Story
One potato, two potato, three potato, four! A litter of potatoes is knocking at your door! You may have seen them on social media, but Hash Brown, French Fry, Tater Tot and Mash are finally ready to make their website debut. After long last, these fluffy pups are old enough to start looking for their new homes. This cute quartet is social, friendly and adventurous! Funny story–their curiosity recently led them across a porcupine that gifted them a few of their prickles. They bravely endured getting the spikes removed by our vet…but can you say OUCH?! Hopefully, these four have learned to be a little more cautious in the future. 🙂 Now, we don’t have much of a guess on this quartet’s breed, but from the size of their paws, they are expected to be medium-sized or larger come adulthood…the perfect size for a house with kids or other pets! If you’re looking for a fun-loving, huggable addition to your family, any one of these puppies will certainly fill your plate. So, don’t delay! These spuds are HOT and ready to go!

Story
Bingo is a very special dog that was adopted in January of 2020 by a beloved volunteer and friend of SNIPSA. As Bingo was passed over for adoption again and again, he found a special friend in SNIPSA’s dog walker, Kalvin. Day after day, week after week, Kalvin and Bingo went on afternoon walks. This special bond blossomed into best buds for life when Kalvin officially adopted Bingo. Devastatingly, Kalvin passed away in early November. While our hearts are broken for a friend lost too soon, we are committed to making sure Bingo finds a new family who can offer him just as much love (and as many walks) as dear Kalvin. A happy and energetic pup with a huge love of fetching toys, Bingo is also an epic cuddle bug! While his bond for his “human” is strong, he will do better as an only pet. This lover boy is eager to please and would make a doting, loyal companion. We are so invested in finding Bingo the right home that we enrolled him in doggy boot camp at Lone Star State K9. He has spent the past few weeks brushing up on his manners so he can be the best boy for his new owners. Bingo means the world to us and we hope he can find a fresh start in 2024. Will you be the one to offer Bingo another chance at happiness?

Story
If you’re gonna play in Texas, you gotta have a Fiddle in the band! Have you met this dappled doggo? Fiddle was rescued in San Marcos before being welcomed into our program. This gorgeous girl is six years old and used to a home environment, which means she is as well-mannered as they come. She keeps her crate clean, walks perfectly on her leash and rarely barks. Fiddle is also rather low energy by nature. She is far from demanding, and it truly doesn't take much to keep her happy! From joining in your strolls around town, to napping with you and your other pets, to happily staring out the window during car rides, this pup is content as long as she is by your side. One thing to note is Fiddle has been treated for heartworms, so her adoption fee is slightly higher. She has persevered through so many hardships, but you would never know from looking at her! With her lovable nature and calm demeanor, Fiddle is a fan favorite at SNIPSA. She is just waiting on that perfect person to offer her the second chance she deserves. So, if rescuing a dog sounds like music to your ears, apply to meet Fiddle today! She would make an EASY addition to any home!

Story
Hold on! Keep your eyes peeled before you miss the the most spudtastic dog of all! Meet Spud, a mama brought to us all the way from San Marcos, Texas. Spud and her army of puppy potatoes were rescued by San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter before they journeyed down to SNIPSA. While her babies are not quite old enough to be adopted yet, Spud is already searching for her forever home! Spud is a sweet lady with so much love to give. She is quick to greet every new person she meets with tons of tail wags and lots of kisses! Spud walks beautifully on a leash, though she might proceed with caution in new environments. She also gets along well with fellow canines, and might appreciate becoming part of a doggy duo! If you’re looking for an affectionate companion, Spud is sure to butter you up! So, what are you waiting for? Submit an application for this hot (potato) mama today!
