Story
Meet Chavi the tripod! Chavi is a 2 year old border collie/lab mix. She was a street rescue that had a broken front leg, heartworms AND a litter of 8 newborn puppies. Chavi was very shy when she first arrived. It took weeks for her to trust anyone. During this time Chavi was never aggressive, just very scared. But, this resilient and brave girl allowed us to help her through weaning her puppies and help her heal from her front leg amputation. Chavi is now heartworm NEGATIVE, she loves having other dog friends, and she is cat friendly. Chavi would need an experienced adopter or an adopter that understands trust must be earned. Her whole life was running from bad people, now that she is comfortable, every so often she will come up for a head pat, but always on her terms. Chavi is a house-cat of a dog! Chavi is leash trained and potty trained. She would do best in a calm home with another pet! Reach out to learn more.

Story
Alfie is current on all his shots with Kitty Hawk Veterinary Clinic. He Loves to play Frisbee using a soft disc to protect his teeth. He is loving when he is comfortable with the person or persons. He does have anxiety with loud sounds like fireworks and beeping from garbage trucks. He has one concern that is kennel aggression. He just does not like the sound of the door locking, so he growls and may turn to you. He is red/white and is sensitive on his nose to sun. He also has seasonal allergies and is currently on Prednisone. He loves to rest next to me. He is currently 52 lbs, he would do well with someone who needs companionship and medium activity.

We adopted Josie and her sister Bella after they were dumped at a construction site with 6 other siblings. Josie is a parvo survivor. Josie is definitely the alpha out of all of our dogs. They're not a bonded pair. Josie does get along with other dogs but takes a minute to warm up to them. Josie doesn't like cats at all. Josie is both house trained and crate trained. Josie has lots of energy and doesn't like to be ignored. She is very talkative and loves to go on walks.

Story
Rescued Zonzo when he was 6 months old, he was not chipped(now is) and was found wondering around a neighborhood in Houston by my aunt and then given to me and now lives in San Antonio. He is house trained but he does get very anxious in new places and sometimes will potty in a new house so he’ll need to spend some time walking around outside before he’s brought inside to avoid this, other than that he’s very good at letting you know when he needs to go. He’s two years old now birthday is around 03/01, born in 2024. He’s very playful and requires lots of walking and outside playtime. He’s got lots of energy and tends to get the zoomies if he hasn’t had adequate exercise. He knows basic tricks like shaking and “praying”. His recall is usually pretty good but could still use some work. Overall he’s a very sweet boy

Story
Denali, is a 8 year old very loving sweet girl. I am not sure on what her second breed is other than border collie. I got her when she was a puppy. Unfortunately, I can not take her with me and my parents can no longer take care of her. Denali was kennel trained, & potty trained with me. She was also an indoor dog, but currently out doors now. She does get skin allergies when the season comes, but can be controlled. She also has a mass on her right side that has been there for years but vet just suggests to leave it as it has not grown over the years and does not affect her. I would love for someone with a big heart and patience to take her for the couple of years she has left and just love and take well care of her, because she truly is the sweetest girl.

Cubow is a five year Bernese Mountain/Shepard mix female dog. She is spayed and up to date in vaccines. She is house trained and loves pets. Her previous owner moved into an apartment and was not allowed to take her with her. She asked me to care for her while she found a place for her but she couldn't and after five months we can no longer take care of her. I have four other dogs and a 7 month baby who gets his sleep disrupted with so much barking.

Story
Baby Luna.. we have loved bringing this girl into our family. We found her as a premie baby on the side of the road. I was 6 months pregnant. Since then, over a year ago, we have trained her and prepared her for her next home. She loves people and she loves to be outside. She needs more than we can give her. Having a new baby, I believe he has developed allergies to her fur. It’s been a hard decision to make because we do love her. We will be selective what home she goes to next. Requirements: yard with fence and reputable vet to be able to vouch for the care of her.

Story
Creed is: Housebroken Good with other dogs Good with cats Loves being outside and playing fetch Loves being close to his person A BIG ball of energyWould LOVE an active person/family who enjoys getting outside, playing, walking, and keeping him busyCreed currently lives in a home with a child and generally does well around her. He doesn’t bother her, jump all over her, or seek out conflict. However, Creed does have boundaries and needs those boundaries respected. Because of that, I believe he would do best with older children or children who are already comfortable around dogs and understand how to respect their space.Creed is not a couch potato all day kind of dog. He has energy to burn and would thrive with someone who wants a companion to actually DO things with. Once he’s gotten his energy out, he absolutely loves being near his person. I’m rehoming Creed because I want him in an environment that better fits his energy level and needs.Reach out to me if you’re interested!
