Bodie is a sweet, energetic pug with a big personality. He gets so excited when he gets attention that he can't help but tell you all about it. He's playful, curious, loves being around other dogs, and is already starting to discover just how nice it is to have people looking out for him. He loves playing with toys and bones and will jump on the couch for a nice nap. He loves walks and does well on a leash and dog parks are amazingly fun. He is potty trained to a dog door now as well. We estimate Bodie is 4-6 years old. He came to us from Oakland Animal Services after being found as a stray, and while we don't know much about his past, we suspect he hasn't had much positive human interaction. Some of his teeth are unusually short, which our vet believes may be from chewing on a cage or enclosure. He's also a little jumpy, fearful at the vet so may need some sedation for vet appointments which isn't uncommon. Bodie has learned that humans are much nicer than those he knew in the past. He will let you pet him, carry him and touch his face which scared him at first. At our recent Oakland pug meetup, he did wonderfully mingling with dozens of pugs, and we loved seeing how much confidence he gained simply from being around friendly people and dogs. While he was fine around children at the park and at another adoption event, we would recommend older kids since we don't know his past traumas. This sweet guy has come a long way from living in a cage to being in a loving foster home and will continue to flourish in his forever home we are sure. It's hard to know what Bodie experienced before rescue, but some of his behaviors suggest that life may not have always been kind to him. He can be anxious about what's happening around him, and all of this sudden attention, affection, new people, and new experiences are a lot to process. We think there's a very sweet, loving dog underneath that uncertainty, and he just needs time to realize that this good life isn't going anywhere. Bodie is looking for someone who will meet him where he is and give him the patience and stability to build trust at his own pace. He's high energy and would likely love having another confident, friendly dog in the home to show him the ropes. We'd especially love a home where his people are around most of the time or can bring him along for adventures. He deserves the chance to finally learn what it feels like to be safe, wanted, and cared for. Bodie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and fostered in Sacramento, CA.

Solo is a sweet, easygoing guy who enjoys being near his people and hanging out with his foster pug siblings. He's not especially snuggly, but he likes having his people around and is always happy to entertain himself with his favorite rope toys and stuffies. He's also very food motivated, which should make training a fun and rewarding experience. He's doing great with potty training, is comfortable in his kennel, and is doing well overall in his foster home. He enjoys affection and is getting sweeter and sweeter every day. Noodle is ready for his forever home! We're looking for a very special family for this incredible little guy! We estimate Noodle is about 9 months old, and he's been with us since May, when we rescued him from the shelter as a stray. Noodle is a one-of-a-kind puppy who will always be small and baby-like. He loves being held, melts right into your arms, and is the sweetest little snuggle buddy. He loves everyone he meets and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. His favorite pastime at the moment is being the team mascot at trivia night! Noodle was labeled rescue-only at the shelter because of severe deformities in both knees and ankles that left his legs twisted out of alignment. He underwent corrective surgery at UC Davis Veterinary Hospital and has spent the past few months recovering. He's now in physical therapy and working on getting stronger. Noodle will never have a perfectly typical gait, and a genital deformity may make potty training more challenging. But caring for him is a joy, and his medical needs don't take away from the wonderful puppy he is. Noodle has already overcome so much. Now, he deserves a family who will embrace his differences, celebrate his progress, and give him all the love and snuggles he could ever want. He's neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

We estimate Nathan is around 6 years old, and while we're not quite sure what his mix is, we are very sure he's an awesome dog. Nathan is friendly with kids, loves being close to his people, and has plenty of personality. He gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion, but he certainly doesn't need one. We think he'd be perfectly happy as your one and only. Nathan can take a little time to settle in and feel comfortable with someone new, but once he decides you're his person, he's all in. He's curious, funny, and the kind of dog who will keep you smiling. He walks well on leash and is doing great with his house training, too. And one of our favorite things about Nathan?
