Story
Jellybean is the life of the party! Jellybean is estimated to be 3 years old, and she is fun with a capital "F"! Like most Boston terriers, Jellybean is a social and playful girl who loves nothing more than making new friends and playing fetch. She is an active girl looking for a family that can keep up with her adorable enthusiasm. Jellybean is fully grown and weighs about 15lbs. Jellybean was found by one of our kitten foster moms. After unsuccessfully finding her previous owners, the foster mom got her vetted, and we made her a YCSPCA foster dog so that we can help find her fur-ever home. What's not to love about Jellybean? She's ridiculously adorable, and there is never a dull moment when she is around. Her absolute favorite thing in the world is playing fetch with balls, and she could play for hours if you let her. She would be a wonderful, active companion for someone who wants a compact cutie to tag along for outdoor adventures. Jellybean loves making new human friends and is quick to cover you in kisses when you meet her. She is a bubbly girl who has never met a person she doesn't love. Jellybean has been doing great with her basic manners training, but is still working on her impulse control, especially if she sees other dogs on walks. She is very food-motivated and smart, so she just needs a family committed to helping her learn. Jellybean has been doing well living with another Boston terrier, but has a strong personality, so would do best as an only dog, or with a submissive dog who is okay with her calling all the shots. Jellybean needs a kitty-free home. Jellybean would make a wonderful addition to a home with kids 8 years and older. Jellybean has been doing great with her housetraining. She is used to being kept in a bedroom while home alone and sleeps overnight in the laundry room. She will whine for a few minutes, but is quick to settle. She may do well living in an apartment with lots of daily exercise. Jellybean is such a wonderful little gal, and she can't wait to start the rest of her life with her fur-ever family. If you think that might be you, submit an application today!   Jellybean's adoption fee is $500.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. Story
I’m Cappuccino. I am a five-year-old, neutered, smooth coated Boston terrier mix with beautiful eyes. I am fully vaccinated and will be micro-chipped. I love to go to the beach and play in the water. Starbucks run anyone?? I LOVE getting Puppuccino’s! I’m a fun guy and love chasing around a laser. I will be your best friend, your cuddle bug and your protector. I’ll always try to make you smile when you’re sad. I am a loving pup, who enjoys being close with my human. I was raised with cats, however, after being attacked by a big dog, I am frightened by other dogs. I am reactive on the leash but hopefully you will get a trainer to teach me that I am SAFE. I am being rehomed because my mom works two jobs and I am very lonely. Will you be my new forever family? I can’t wait to meet you. See you soon! If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. Story
Meet Calvin, a one-year-old Boston Terrier sweetheart whos looking for a soft place to land and a family to adore. Calvin is a little different from other dogshe has a neurologic condition that gives him an adorable head tilt, some facial tremors, and a unique wobbly way of standing and walking. But what hasnt changed is his gentle, affectionate, people-loving personality. Calvin is happiest when hes right beside you. Hell gladly hobble over for cuddles, settle in next to you during the workday, or soak up all the pets youre willing to give. Despite his limited mobility, hes fully potty trained and patiently waits for his outdoor breaks. Hes been blossoming more every day in foster care and is starting to show just how sweet and trusting he truly is. Calvin would thrive in a calm home where he can relax, be carried when needed, and spend his days near his humans. Hes low maintenance, incredibly loving, and just wants to be someones special little companion. If youre looking for a tender, gentle soul to share your heart and home with, Calvin will be the perfect match. Story
Meet the beefcake, Freddie. He is a very special dog who loves people, and his housemate Mookie. Freddie knows how to use a dog door, and loves to snuggle. He will sleep next to you in bed and even spoon you on occasion. Freddie love to play tug of war and chase his buddy. Freddie is extremely goofy and has a heart of gold. He also like to get into the dirty laundry and the trash. Freddie has separation anxiety, and would do best in a home where someone is there often, and there is another dog, preferably his buddy Mookie, where he can be the Beta.

Story
Have you heard the phrase, a face only a mother could love? Well, let us introduce you to the inspiration for it. Meet Guppy! This little guy may not have won the genetics lottery, but what he lacks in looks he makes up for in charm. He could be a pug mix, he could not be. Perhaps bulldog? Only a DNA test will reveal the truth. Do we really know his age? Could he be 2 or 7, who is to say? He was born without his right eye, has a uniquely shaped head, a major underbite, and an endearing wobbly walk. He came to us from the California Central Valley with a few other pugs after his owner went into a nursing home without a care plan. Guppy is looking for a home where he can chew on toys, lounge the day away, and follow his person like a shadow. Hes crate-trained, and while hes still working on potty training, a consistent routine will help him get back on track after being shuffled around these last few weeks. He's good with confident cats and dogs of all sizes, but we suspect he would be happy as an only-dog, too. If youre searching for a quirky, one-of-a-kind companion, Guppy just might be the pug for you! He's being fostered in Rohnert Park through The Pug Hotel.

Story
Jack came to us as a stray from the Central Valley and quickly won everyone over with his incredibly sweet nature. He loves being petted, cuddling, and being held, and he is always ready to give kisses. Because his vision is limited, Jack truly values human touch as both guidance and comfort. The vet thinks he's around 3 years old; his teeth are in good shape! Jack has limited vision in one eye, and the other eye was either underdeveloped or closed due to an untreated injury before he came to us. We believe he can see shadows, but he relies heavily on sound to navigate his world. Despite this, he gets around very well and takes everything in stride. He is great with other dogs, friendly with strangers, and unsurprisingly unconcerned about cats. Jack loves his meals and treats, does wonderfully in the car, and is currently working on potty training. Any marking behavior should improve after his neuter on February 3. He is fully vaccinated and microchipped. If you are looking for a happy, affectionate dog to curl up with and share your life, Jack is a perfect match. He would do well in almost any home and is an easy companion to take along with you. Homes with stairs will need to use baby gates to prevent any accidental tumbles.

Story
Say hello to Remy and that adorable little tongue! Its always peeking out because Remy has no teeth (more on that below), and it only adds to her charm. Remy is a four-year-old pug who came to us as an owner surrender and is now looking for her forever home. Remy is affectionate, smart, and already knows her basic commands (and some fun ones!) Shes fully potty trained and loves nothing more than being close to her people. Right now, shes a bit unsure about the changes in her life and bonds quickly, but that just means she has an incredible amount of love to give. A true velcro pug, Remy wants to be by your side and go everywhere with you. Shes an active girl who enjoys playtime and exercise, especially a good game of fetch (though shes still working on the drop it part). Remy enjoys walks, sniffing around, and soaking up the sunshine. She would do best with someone experienced in leash training, as she can be reactive to large dogs while on leash. While she generally gets along with other dogs, she does show some resource guarding, so thoughtful introductions and guidance are important. Shes been around cats and young kids, but she may thrive best in a home without them. Remy would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to provide the consistency, reassurance, and companionship she needs right now. All of Remys teeth were removed when she was young due to some malformations, so she eats softened kibble and absolutely loves her veggies. Bonus: no dental cleanings needed! She has no health issues other than the one that was resolved with the teeth pulling. Her previous family decided to rehome her after welcoming a baby and no longer having the time she deserves. Remy is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and shes currently being fostered in San Francisco. Shes ready to give her whole heart to a family who will cherish her forever.
