Story
Welcome Marcos to CCPAL Rescue. Marcos is a 13-week-old Border Collie mix. He is the one in the litter that looks most like the girls in the litter. He is black white and tan and is calmer than both of the white Border Collies in this litter. The momma dog is a pure-bred Border Collie and she is a farm dog that herds goats. Marcos was born on a farm. Marcos is one of the smaller boy pups in the litter. All the boys are bigger than the girls. He and the girls are the least active pups. These pups should be 40-45 pounds full grown is our best estimate. The other parent is a mystery. The momma is a farm dog and herds the goats. Marcos has medium length coat and it is nice and soft. The pups like water, are affectionate and smart. They were good getting their bath and Marcos is quiet when you pick him up and has the most beautiful coat and eyes. He has the longer coat like the Border Collie. He is smart and will be a fun boy to train. We would like someone who has owned the working breed or a border collie. People who have had a BC do love this breed. He is good in his litter playing and is less energetic than the white boy dogs. Today he got his first round of vaccines and his Nexgard. He will then be neutered and ready for his new home. He will be loved on by the kennel workers here at the shelter until he finds his new home. He was turned in by the person that had the female mother Border Collie. These pups are precious and would be fine with children or other dogs. We like the children to be 8 or older. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See his cute video!!

Story
Meet Loki! He’s an outgoing and playful border collie who loves everyone! He came to us as an owner surrender due to a move, but he’s house trained and crate trained. He loves to play with other dogs and he loves all people. He enjoys playing fetch and going for walks. He’s super affectionate. Some of his favorite treats are frozen carrots and apples! He’s good for the groomer, but nervous of the hair dryer, so does best with a towel dry. Loki’s a ready to go dog who’s looking for an active family to enjoy life with! He’s about 4 years old and weighs around 60 pounds, but could probably lose about 10 pounds to be a healthier weight.Apply to adopt: charmingpetrescue.org/adoptIMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. ALL our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Jasper - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! The name Jasper means 'bringer of treasure'. Bringing me into your home will for sure be bringing you a treasure, as the name represents patience, faithfulness and dependability. A true treasure!! At 5 years, I had a loving home until my elderly owner had to move and the family just left me behind. I found myself in the local doggie jail thinking I'd be doing 10 to life. Luckily for me I have a guardian angel looking out for me trying to find me the perfect fur-ever home. Where faithfulness, dependability and patience are indeed considered treasures! I come in right around 40lbs which is a pawsome size for any and all your daily going on's, from leisurely walks to some nature hikes, from river excursions to trips to the park. I'm active and ready to help you experience it all!! I do well with all people and other dogs. I'm house trained and out of the puppy destructive stage. I don't need to be consistently monitored, if I'm quiet for too long, come check I'm probably taking a nap. I'd make a fabulous addition to your family even for a first time pet parent. My gorgeous shiny coat is of medium length and may require a brushing a few times a week. I will make it worth the little bit of time it takes by giving you my puppy dog eyes and seeing my happy tail a waggin'!! I'm looking to adopt me a family where I'll be your BFF, your sidekick in sharing all your daily going on's, your constant in life where I'll always be there for you!! Are you looking for a 'treasure' to complete your life? Look no further, I just may be your boy!!!

Story
This sweet face was pulled from a kill shelter with her brother on their last day. Both pups are so affectionate and snuggly. Ziggy got adopted right away but Zoey still is looking for a forever home. She loves playing with toys and giving kisses, she also likes to play in water. Zoey has lots of energy, but also loves to just chill with you, she's a ppl kind of dog, she is very smart and curious too. She appears to be house trained and crate trained. Though she came in with her brother she is really not fond of playing with other dogs but will tolerate them. If interested in meeting Zoey please email us for an application.

Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This special girl was rescued out of a greenbelt ditch with her sisters. Feral and scared to death, they were eventually caught and brought to us. Both girls would not let us touch them for the first few weeks, then progress began. Not 100% trusting of humans so a special home is needed; experienced with feral dogs, quiet, no kids, not alot of visitors or sudden changes. Reyna needs to trust her person and not be expected to be perfect. She is a flight risk. New things, new noises and people make her a uneasy. She gives great hugs and kisses to our staff but that is after 5 years of rehab. She walks well on a leash, loves other dogs, loves toys and blankets, and would love to be in a home to keep her safe. If you have the patience and love, in a non-changing environment for Reyna needs give us a call for more details.

All pups would not let us touch them for the first few weeks, then progress began. Not trusting of humans she needs a special home; experienced with feral dogs, quiet, no kids, not alot of visitors or sudden changes. Issa may never recover from the trauma she experienced in that ditch but that doesn't mean she does not deserve to find her forever home. She needs to trust her person and not be expected to be perfect, affectionate or play. She walks well on a leash, loves other dogs, loves toys, and would love to be just be a dog. If you have the patience and love Issa needs give us a call, she may never be that snuggly, go-fetch girl but she is very goofy in her own way.
