Story
Shared by Bruce's Foster Parent- What a fun lil guy he is! He is very smart. Learns quickly, so we have sit, come, stay and place. I've designated a little dog fleece for him as his place and he will go to it and sit. All works in progress but pretty darn good for one night with him. We will do 20 minute drills on this stuff over the course of days. He is like a little over -ull water balloon, always ready to pee. But I am learning his signals and we are getting a groove of getting outside before peeing. This will need much more work but a good start. He comes with a built in fetch mode, so playing ball is fun.He has a great sense of smell. He will find treats and uses his nose a ton. He will answer in kind if a dog barks at him, but he will listen to NO and stop. And then not do it again. Bruce is getting practice on NOT BARKING back. He is a bit wary when first meeting a new person, but that is overcome quite readily. He really wanted a Mommy. I am clearly that to him. Wants to be with me and preferably on me if he can. But will settle in a crate or my gated off room if left alone and ignored when whines.Bruce loves children but not other animals. He is a dominant puppy that does not back down. He prefers to be with his person and can be vocal when he is left alone. He will benefit greatly from positive training and a fenced yard. This border collie mix is young, smart and ready for a family with a job for him.

Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Bella is a sweet border collie mix who came to us from our friends at ARFS - Animal Rescue Friends Society of Grant Co., Wa! She is so sweet and loving and would be happy with an active family! We are estimating she is about 45 pounds and over a year old, unsure of her exact age. Bella was rescued from a hoarding situation in Eastern Washington so she is still learning basic commands but is showing how smart she is and how fast she learns! She has been doing well with leash training. Message us to schedule a meet and greet with Bella! Adoption fee : $250

Story
This little girl is very energetic. She enjoys playing fetch. She did not get a good start in life which showed us she was not well-socialized, so she can take a bit to warm up to new people and situations. We had her in foster to help her calm down and that did wonders. She requires a fully fenced yard. She shows a little too much interest in small critters and cats. She will need to be leashed at all times (outside), for the first few months until a strong bond is made with her new family. She has been around older children and does well. She is not fully potty trained, but is getting closer. She is a young adult and very nice size, we feel she can be a Catahoula Hound/Blue Heeler/Kelpie/Husky mix maybe? Her Foster Mom had this to say about her;I never did let her off the leash but I would use one of those retractable ones so she would think she was loose and when she would think about chasing the bunnies, I would just say, "Myla no" and she would put her focus back on me l. She was fine with the pigs but when she thought it was going to get me she put herself between me and the pig like she was ready to protect me if something happened, I just said, "Myla no" and she was fine. As far as other dogs we didn't get that far. My mom's dog would come to our sliding glass door and she would just start shaking not acting aggressive just scared. I did let her go up to the puppies next to her kennel at the shelter and she sniffed them then lost interest and walked away. I don't think she would be hard to get used to another dog as long as it was calm and was done slowly like on a walk or something. In the house she listened really well. Idk about cats but I think anything that runs would be a game to her. She's obsessed with playing fetch as long as you have two balls she doesn't like to put the first one down till she sees you ready to throw the next ball. She likes to cuddle and likes kids we had ten kids at the house that were my son's age and under (9 years and less) and she was having a blast. She comes sits stays and shakes - So she does have some good recall. This is their experience.

Story
Cowgirl is a smaller Australian Cattle Dog. She is used to being inside and outside. She enjoys walks along the river, car rides and getting all the treats. She could stand to lose some weight. She is smart, obedient, friendly and playful. She has not been around a cat, so we don't know how that would go. She does know sit, shake and lay down.
