Story
Chocolate is a name that I like!! I mean, it can be a color or a flavor. It can be a description or a noun :) I like it to describe my personality (melty and sweet) AND my coat- the color of the FINEST Swiss Chocolate :) I am however, many different shades of chocolate- my coat AND my personality. Have you ever had the most rich and sweet delightful taste of chocolate that had a little HEAT at the end?? Or how about the kind of chocolate that melts before it even gets to your palate?? Maybe you have had chocolate in a dessert that surprises you when you bite into it?? I am ALL OF THOSE! I am smart, sweet, spicy, silly and cuddly/melty all the time! Ok, enough of the metaphors, and down to brass tacks- I am a young, smart and silly boy found on the streets but now living it up in my foster home! I am ready for your home! I am best with another dog to hang with while you are gone and an active lifestyle suits my breeds the best. I want nothing more than to give you all the sweet and goofy years of my life, if you promise to love me forever and never abandon me!! ADOPT.... DON'T SHOP!!! SO MANY LIVES DEPEND ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $400 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $800 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Located in San Antonio Texas Meet Gerti the Border Terrier! She is our newest addition. She was found running the streets with her Dogo Argentino pal. The family that found them spent weeks trying to find their owners with no success. Gerti was not spayed and did not have a microchip. The good new is, she is now spayed, microchipped, and has had all her vaccines! The bad news is, she is heartworm positive. All though we are all very bummed about this she has a fabulous veterinarian that is taking care of her! She has started Gerti on her heartworm treatment protocol and says there is no reason why she can’t find a new home while she is undergoing treatment! Now we just need to find her that perfect place to call home! If you are interested in Gerti let us know.

Story
Meet Java Introducing Java! Java is an adorable Border Terrier mix who is approximately 5 months old and currently weighs 7.2 pounds. We rescued this little gal along with her sister Pixel from the Weslaco shelter in South Texas near the border of Mexico. We don’t know how these little ones ended up in the shelter but we are so happy they are here with us to find their loving, forever homes. Java is a typical happy, playful puppy! She is very sweet and enjoys exploring and playing here at the rescue. She is curious, social and enjoys being held. She has a fun personality and in true terrier fashion, she is very smart and likes to be busy and engaged. As with any puppy, we know Java would benefit from basic obedience training to help her learn her manners and be the best puppy she can be. She would be a great companion to grow up in just about any family environment. We can really see her doing well in a home where she can get lot of attention and playtime with her family. She enjoys playing with other dogs and would be a fun buddy for another dog her size. We have no idea who mom and dad are so we can only estimate that Java will be a smaller medium-sized dog full grown. She is just a fun puppy who can’t wait to find a home of her own! Java is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and will be available for adoption after May 11th , 2024. Prior to adoption, she will be spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations/shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $375. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application. If you would like to add this cutie to your family, please review our process and complete an application here - https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Services our dogs receive prior to adoption: Chagas Testing Heartworm and Tick Testing (age appropriate) All age-appropriate vaccines Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives Spay/neuter surgery Microchip *The breed(s) listed are guessed and based on the dog's physical appearance.
