a heart and energy of a puppy! We recently moved homes, and unfortunately, there is no running space for him here. He loves playing catch, he loves chasing airplanes and birds, and playing tug-o-war. He is kennel trained and obeys well. He initially does not get a long with dogs until they get to spend more time together, and he can be a bit vocal but it may have to do with his current living space not being suitable for him and him not getting the enough exercise his breed requires.

Story
Meet my 6-year-old Border Collie/Lab mix, my pride and joy! I'm starting nursing school soon and, as much as it breaks my heart, I know I won't have the time he deserves. Ideally, I'm looking for a full adoption with who can give him the love, attention, and playtime he thrives on. He's full of energy and would do best with a family to keep him active. He's very affectionate, a little clingy, and happiest when he's close to his human. He gets along great with other dogs and children. Cats aren't his favorite, but with time and patience, he does warm up to them. He's such a sweet, loyal companion and I just want to make sure he's in a home where he can get all the care and attention he needs.
