Have you heard the phrase, a face only a mother could love? Well, let us introduce you to the inspiration for it. Meet Guppy! This little guy may not have won the genetics lottery, but what he lacks in looks he makes up for in charm. He could be a pug mix, he could not be. Perhaps bulldog? Only a DNA test will reveal the truth. Do we really know his age? Could he be 2 or 7, who is to say? He was born without his right eye, has a uniquely shaped head, a major underbite, and an endearing wobbly walk. He came to us from the California Central Valley with a few other pugs after his owner went into a nursing home without a care plan. Guppy is looking for a home where he can chew on toys, lounge the day away, and follow his person like a shadow. Hes crate-trained, and while hes still working on potty training, a consistent routine will help him get back on track after being shuffled around these last few weeks. He's good with confident cats and dogs of all sizes, but we suspect he would be happy as an only-dog, too. If youre searching for a quirky, one-of-a-kind companion, Guppy just might be the pug for you! He's being fostered in Rohnert Park through The Pug Hotel.

Story
Jack came to us as a stray from the Central Valley and quickly won everyone over with his incredibly sweet nature. He loves being petted, cuddling, and being held, and he is always ready to give kisses. Because his vision is limited, Jack truly values human touch as both guidance and comfort. The vet thinks he's around 3 years old; his teeth are in good shape! Jack has limited vision in one eye, and the other eye was either underdeveloped or closed due to an untreated injury before he came to us. We believe he can see shadows, but he relies heavily on sound to navigate his world. Despite this, he gets around very well and takes everything in stride. He is great with other dogs, friendly with strangers, and unsurprisingly unconcerned about cats. Jack loves his meals and treats, does wonderfully in the car, and is currently working on potty training. If you are looking for a happy, affectionate dog to curl up with and share your life, Jack is a perfect match. He would do well in almost any home and is an easy companion to take along with you. Homes with stairs will need to use baby gates to prevent any accidental tumbles.

Story
If you are looking for nonstop puppy joy, Milo is your guy. He is the definition of young pug energy. Active, playful, affectionate, and social, Milo loves being part of everything you do and will happily follow you from room to room just to stay close. He is still working on potty training, but he is eager to please and very food motivated, which makes training a great opportunity to bond (as successful as pug training can be!). Like most puppies, Milo comes with some classic antics. He jumps up on people, so supervision around small children is important. He also enjoys nibbling on just about everything and can be delightfully excitable. Milo came to us as an owner surrender when his previous family realized they did not have the time needed to properly train and engage a growing puppy. They wanted him to have a home that could dedicate the time and attention he deserves. Milo is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and negative for heartworm.

Story
Meet Finneas! Calling all lap-dog lovers. This incredibly sweet, easygoing boy is happiest curled up in a warm lap whenever he can find one. We estimate Finneas to be around 6 years old. Hes crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and is making great progress with his potty training. Finneas loves his treats and gets along beautifully with dogs of all personalities, from rambunctious to mellow. Hes simply a happy, loving little guy. We are observing that Finneas appears to be hearing and sight impaired, but he navigates his space well with a bit of guidance and quickly gains confidence in familiar surroundings. The vet put him on Tacrolimus to slow the progression of pigmentary keratitis, which he will most likely need for the rest of his life. He would likely enjoy having another friendly dog to help him feel secure as he explores, but more than anything, he just wants to be close to his people. Bring a toy to him and rustle it nearby, and hell happily join in on the fun. We pulled him from Oakland Animal Services. Hes a petite pug at about 15 pounds and is currently being fostered near Sacramento with kids, dogs, and cats. He's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and just got a dental cleaning. His bloodwork came back perfectly fine, as well. We absolutely adore him, and we know you will too.

Story
Meet Bartholomew! We rescued this sweet boy from a shelter in Californias Central Valley, and we estimate hes about 10 months old. He is a happy, affectionate puppy who absolutely comes alive when hes outside with his furry friends. Whether its romping at the dog park or lounging in the sunshine, Bartholomew is in his element. He would thrive in an active home that will take him on regular park outings or one with another playful dog to wrestle, cuddle, and grow up alongside. He lights up when meeting new people and animals and truly loves attention. Big noises can still make him a little skittish, but as he continues to socialize and build confidence, hes settling in more each day. Bartholomew is a champion cuddler. At night, he insists on sleeping as close to his person as physically possible, preferably on your head or tucked into your armpit. Personal space is not his thing. He soaks up affection and gives it right back. Hes doing great with a doggy door and is well on his way with potty training. Hes also working on his leash manners and improving steadily. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and, given his loving nature, would likely do well with kids too. If youre looking for an adorably sweet, slightly goofy, sunshine-loving young dog who will be your shadow and your snuggle buddy, Bartholomew cannot wait to meet you. He's being neutered February 23 and will be adopted out fully vaccinated and microchipped. He's being fostered in Sacramento, CA.

Story
Say hello to Remy and that adorable little tongue! Its always peeking out because Remy has no teeth (more on that below), and it only adds to her charm. Remy is a four-year-old pug who came to us as an owner surrender and is now looking for her forever home. Remy is affectionate, smart, and already knows her basic commands (and some fun ones!) Shes fully potty trained and loves nothing more than being close to her people. Right now, shes a bit unsure about the changes in her life and bonds quickly, but that just means she has an incredible amount of love to give. A true velcro pug, Remy wants to be by your side and go everywhere with you. Shes an active girl who enjoys playtime and exercise, especially a good game of fetch (though shes still working on the drop it part). Remy enjoys walks, sniffing around, and soaking up the sunshine. She would do best with someone experienced in leash training, as she can be reactive to large dogs while on leash. While she generally gets along with other dogs, she does show some resource guarding, so thoughtful introductions and guidance are important. Shes been around cats and young kids, but she may thrive best in a home without them. Remy would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to provide the consistency, reassurance, and companionship she needs right now. All of Remys teeth were removed when she was young due to some malformations, so she eats softened kibble and absolutely loves her veggies. Bonus: no dental cleanings needed! She has no health issues other than the one that was resolved with the teeth pulling. Her previous family decided to rehome her after welcoming a baby and no longer having the time she deserves. Remy is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and shes currently being fostered in San Francisco. Shes ready to give her whole heart to a family who will cherish her forever.
