Story
Dearest Gentle Reader, Prepare yourselves, for the glittering tapestry of high society is about to be woven anew, and at its heart stands a lady whose presence commands our attention: the indomitable Violet (Bridgerton)! As the debutante season unfurls its petals, we find ourselves drawn to admiring this enigmatic Border Collie mix. The Bridgerton family, renowned for their striking beauty and undeniable charm, holds a prominent place in the circles of privilege. Yet, as we know, secrets lurk behind the façade of familial harmony. Could it be that the Lady of the house, the widowed Violet Bridgerton, is once again seeking love? With seven children all in the marriage market, it is no question why two-year-old Violet harbors a desire for a new connection. She is a lady of undeniable hospitality and grace, navigating the scenes of SNIPSA with limitless patience. She is a protector, a role model, and the perfect picture of beauty. Ah, but the enigma of Violet deepens. Gossip swirls like confetti at a masquerade, proclaiming her a spinster by choice, one who has valiantly waved away the advances of numerous suitors. Is it her fiery spirit that keeps potential suitors at bay, or does she await a love that burns as brightly as her own intellect? Whispers flutter that perhaps she needs a family of HUMANS – caring hands that are capable of putting this lady on the pedestal she deserves. As the anticipation of her match blossoms, we find ourselves eagerly awaiting the next chapter in Violet’s saga. If you find your heart entangled within hers, make your advances while you can. The debutante season promises more than dances and debuts—it unveils the true nature of rescue itself. Yours in speculation, Lady Whistledog

Story
Cowgirl is our sweet southern belle with a heart as big as Texas itself. This 5-year-old Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix has been through quite the journey. She arrived at SNIPSA with her rodeo of puppies, who have since all found their forever homes. Unbeknownst to us, Cowgirl was in heart failure. At first, we thought it simply might be related to her heartworm disease, and later discovered, after a series of diagnostics, that she was simply born with a crummy heart. We consulted with a cardiologist and developed a medical plan where she is being managed with medication and diuretics, and thanks to her caring foster mom, she’s doing wonderfully! In fact, she is doing so well, she has grown into her girlish figure and lives for zoomies in the backyard. She has a hearty appetite and enjoys spending time with the other resident foster dog. She has developed quite the relationship with her foster mom and follows her everywhere. Cowgirl is great with children, other dogs, and doesn’t even mind the resident cat. She may sneak a French Fry, but we aren’t getting worked up. We are just so happy she is feeling so much better!! While we understand most potential adopters will overlook this sunshiny girl, we are hanging onto hope that someone sees the hope. She may have two years or five years, we don’t have that guarantee. But we will do everything we can to ensure her care, quality of life, and hope that there is an adopter out there that sees her beauty.

This is Girl. She was given her name after she got parvo and I didn’t want to get attached in case. Then I realized it felt perfect bc of her pretty eyes. I currently have her brother and I am worried as they age they will get littermate syndrome. It’s best to rehome. I need someone with lots of patience as she is still a puppy, just bigger than most. Also lots of space as she is a herding dog. Please help me out.

Story
Billy Bob is a gentle 12-year-old Border Collie with a calm, loving spirit. Adopted as a puppy from the Animal Defense League, he has spent his life as a loyal family companion and is wonderfully well mannered. Billy is quiet and easy going; he rarely barks (usually just a soft alert when the doorbell rings) and enjoys relaxing near his people on a cozy dog bed. He has lived peacefully with other dogs and cats and is very gentle with children. Billy loves praise, kind encouragement, and the occasional treat. Short walks and time outdoors make him happy, but he is just as content relaxing in a peaceful home. He would thrive with a family who can give him companionship, a yard to enjoy, and lots of love during his sweet senior years.

Story
Shadow is 9 years old, so she is having some problems with her hips. She loves treats and sleeping. She's a good guard dog and loves belly rubs. She also loves the water and her wading pool. She's on heartworm flea meds and is current on her rabies. Loud noise, fireworks, loud cars and motorcycles makes her nervous and she'll go hide in the bathroom. She's a really good dog and she would be great in a one-dog household

Story
Well, bless your heart—you finally found me! Who’s me, you might ask? Well, I’m Miss Rae! I’m a Southern belle in San Antonio looking for my forever family. So, if you’re looking for a lady to lasso your heart, let me tell you a little bit about myself! First of all, I am perfectly mature at 6 years old, meaning no potty training! That’s right, my house manners are as mannered as they can be. I keep my crate clean, I am completely potty trained, I ride perfectly in the car, I walk beautifully on my leash, and I never bark. Think of me as an Australian Cattle Dog cheat code: my breed is typically known to be highly energetic, but I'm quite the opposite. I am a bit of a couch potato and definitely a lap dog, despite my large size. My easygoing, cheerful nature leads me to get along with everything and everyone, even kids or other pets. I am always ready to please my folks… Treats are just a yummy bonus. I would make a wonderful companion for anyone who is a first-time dog owner, or even a senior couple that wants a calm, cuddly companion. So, if you want a dog who is as sweet as sunshine, apply to take me home! I can’t wait to meet you!

Story
Meet Nova, a true survivor with the softest heart. This docile, independent girl spent months on her own after escaping her original home, surviving in a nearby neighborhood. A kind neighbor began feeding her, and though she kept her distance at first, trust slowly grew until she was finally brought to safety. Even then, she showed her sweet nature—playfully bowing from afar and following along on walks, just unsure of how to belong again. She’s incredibly smart and resilient—car-savvy and resourceful enough to dig dens to stay warm during cold snaps. Her microchip revealed she once had a home, but sadly, her owners couldn’t take her back. Now, Nova is ready for a fresh start. She’s crate trained, great with other dogs, and loves belly rubs. She enjoys both indoor and outdoor time and is learning leash skills. Like many heelers, she forms a deep bond with her person and will be your loyal shadow. And yes… she still has a love for snacks—street life taught her well. She’s done surviving—now she’s ready to be loved. Apply to meet Nova today.
