Story
Meet Frito! This gentle, curly-coated sweetheart has so much love to give. After arriving at the SNIPSA office from Atascosa Animal Allies, all she needed was a good bath to start opening up to us. Calm and ever so loving, Frito has all of the SNIPSA office fangirling over her cute looks and sweet disposition. Energetic, good-natured, and famously friendly, Border Terriers are known to be great family dogs. Frito’s got the personality—and the signature scruff. Chihuahuas are known to be incredibly loyal and to love attention, so get ready for some one-on-one snuggles with your new favorite gal. While her small size makes it possible for her to adapt to apartment life, it’s also important that Frito finds a home environment where she can get a lot of exercise throughout the day to release some of that extra energy (though, we think 90% of it goes to keeping her tail wagging 24/7). Her secret? She doesn’t actually like Fritos—but she’d be over the moon if you threw her a treat and gave a little scratch behind the ears! This girl is eager and easy to please. Who wouldn’t want to snuggle up with this bug in a rug? Searching for a sweet girl who can be your forever companion? Apply to adopt Frito today!

Story
Located in San Antonio Texas Meet Gerti the Border Terrier! She is our newest addition. She was found running the streets with her Dogo Argentino pal. The family that found them spent weeks trying to find their owners with no success. Gerti was not spayed and did not have a microchip. The good new is, she is now spayed, microchipped, and has had all her vaccines! The bad news is, she is heartworm positive. All though we are all very bummed about this she has a fabulous veterinarian that is taking care of her! She has started Gerti on her heartworm treatment protocol and says there is no reason why she can’t find a new home while she is undergoing treatment! Now we just need to find her that perfect place to call home! If you are interested in Gerti let us know.

Story
Quarantine up 5/21 Meet Happy .... and her name couldn’t be more fitting. Happy is a 15-pound bundle of joy, possibly a Pug Terrier mix or Brussels Griffon mix, and we estimate she’s around two years old. She is truly the life of the party! If dogs could apply for jobs, Happy would make the perfect Walmart greeter — she loves everyone she meets and is always full of happiness. This fun-loving girl plays a little rough and tumble, reminding us of a tiny bull in a china shop. Because of her playful energy, she would do best in a home with another dog who enjoys wrestling, romping, and keeping up with her spirited personality. Happy absolutely adores people and has never met a stranger. She was found at the Weslaco shelter in deep South Texas with no collar, no tags, not spayed, not microchipped, and sadly, no one came looking for her. Their loss is truly our gain, because we are beyond grateful to have this sweet, joyful little girl safe with us. Happy is now ready for the loving future she deserves. Happy is located in Hondo, TX and a meet and greet can be scheduled with an approved application. If you’d like to make this sweet dog part of your family, please review our adoption process and complete an application here: https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip Breed and age listings are our best guess, based on appearance. Whether you're adopting from us or anywhere in the southern states, please familiarize yourself with Chagas disease. It's endemic in the south. Named for my good looks, I definitely live up to my name! But I'm more than just a pretty face—I'm outgoing, playful, and always ready for fun. Whether I'm making new friends, playing with my dog buddies, or tagging along on an adventure, I bring happiness wherever I go. I'm incredibly social and have never met a stranger. People? Love them. Dogs? LOVE them. In fact, if there's another dog around, chances are I'm already trying to convince them to be my new best friend. I have an active, playful spirit and would love a family that enjoys getting out and about as much as I do. Don't let the glamour fool you—I'm not a diva. I'm just a happy-go-lucky girl who wants to have fun, make friends, and spread joy everywhere I go. Think of me as a big dog personality packed into a perfectly portable 15-pound package. PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org 🐾 Meet Dumplin! 🩷🐾 If you've ever wanted your very own tiny gargoyle, lookout supervisor, or queen of the castle, allow me to introduce myself: I'm Dumplin! I'm a 5-year-old little lady with a gentle soul and a love for high places. You'll often find me perched on the back of a couch, lounging in a chair, or supervising the household from the top of a crate. The higher the view, the better! I can be shy when meeting new people and prefer to take things at my own pace. Loud, busy environments aren't really my style, so I'm looking for a calm, quiet home where I can feel safe and secure. The good news? Once I know you're a friend, I warm up quickly and become a sweet, devoted companion. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to help show me the ropes. I'm not demanding—I just need a little patience, understanding, and a cozy elevated spot to call my throne. Dumplin at a Glance: 🐾 5 years old 🐾 Female 🐾 Great with other dogs 🐾 Shy at first, but warms up quickly 🐾 Would thrive in a quiet home 🐾 Loves sitting up high and keeping watch over her kingdom 🐾 Sweet, gentle, and loyal If you're looking for a calm companion with a quirky personality and adorable underbite, Dumplin is ready to rule your heart from the highest seat in the house. 👑💕🐶
