Story
This pup is simply serendipitous! Or should we say, Sher-endipitous. 😉 Meet Sherri, a fun and fancy-free rescue hailing from San Antonio, Texas. At just 11 months old, this gorgeous gal has plenty of puppy energy and has even learned some manners. She loves to chase balls, hop along on her leash and show off for treats. Her mastered commands include “sit” and “come” so far, though she will surely make the perfect training candidate given her eager to please attitude. Sherri is almost fully grown and may gain an extra pound or two as she reaches adulthood. Thought to be a Border Collie/Lab mix, she will thrive with plenty of exercise and mind-stimulating activities in her new home. It’s important to note that both of these breeds make excellent family pets, but will want to be a part of the action! So, if you’re looking for a dog that will keep you fit and give you all the love in the world, apply to meet our Sherri. She is just the BEST dog ever!

Story
Welcome Marcos to CCPAL Rescue. Marcos is a 13-week-old Border Collie mix. He is the one in the litter that looks most like the girls in the litter. He is black white and tan and is calmer than both of the white Border Collies in this litter. The momma dog is a pure-bred Border Collie and she is a farm dog that herds goats. Marcos was born on a farm. Marcos is one of the smaller boy pups in the litter. All the boys are bigger than the girls. He and the girls are the least active pups. These pups should be 40-45 pounds full grown is our best estimate. The other parent is a mystery. The momma is a farm dog and herds the goats. Marcos has medium length coat and it is nice and soft. The pups like water, are affectionate and smart. They were good getting their bath and Marcos is quiet when you pick him up and has the most beautiful coat and eyes. He has the longer coat like the Border Collie. He is smart and will be a fun boy to train. We would like someone who has owned the working breed or a border collie. People who have had a BC do love this breed. He is good in his litter playing and is less energetic than the white boy dogs. Today he got his first round of vaccines and his Nexgard. He will then be neutered and ready for his new home. He will be loved on by the kennel workers here at the shelter until he finds his new home. He was turned in by the person that had the female mother Border Collie. These pups are precious and would be fine with children or other dogs. We like the children to be 8 or older. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See his cute video!!

Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. ALL our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Jasper - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! The name Jasper means 'bringer of treasure'. Bringing me into your home will for sure be bringing you a treasure, as the name represents patience, faithfulness and dependability. A true treasure!! At 5 years, I had a loving home until my elderly owner had to move and the family just left me behind. I found myself in the local doggie jail thinking I'd be doing 10 to life. Luckily for me I have a guardian angel looking out for me trying to find me the perfect fur-ever home. Where faithfulness, dependability and patience are indeed considered treasures! I come in right around 40lbs which is a pawsome size for any and all your daily going on's, from leisurely walks to some nature hikes, from river excursions to trips to the park. I'm active and ready to help you experience it all!! I do well with all people and other dogs. I'm house trained and out of the puppy destructive stage. I don't need to be consistently monitored, if I'm quiet for too long, come check I'm probably taking a nap. I'd make a fabulous addition to your family even for a first time pet parent. My gorgeous shiny coat is of medium length and may require a brushing a few times a week. I will make it worth the little bit of time it takes by giving you my puppy dog eyes and seeing my happy tail a waggin'!! I'm looking to adopt me a family where I'll be your BFF, your sidekick in sharing all your daily going on's, your constant in life where I'll always be there for you!! Are you looking for a 'treasure' to complete your life? Look no further, I just may be your boy!!!

Meet Loki! He’s an outgoing and playful border collie who loves everyone! He came to us as an owner surrender due to a move, but he’s house trained and crate trained. He loves to play with other dogs and he loves all people. He enjoys playing fetch and going for walks. He’s super affectionate. Some of his favorite treats are frozen carrots and apples! He’s good for the groomer, but nervous of the hair dryer, so does best with a towel dry. Loki’s a ready to go dog who’s looking for an active family to enjoy life with! He’s about 4 years old and weighs around 60 pounds, but could probably lose about 10 pounds to be a healthier weight.Apply to adopt: charmingpetrescue.org/adoptIMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Ziggy got adopted right away but Zoey still is looking for a forever home. She loves playing with toys and giving kisses, she also likes to play in water. Zoey has lots of energy, but also loves to just chill with you, she's a ppl kind of dog, she is very smart and curious too. She appears to be house trained and crate trained. Though she came in with her brother she is really not fond of playing with other dogs but will tolerate them. If interested in meeting Zoey please email us for an application.

