Meet Chester, a one year old male Aussie mix. Chester was found covered in ticks and burrs, we were able to brush out some of the burrs but it is still a work in progress with that fluffy coat... Thankfully the ticks are no more! Chester has a gentle personality, while we pulled burrs and ticks off of him he just stood there, thankful for the attention. He walks amazingly on the leash and seems to be a go-with-the-flow kinda guy. This mellow boy is 60 pounds and a real mix, we think he might have some Husky and probably some German Shepherd in him. All those breeds seem to have deposited their best qualities to make a phenomenal dog. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Sunday, that's right we are open all days of the week! A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.
