Story
Located in San Antonio Texas Meet Gerti the Border Terrier! She is our newest addition. She was found running the streets with her Dogo Argentino pal. The family that found them spent weeks trying to find their owners with no success. Gerti was not spayed and did not have a microchip. The good new is, she is now spayed, microchipped, and has had all her vaccines! The bad news is, she is heartworm positive. All though we are all very bummed about this she has a fabulous veterinarian that is taking care of her! She has started Gerti on her heartworm treatment protocol and says there is no reason why she can’t find a new home while she is undergoing treatment! Now we just need to find her that perfect place to call home! If you are interested in Gerti let us know.

Story
Meet Samantha, a sweet, silly girl who is fifteen pounds of fawn-colored fur and fun. Yes, Samantha is an adorable Pug/Brussels Griffon mix whose silky, shaggy fur almost covers her googly, brown button eyes. This pup is a a certified foot warmer by day who prefers sleeping with you in your bed at night. For now she lives in a foster home where she's crated when the family works, but roams the house freely most of the time. Samantha is housetrained, but sometimes has one accident, and only one, when first moved to a new home. Basically, she's a young, medium-energy girl who loves running laps during exercise time in her yard. Samantha also adores other dogs, so she would be happiest in a home that features another canine companion to romp with. Yes Samantha can be playful, curious or chill. She enjoys splooting -- lying flat on the floor with her front legs strait ahead and her back legs stretched flat behind her like a miniature sphinx. The sight, like so many things Samantha does, will make you smile. So apply now to meet this adorable, entertaining sweetheart today! Story
Misha loves other dogs. Misha loves toys. Misha loves every human she's ever met. In fact, Misha would love for you to adopt her. But if you do, you must promise to let this adorable, affectionate pup sit in your lap lots. And petting would be good, plenty of petting! Finally, if she is really lucky, Misha hopes for an adopter who'll play fetch with her and give her squeaky toys. Misha loves all toys but especially squeakies! But even if her new owner doesn't provide toys, Misha will love that person unconditionally. She promises to cover them with kisses in exchange for pets. If they have other dogs or children, Misha will love them too. She won't go potty inside, or bark much inside once she settles into her new home, or chew her adopter's stuff. Because that's the kind of sweet, good girl Misha is. She's also young. Running around and rolling in the grass is as fun for Misha as playing all day with toys or sitting in your lap for hours. Yes, Misha is a happy pup. Plus, she's pint-sized perfection cute. Her floppy ears and wiry, tan coat give her an adorable, scruffy charm that makes your hands itch to pick her up and your fingers itch to pet her. So resist no longer! Story
Boo WHO?! A Boo who would love to be with YOU! This sweet boy arrived at SNIPSA with an unknown history but we suspect somewhere along the way he had a spinal injury. He gets around like a champ greeting his fan club with a wagging tail. Boo is social, curious, and wants to join you on the sofa for long siestas. His favorite show is the Golden Girls and his favorite food is a sliver of steak. He does well with other dogs and is well behaved in the house. He isn’t loud or overbearing and is eager to find a pillow just to bed down wherever that may be. The downside is Boo suffers from mild urinary incontinence and his bladder needs to be manually expressed a few times a day. We know we have probably lost our audience at this point, but in reality it’s super easy. Just a little squeeze, he relaxes and the bladder is emptied. He is aware when the bladder is full and more than willing to help with the process. He can wear a belly band if needed for added confidence. With this aside, we know Boo will need that special person willing to step up for that special dog. Yet, we are confident there is a home for every dog so we were willing to take that chance. Please consider opening your heart and home to our scruffy little friend! He will definitely keep you smiling. Apply to adopt Boo today!

Story
Like her namesake, this little lady has quite the story to tell. When Mary Shelley arrived at SNIPSA, she’d already lived through her own kind of gothic tale. Mary Shelley was discovered in a neglectful situation, doing everything she could to protect her three tiny “creations”: Guillermo, Frankenstein, and Prometheus. With her rough beginnings behind her, this young Norwich Terrier mix has proven that love can rise from even the darkest of places! Now safe and sound, Mary Shelley is showing us her true nature. She is gentle, loyal, and resilient. She’s a small pup with a big heart, ready to trade stormy nights for cozy naps and caring hands. While her pups are growing into their own stories, Mary is eager to begin hers; one filled with brighter days! If you’re looking for a companion with a spark of spirit and a whole lot of heart, Mary Shelley is ready to write her happy ending… with you as the hero of her tale. Apply for her today!
