Louis is a sweet soul. He loves the outdoors, laying out in the yard, going on car rides, loves to be pet. He is easy to have around. He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a quiet, easy friend. He will make a best friend. Louis is the perfect sized dog at 51 pounds with the most beautiful soft coat of fur that barely sheds. See his personality here: https://youtu.be/S5f9gFQe7vM Despite living in the world in silence, being deaf, Louis is a great companion, proving that communication goes beyond words. This boy does not need to hear to give you love. He is a born cuddler who snuggles in and loves hugs! He has had professional training and did very well. Louis was born to explore, this adventurer is always up for a journey, making him the perfect sidekick for outdoor escapades or even dining out. Louis is an easy guest for car rides, he sits patiently waiting to see where you are going. Whether it's a leisurely errand or a road trip, Louis is always ready to hop into the car and join the fun. Louis has a BIG love for the great outdoors. From long walks in the brisk air to short trots around the block, Louis thrives in outside. His energy and curiosity make him an ideal companion for hiking, camping, and exploring new trails. Louis's uniqueness lies in his ability to navigate the world without hearing a single sound. His keen senses and heightened awareness make him attuned to his surroundings, proving that love knows no boundaries. Louis communicates through a language of affection, using his expressive eyes, warm cuddles, and playful antics to show you his love. With each tail wag and gentle nuzzle, he melts hearts and breaks down barriers. Louis, the deaf adventurer, is a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the unspoken bond that transcends words. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. Story
Hello, my name is ENYA, I am about 4 yrs. old, Australian shepherd/Samoyed/Retriever mix. I weigh about 45 lbs, I am microchipped, spayed and up to date with shots. My breed is a mix of Australian shepherd and Samoyed, and I am fostered by the Founder of AnimalDefense Rescue.org [ADR.org] on Orcas Island, WA. I was rescued from a "hoarding case" in CA where about thirty dogs looking like me were seized. My new friends here on Orcas Island (dogs and cats) have helped me, and I love to be with other dogs. I do know my pack, but to get to know a human will take time and while I have made huge progress, I still must feel more comfortable with leashes or harnesses. Once she is attached to the new person/adopter she feels very confident and will follow your commands. ADR.org would like to see her at home. -with an experienced dog owner that will go all the way with me: an additional dog or dogs will help me settle in for sure. - that perseveres with patience, but as the same time is displaying authority so she respects you as leader and feels safe - a home without young children or toddlers as this might overwhelm her - a fenced property (ENYA is not a city dog and/or apartment/high rise building dog) If you are interested in seeing videos, and learning more about me, and meeting me, the first step would be to send an email to: ADR@animaldefenserescue.org, add some photos and tell me a little bit about you. ADR.org will then have a longer phone call with to get to know you. Cheers and big WOOFS from Orcas Island! ENYA April 2023

I adopted this dog from a friend. River is high energy, and destructive when left alone, though she is very loving, and craves human attention. She is also an escape artist, and my fences will not confine her.

Story
If I have an approved adopter, I can come to Canada in late April, as I have a flight angel to bring me. Greetings everyone. My name is Meeya (Mia) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Australian Shepard/Canaan Dog mixAge: 7 moGender: femaleWeight: 7.5 kgHighlight(s): playful, happy, interactive, social, strong, and beautiful! Being a growing little girl. I love my food... and not only my food..  well many things in life, it's all so new. I love people, kids, and other dogs. People here in the Republic of Georgia know me as Warrior Mia (you will find out why shortly.)Discovered alone in the Republic of Georgia with my 3 other siblings during a flood, my mom never came back. Glad there were loving people who helped save us.I have recently recovered from the parvo virus. Because of me, many Georgians and foreigners in my country came together to help. All of them helped by checking in on me, ensuring I received everything needed... did I get my meals, my meds, and so on. Big thanks for all the nice people who helped me get all better!I enjoy playing with dogs and people, and with my brother Baloo (also posted.) I have probably a tad more get up and go than Baloo though. Strangers petting me is no problem. I will sit and wag my tail. Yup. Other things I love... water and playing with my siblings are a couple. I'm also hanging out with a couple adult dogs where I live too. I'm a social pup. I haven't had any cat communications yet though. My foster is working on my potty training, so hoping I'll be "in the know" better by the time I arrive in Canada. They have also been working leash training with me. https://youtube.com/shorts/v1_uGNe6hLQ, https://youtube.com/shorts/MQXSVWiC1vw, https://youtube.com/shorts/0CVzanZ_1AU, https://youtube.com/shorts/3kNjrUbKUwk, https://youtube.com/shorts/9dbcKC3Dnys. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: most likelyKids: yes Fears: none observed, except maybe Fireworks. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: very little, potty training in the worksLeash skills: yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: in process. Please help me continue to learn! Health notes: Parvo survivorI am too young yet to be spayed/neutered, but I will be vaccinated by the time I arrive. Spay/neuter will be the responsibility of the adopter and is required for my adoption to be finalized. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##1881916##

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Lincoln! He is a very high energy, active and sweet 2-year-old, 40 lb Australian Shepherd. He is a happy boy and loves to get attention from his people! He will do great with a family that understands herding dogs and their needs. He can be strong willed and is still working on basic obedience and will need a family that will continue his training. He is working on not jumping up and mouthing right now so he needs an adult only home or a home with kids over 14. He is super sweet, but he has a lot of happy and unfocused energy. He is very smart and will thrive with training. He would love to be in a home in a suburban or rural neighborhood with a securely fenced yard for him to run and play. He will do best in a home where someone is home much of the time. He likes other dogs but can play very rough with them and would rather spend time with his humans so for that reason we are looking for a home for him as an only dog or with another dog who is able to handle his rough play. He will need an adopter that will keep him physically and mentally active and would make a great jogging or adventure buddy. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Fury! He is a 9-year-old, 55 lb Blue Merle AKC registered Australian Shepherd who was surrendered to us as his owner could no longer care for him. Fury loves to be petted, pampered and groomed. He likes to play by himself with soccer balls and plushie toys, he tosses then around and chases them independently. He loves to lounge in the sunshine. Fury would like to find himself his very own retirement home where he can be an only dog with his own securely fenced yard to relax in during the day, and a cozy kennel at night. He would do best in a home where he can be the only pet. He walks well on a leash for the most part but can be leash reactive and he does not care for other male dogs or dogs who get in his face on leash. He will lunge at cars that pass by as his herding breed instinct takes over. For this reason, he would do best in a quiet suburban or rural neighborhood. He’s been gentle with the young child in his previous home under supervision but nips at the butts of anyone who runs next to him so it is recommended that he goes to an adult only home or with children over 12. When feeding time comes around, he acts as if he is going to be food aggressive/possessive by growling and sounding scary but is really just a marshmallow with no follow through. Fury is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $350.