Story
This special girl was rescued out of a greenbelt ditch with her sisters. Feral and scared to death, they were eventually caught and brought to us. Both girls would not let us touch them for the first few weeks, then progress began. Not 100% trusting of humans so a special home is needed; experienced with feral dogs, quiet, no kids, not alot of visitors or sudden changes. Reyna needs to trust her person and not be expected to be perfect. She is a flight risk. New things, new noises and people make her a uneasy. She gives great hugs and kisses to our staff but that is after 5 years of rehab. She walks well on a leash, loves other dogs, loves toys and blankets, and would love to be in a home to keep her safe. If you have the patience and love, in a non-changing environment for Reyna needs give us a call for more details.

If you have the patience and love Issa needs give us a call, she may never be that snuggly, go-fetch girl but she is very goofy in her own way.

Story
If you’re gonna play in Texas, you gotta have a Fiddle in the band! Howdy, my name’s Fiddle. After my buddy, Banjo, and I got taken in by some pretty nice folks up in San Marcos, it wasn’t long before SNIPSA was kind enough to take us into their program. Despite being heartworm-positive, the staff at SNIPSA have already seen that I am a strong-willed lady who will not let a pesky parasite keep me from having an amazing life with my new family. You’ll notice that my adoption fee is slightly higher than your average dog, but that’s just to cover my heartworm treatment to ensure that I am my best self in my new home. Now, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty and go over a few of my pros and cons. First of all, I am already an adult - meaning no potty training! That’s right, my house manners are as mannered as they can be. I keep my crate clean, I walk perfectly on a leash, and I rarely bark. As far as cons go, I can’t think of any…Unless you consider loving you too much a con! All I know for certain is that I would make a wonderful companion for anyone who is a first-time dog owner. So if you’re looking for someone who’s easy, then submit an application to meet me today!

Well, howdy! I’m Maggie May, and it’s a pleasure to meet ya! It goes without saying that I’m a country gal, though somehow I found myself at a local pound. Thankfully, SNIPSA spotted me and took me in to help me find a lovin’ family. So, if I look like the southern sweetie of your dreams, just keep on readin’! Here’s what you need to know before taking me home: I’m playful, social and doggone FLUFFY! As an Australian Shepherd, you can expect me to be about medium-sized once fully-grown. Aussies like me are well-known for our high intelligence and boundless energy. I will be happiest in an environment where I have a job to do or plenty of activities to keep me busy! That said, don’t be fooled by my love for fun—I still enjoy being held and snuggling at the end of the day. With my big puppy brain, I am also well on my way to mastering my puppy manners. So, don’t delay! Fill out that application and lasso my heart before someone else does!

Story
Bingo is a very special dog that was adopted in January of 2020 by a beloved volunteer and friend of SNIPSA. As Bingo was passed over for adoption again and again, he found a special friend in SNIPSA’s dog walker, Kalvin. Day after day, week after week, Kalvin and Bingo went on afternoon walks. This special bond blossomed into best buds for life when Kalvin officially adopted Bingo. Devastatingly, Kalvin passed away in early November. While our hearts are broken for a friend lost too soon, we are committed to making sure Bingo finds a new family who can offer him just as much love (and as many walks) as dear Kalvin. A happy and energetic pup with a huge love of fetching toys, Bingo is also an epic cuddle bug! While his bond for his “human” is strong, he will do better as an only pet. This lover boy is eager to please and would make a doting, loyal companion. We are so invested in finding Bingo the right home that we enrolled him in doggy boot camp at Lone Star State K9. He has spent the past few weeks brushing up on his manners so he can be the best boy for his new owners. Bingo means the world to us and we hope he can find a fresh start in 2024. Will you be the one to offer Bingo another chance at happiness?
